An Impasto Still life



AND, A work in progress for my painting final. The Prof actually agreed to let me paint one of my characters. She didn't really like the ideas I threw out there to begin with, so she asked what kinds of things I NORMALLY paint, so... I told her, not really expecting her to like the idea, but instead she was like "Now theres something Original! Go for it! U_U" So I'm like "Whoa... really? "

So here is a Kaku for your viewing pleasure.... Well Okay the underpainting is 20% done. >_> But yeah.

lol everyone here is an artist ^^ We all just have different strengths and weaknesses. Mine:

Strengths - conté still life/life drawing, watercolours.
Fairly well - brush/ink drawing, brush/ink cartoons, acrylics I think have finally gotten here haha, painting acrylic flowers
Weaknesses - pencil/graphite drawings, especially flowers and animals, designing borders/logos/emblems, etc.
Just learning - oil paints, oil/chalk pastels, and I consider my 3D sculpture stuff to be in a "just learning" state

Morghie, your prof sounds friggen' awesome. A lot of the art profs in our university are apparently very...stuck-up >>; Then again, it's the "fine arts" program so only what is considered "fine art" is apparently art to a lot of them.
Your prof is very open-minded ^^ HUZZAH.

Here to start with is your own creation, which is more than proof enough that you've got a way with CG, which is art itself =p And anything that has been posted in this entire "art board" is art, 'cause if it wasn't it wouldn't be posted here now would it?

@ Jess- She is really cool. :3 I mean YEAH she does the occasional thing that annoys me....but She is the first prof who didn't have a problem with my anthropomophic paintings, so she has earned a banana sticker!
