Sixty years ago, a balance shook between Ariadelvento and Tuono. Five years later, Tuono lost a terrible war to the sky kingdom.
During the war as the sky was lit in morbid beauty, many civilians fled both countries in order to save themselves and protect their loved ones. A small family from Tuono was part of the group to flee, but they were also part of a smaller, most unfortunate group to had been attacked as they were trying to escape. Enveloped in a windstorm and great flashes of light, the family of five was instantly reduced to two, all five bodies hitting the ground and the attackers from Ariadelvento took off without even inspecting the bodies.
The boy was the first to awake. Wounded, he checked for his siblings and parents - his older brother was dead, and so were his parents. Selina, his younger sister the age of seventeen, was barely alive though severely injured from head to toe. Knowing little about the healing arts, he did the best he could to care for her wounds before carrying her off and continuing the rest of the way without their family.
When Selina awoke, she was in a place very dark and cold. A cavern...a beautiful, beautiful cavern. Her older brother, Tobas, took them both to the deserted land of Ghiaccio to be rid of Tuono and Ariadelvento, to be rid of everything. Her head took horrible injuries, taking forever to heal and as time went on with the both of them trying to make a living in the wild wastelands of the ice continent, it was beginning to show that Selina may had taken more than just physical injuries to the head. In her dreams she saw things come at her, either to play or to kill, and watching lights and their movements seemed to affect her mood. As they swayed gently, like the aurora borealis they watched in Ghiaccio, she was calm and mesmerized by the fascinating show, watching the colours blend into each other.
When they moved sporadically, she reacted more than eccentrically. Her movements would become hyper, erratic, and often times terrifying as she let out a wicked laughter that shook the walls of the cavern and Tobas' heart. She was high-pitched, she was inconsistent with her actions...
She was sick. That was all there was to it. He wouldn't dare leave her, regardless of her odd behaviour. She found things funny that most people did not. She said things that she herself laughed at even though it did not sound like a joke.
She also delivered Tobas the idea that Ghiaccio, as it had been abandoned for years, could be theirs. They had both studied magic back in Tuono. Some was their typical lightning magic, some generic magic which they had continuously tried to improve. Also, it was known that deep within Ghiaccio somewhere was the last royal family's ice magic...it could be theirs if they could find it.
It was all planned. Tobas would be the mighty king, as he found the place to begin with. Selina would be the second-in-command.
Tobas developed a heart problem, and within the two years the both of them had started working on their project he passed away. For the first year if anyone passed the caverns in Ghiaccio, they'd hear a long, depressing (and scary) and drawn out wail echoing for miles away.
Afterward, Selina continued the project alone, developing her own "unique" fashion style and claiming herself as the queen of Ghiaccio.
And at some point, no one knows how but she managed to screw with something so she actually hasn't aged, even after fifty-something years.
Name: Selina (she honestly wouldn't remember her last name)
Age: Appears to be 20, the age she was when Tobas died.
Alignment: Sumata 13
Description: She wears an elaborate outfit consisting of a brown and fuzzy bikini top, a short skirt, and a really long and heavy white cape. Her hair itself is a white colour, and her eyes a very light blue. At times she will wear a mask she herself made, which is a very light blue that sparkles, and is sometimes adorned with feathers.
Personality: Unpredictable. She'll laugh when she shouldn't, she'll scream for the sake of screaming, and is fascinated with any sort of light. She usually moves in very smooth and deliberate ways, and as she sits she sways lightly from the left to the right, often looking trance-like. She is usually soft-spoken with a slight high pitch to her voice. As mentioned, if someone uses light magic in any way she'll react depending on the motion the light takes. If it is fast, she'll be jerky and will be all the more likely to scream, laugh, and wreak havoc.
She will not instantly label you an enemy, but more as a playmate. Generally if you react well to her, she'll like you and if you don't she won't like you.
If your clothing is brightly coloured and 'unique' to look at, you may excite her - then move on to the reactions where we'll determine whether she likes you or not.
Unless she knows you are not a friend of Trucido's. Then she'll just label you an enemy.
Equipment: A couple of her own spellbooks, usually she tries to read them upside down. The sad part is that when she is trying to read by not staring at the pictures, she actually can read the book upside down; she claims it is easier on her eyes.
Weapons: Her books? She'll throw them sometimes.
Magic: Just as she loves watching the lights, her magic usually consists of flailing lights itself. Sometimes these lights are coloured and she can blast beams through your body, other times she uses simple lightning magic.
At the moment she is trying to uncover ice magic and then she'll be able to use that.
Most times her 'lights' can change shape into whatever she wants, and she'll attack like that.
Um. Enough?
