Description: Tall, with black hair cut short. He wears average clothes, a baseball cap and a short-sleeved jacket. Black tattoos run up both arms... lion's heads are visible in the pattern. The tattoo is mostly covered up by his sleeves. He also has neko ears and a tail, which he kept hidden while on Earth.

Personality: He's friendly on the surface but he's got a sadness that seems to come frm deep within, and on a bad day his blue eyes are haunted with something hard to name.He has few close friends. He's started to open up a bit to Nerezzan Captain Lana Princel. He's a bit shy and quiet compared to his twin, Kouji, and he dislikes battle, but he will fight for what he believes in.

Weapons: A naginata, usually with a cloth 'sheathe' over the blade or, on Earth, wrapped entirely in cloth so the true nature of the weapon isn't readily apparent.

Combat: Kouichi can hold his own in a fist-fight, but he's no warrior. Or is he? There's a lot of potential there. He's become very good with polearm weapons, such as his naginata. He will often transform in a fight to give himself the upper hand or the element of surprise, but he still fights with his own weapon.
Magic: Kouichi has a half-trained affinity with the element of darkness that he can use to power up his attacks and also allows him to see in the dark. He may also transform into a large, black-and-gold lion, but this wears him out after he changes back. It was an accident with this transformation ability that gave him his ears and tail.
Flaws: Kouichi dislikes fighting, so he'll often try to find a peaceful solution to a problem before fighting over it, unless a fight is inevitble. He will do anything to protect his brother, Kouji, and the object of his affections, Lana Princel. He stands out in a crowd because of his neko-ism.
History: Kouichi recently learned about the existence of his younger twin brother, when his grandmother died. He's got his own share of secrets, and feels obviously guilty about something from his past. He and his twin are very close now.
Kouichi has confided in Lana Princel that while adventuring in a world that was neither Allorum nor Earth, he lost his sense of self in a dark spirit and willingly fought against his brother and his brother's friends as the dark knight 'Dusk'. He still blames himself for the things he did back then, even though he was under the control of another.
Since returning to Earth, Kouichi has trained in fighting hand-to-hand and with polearms in order to become a more well-rounded combatant. He has also been working with Miri to learn magic the way the Guardians cast it - drawing directly from the soul and an element itself, rather than from the mana in the air, which allows them to cast magic in low-mana worlds like Earth; it has helped him focus his natural affinity for darkness and opened the way for him learning magic on Allorum. He's also been learning English.
