(OKAY JESS!! I started it!)
Zaria was patrolling around one of the Undian residential areas in the evening. At least...patrolling was the excuse she was using. She really just wanted some time to think about things.
This particular area was one where nothing exciting was really happening....that is- Until she heard a crash coming from around the corner. She hurried to investigate and found a wastebin that had been knocked over in some sort of commotion. "Hello? Who's there?" She called.
There was no answer, and no sign of anyone for the time being. She kicked the wastebin with her foot in just the right manner, causing it to stand upright once more. As she kneeled down to pick up some of the scattered trash: She noticed a Shiny medallion of some kind. It was golden with a single green gem in the middle. Zaria turned it over, examining it. "I bet someone is missing this..." She said to herself. "It's far too nice to just throw away."

Indeed, it was too nice for someone to just carelessly throw away, which meant it was lost. And somewhere out there, someone was looking for it.
Even in the evening without a strong definitive light from either sun or moon the little green emerald-coloured gem sitting perfectly in the centre of the medallion sparkled like a king's personal treasure. Along the outside edges of the jewel were the finest, intricate designs etched into the gold. And while sitting in Zaria's hands the medallion seemed to warm up her palms, as though it gave her in its own way a welcoming hug into its life. Subtle enough to ignore, yet prominent enough to make one feel for even the briefest of moments like they were important in the universe.
But the strangest discovery was yet to come for the Undian Captain when and if she were to notice not far from the wastebin in the alleyway there was a figure hidden by darkness. Something almost too conveniently placed there it was, the closer one would approach would reveal the heels of a mud-splattered pair of leather boots, unmoving as the pair's owner was. On closer inspection, the owner of said boots lay definitely lifeless in the alley, an older man with stab wounds from a fairly large weapon in his chest and along the wall of the building he lay beside there be splatters of blood, as though it'd been dripping down from the rooftop.

Zaria peered further into the alleyway. She took a few steps forward, until her boot hit something. She looked down to see what was blocking her path, and found she couldn't quite make it out through the darkness. She charged her glove, which caused it to glow, emanating enough light to make out the figure. She gasped and almost dropped the medallion she was holding.
Being a little inexperienced, She had not encountered anything like this before, She panicked for a brief moment, then took a deep breath and resumed her cool. She put the medallion away then signaled for immediate assistance.
Help would soon arrive but in the meantime, she checked the figure for any signs of life. She was doubtful, but it wouldn't hurt if he still had a chance, right?

The figure lay as they say, "dead as dead can be", though the wounds found on the old man still appeared quite fresh.
In front of the captain came a dripping of blood, which upon looking upwards was coming from the eavestrough of the building she and the body sat by. The trail dripped downwards along the side of the building and sitting looking from the top of the building was a set of glowing eyes hiding in shadows. They watched the captain carefully, and as quickly as they'd shown up they turned and disappeared in the other direction, the sound of heavy footsteps hitting the roof as it made to flee.
