Hello guys, So I just came back from Legion, and was so filled with a combination of disbelief and rage that for the good of all who have been lucky enough to not see it yet I felt I had to be the voice of experience to say, "Don't see this movie!" It was awful. Nothing about it was interesting, cool or even funny in a sort of, "It's so bad it's good" kind of way. For anyone that's seen Evil Dead or one of those movies, you know what I mean by that. Heck, it doesn't even have one of those, "But at least it was..." sort of excuses. You know, like for example, "Elektra sucked, but at least it had some cool fight scenes." or "Ninja Assassin had a terrible storyline and characters, but at least the ninjas in it were awesome!" So as a tie in to this rant on the terrible blight from Hollywood that is Legion, I'm curious to ask people what their most hated movie is. And when I say hated, I mean hated because it was an actually terrible movie, as opposed to saying Star Wars Episode 1 because it "ruined" the franchise or something like that. Mine right now is Legion. I honestly can't think of a worse movie I've ever seen. Hellraiser is a close second though.

The first Hulk movie that was made in the 2000's. That was awful!

Well in my days of Bad movies. Tremors. Any TREMORS MOVIE. Is just really laughably god awful. The only upside to it was: At least it was laughable.
But I sit there going: But I wasted hours of my life. AND. I think Im getting white hairs from the stress this movie caused me.
Sherlock holmes the movie however? My favorite. Even more than Avatar! *shunned*

I thought the Tremors movies were funny for how stupid the people in it were... I want to see Sherlock Holmes, but I doubt I will get the chance to anytime soon, and Avatar was mindblowing.
A movie I thought was crappy; Ghost Rider.. Horrible plot, ridiculous effects, and the fight scenes were so uninteresting that they weren't worth remembering.

....I liked Ghost Rider actually....
See, worst movie...to me I think it's Watchmen. Oh sure, it's unique with it's plot. But some of it was just....much for me, not my kinda movie. No offense to those who like it.

I will say that this conversation definitely turned enlightening. XD;
I loved Sherlock Holmes more than Pocahontas Avatar for one reason. It had a much better storyline/plot. Like. When you boiled Avatar down, it was what it was, for those of us who have seen it. Just...two forces. One is more powerful, uprising. End.
Sherlock Holmes. When people see that? There's Mysteries WITHIN the mystery. Things you wish you could Pause the movie and say: How the HELL did that happen? There HAS to be a logical explanation behind it! HAS TO!
But. Again. Being a man of Logic and Science due to my future job..its my kinda movie.
I admit, another horrible movie, was Pumpkinhead. Any of them. Those B slasher horror flicks. Are just terrible. Unless its Saw, cause I admit Saw I had Psychology behind it more so than any other slasher. Its the only reason I still watch them, for the continuous psychology, not so much the death.

Hmm, certainly a really varied response. Have to agree with most of those chosen as people's hated movie. Only exception would be Watchmen, and that's only... ONLY because I read the truly fantastic graphic novel first. The movie was poor on it's own merits, but as a sort of retelling of the comic it wasn't bad.
I also find it funny that I actually greatly preferred Avatar to Holmes. In my opinion it was an Robert Downey Jr. that carried that movie with his depiction of the more accurate portrayal of Sherlock Holmes' character from the novels. Otherwise, it was fairly predictable.
Avatar had stunning visuals and most importantly took it's time to create an entirely new world in every facet. Yes, it had a classic nature vs progress styled storyline (Ferngully, Pocahontas, Dancing with Wolves) but to me the movie was more about showcasing Pandora then having a "original" plot. Of course, I love myself some good science fiction and it was a long dry season before this and District 9 showed up, so I'm pretty biased.
And oh, speaking of the slasher genre in general, the new Halloween movie was equally terrible. Made no sense, and kept those lame cliches of characters that were barely acceptable 20 years ago.

Haha. Of course understandable. We have our quirks, and certainly none of these movies is DEFINITELY number 1, or dead last. And Jude Law you have to admit just made a good character for Watson Sans the Books identification. THAT was a hollywood decision that was a double edged sword.
However, I suppose you're right about Avatar. TO be honest, The only reason I liked Avatar? It reminded me of Starcraft. Aha.
*crickets chirp*

TEEEEHEEEHEEEHEEEHEEEHEEEEEEEE! @ Andy
I never watched the Watchmen movie myself, but I could take a wild, wild guess as to some point in the movie that I DO know about that was "too much" for you. *pets*
Avatar was beautiful to see, and where they obviously spent time creating that environment and wowing everyone I do say that they really should have also put in some more effort into their original plot--you shouldn't cut corners, things work hand-in-hand you know!
^^ I liked Sherlock Holmes. He was pretty epic in many ways hahaa.

@ Jas- ....yeah you would think so wouldn't you.
@ Seig- I never read the Watchmen comic, maybe if I have my opinion would change? I will grant Watchmen for having it's plot of "the villain" actually doing something for the great good of the world. That was it's unique aspect.
...I have never seen Avatar or Sherlock, I haven't had time for movies and whatnot. But I am *hoping* Miri and I can go see the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time movie.

@andy: It's always hard to tell because we're dealing with text and everything, but that came across to me as very bitter =/ Did I do something bad?

Um...no. It's not angry or anything.
More like smacking my own head and sighing. The usual.

Ohohohoho
Avatar was a true spectacle to behold! Especially in 3D, although considering they spent a decade creating it I do think it could be a wee bit better so here hoping for No 2! Sherlock Holmes I'm not really going to comment on as I have not seen it but it has Robert Downey Jr so it officially has to be good!
As for my own opinion I think the worst film I have ever seen has to be that 'Knowing' which had Nicholas Cage in it, yes it had a brilliant plot and Nicholas was a bloody BRILLIANT actor in it, but the ending was so so poor I actually had to commit to never watching even an advertisement for that film ever again.
and let me give you a little thing to show my anticipation for the POP movie
average anticipation for a movie = 75%-100%
My anticipation for Prince Of Persia= 145006%-2000000000000000%

Avatar was beyond amazing. I wanna be a Na'vi. Watchmen is amazing. PoP should be really good...i hope.
If you ever want to see the worst movie in existence. watch "The Room". You know how some bad movies are good for a chuckle or two? This movie is not one of them. Its soooooo bad, that it isnt funny. the plot, the acting, the sets, are all awful. Ive seen high school musicals better than this movie.
