((after the very open-ended And the tables turn thread. Open if you give me a good reason for you being here ho ho ho)) By this time it was early afternoon the day after Shanira had gone out with Mark. She felt like a silly little schoolgirl, with a bit of thrilled mixed with some disbelief that any of it actually happened, and at the same time as she saw the castle coming closer in the distance she felt an uncomfortable rumbling in the pit of her stomach that told her how much of a lecture she was getting from her master when she climbed up into his chamber's windows. because she refused to use the door like a proper ladyBut it would be okay, because she was going to promise to not touch his study for the next two days. She wouldn't be anywhere near it at all, all his books were safe. No, no that was stupid and she knew that was a bad offer. She sighed, hopping the large stone wall and taking her shortcut through the open garden on the east of the castle. "I hope he's not too angry..." she mused to herself, though despite what she knew she was in for she felt not a sliver of shame!

Shanira entered the garden and made her way following the marble-stoned path that lead towards the castle entrance, the sounds of her heels clacking onthe stone, birds chirping about in the garden and the few servants in the distance maintaining the place being the only sounds accompanying her.
And then there was the bucket of water that Shanira moved to pass by, the one one of the maids had filled for the purpose of watering their plants. That very flimsy, wooden bucket as Shanira's foot stepped beside it exploded into chunks of wood and bent metal, the water splashing and pouring all down the walkway and there where the bucket once stood whole stuck a fairly large, very dense arrow.
Mahila made her graceful leap from one of the tall fruit trees, bow in hand as she landed several feet from behind the young blonde girl.
"Did you enjoy yourself?" Mahila asked rather calmly, bordering on the edge of patronizing. Shanira had gotten away, and she got clever at hiding but Mahila knew that the castle she would have no choice but eventually return to, Alexander was left unattended afterall.

Shanira's head whipped downwards to the water bucket as it 'cracked' in sound, the splashing of water making her take a few steps back as she looked for the cause of the event. She growled quietly as she saw the arrow, and never failing came Mahila's stupid 'i'm-so-much-better-than-you' voice which just made Shanira tense up her shoulders.
"Maybe I did! Did you have fun losing us?" she gave the older angel a challenging stare.

Smug, or so the young one thought she was anyway. Mahila strode around Shanira, placing herself between the direction towards the castle entrance and the younger angelic guardian coolly.
"Not at all, darling. You're reckless and irresponsible, and I have a lot of work to do," she grinned, eyes scanning the girl carefully, "so instead of wasting my time, I reported it to Felios."
No, she didn't. She lied through her teeth, she spent most of the night looking for the two blond angels and ended up finding the mentally-challenged bunny-faced one instead in her searches. But not everyone knew that.

It wasn't something Shanira could quite explain, the feeling she felt the moment Mahila mentioned she'd told Felios about the whole incident. The light-heartedness was torn from her, and she almost felt sick. She didn't understand why, aside from Mahila clearly did something she didn't want her to do, but this feeling was foreign to her. Her eyes hardened as she stared into Mahila's, the older angel's unmoving and entirely composed air being something that annoyed and felt threatening to Shanira at the same time.
"You didn't," she hissed, fists balled. She didn't know what else to say, and she didn't want to believe it. And yet, it was exactly the kind of thing Mahila would have done, the goody-goody she was.

"And why should you be worried? That cohort of Solaris's is who's in trouble. Because remember, aside from your neglecting your king you've done no wrong. And this other, domain-less archangel you snuck off with--Mark Fri, wasn't that his name he said? Certainly he's done no wrong..." as Mahila spoke she ran her finger playfully over her bow, shrugging as she continued with a sweetness in her voice but her words barbed, "I was expecting the usual cocksure remark from you that you didn't care, or 'good for me' as you so put it considering it really isn't much of an issue that involves you much..."
Her icy blue eyes bore into Shanira's red ones as her grin widened.
"What are you worried about, young one? What are you hiding that's worth keeping it a secret from your own lord?"

"Quit playing your stupid games!" Shanira barked, raising her shaking fists and fighting with every inch of herself to not lunge at Mahila. She hated the way the woman worded things, the way she made it sound like she was almost on her side but then turned it around on Shanira to coax information out of her.
Mahila didn't know, she didn't know anything! Or did she?
'Dammit! I hate you!' with her thoughts ablaze with her frustration, Shanira tried to find a way to just answer Mahila's stupid questions as simply as possible. The less she said the less the woman could go on, right?
"I'm not hiding anything! You're just assuming!"

"Assuming what, my dear? I've noticed how irritable you've become at the mention of Felios but I've made no claims," Mahila shrugged again, "I'm concerned because this is unlike you. I ask because unless there's something else you're not telling me that perhaps I should have known before, there shouldn't be a problem.
Is there a problem, Shanira? Like how an archangel claims to be 'godless' but clearly uses light magic against me? The same man who obviously isn't one of our own?"
She brought her bow closer to her, gripping it tightly as her eyes narrowed at the girl.
"The one I could confidently assume is just another one of Solaris's kind and you're trying to protect him like the idiot you are."
