I've been listening to music fan-arranged by this one Youtube singer, and one of her mixes inspired this drawing of Lana. I think this is one of my best pieces to date, and I used Photobucket's picture editor to shop lyrics from the song artfully onto it so it's even neater!
Lana is superimposed by a rose, symbolizing innocence and love - everything Lana gave up (or had taken from her) at a very young age, and is starting to find again, which is what the full song is about. The selection I chose seems especially fitting of middle-era Lana, when she's starting to grieve for the things which she has lost. The song encompasses the entirety of her journey, though - from old Lana, who did whatever she was told by her queen because she was loyal, never questioning, just fighting, to the middle Lana, starting to doubt, to new Lana who forges her own path toward love and freedom~
