Name: Ishtar Darkmoon
Description: Ishtar's kind is very similar to the Allorum's angels (considering they are long descended from them, as some of the angels first inhabited his universe), minus the immortal part. He dresses in dark armor with wings decorating half of it. He has raven black hair and grey eyes, and his skin is paler than others, kind of like an albino of his kind. He has six wings with dark-blue feathers coming out of his back. Ishtar stands 8 feet tall.
Age:276 (Even though they don't have immortality, his kind still live for about a couple thousand years.)
Personality: Ishtar is very serious and gloomy. His face has no creases from smiling because, to be honest, he has never smiled in his life... it doesn't mean he isn't capable though, nor does it mean he has a cold heart. Ishtar will save anyone in need of help. He will also stand up to any evil, no matter what.
Side: Good
Occupation: Knight
Equipment: The only thing he has is the clothes on his back, and his 'cursed' sword (more of that in Weapons).
Weapons: Ishtar has one of the most of the holiest swords ever made in his universe. His sword's name is Seran, which is of the oldest of ancient dialects ever spoken in his universe. The translation means Newborn Star (it is actually from this site, www.rialian.com/elven-language.htm ). His kind think it is cursed because nearly every one of his kind in his universe is evil.
Combat: From many, many years (80, to be exact) of sword training, Ishtar is a very skilled and agile, not to mention deadly, knight.
Magic: Like all his kind, Ishtar has a strong well of magic within his body. The only problem is that it gives off dark magic. It is not enough to corrupt him if he leaves it alone, but tapping into the well, darkness starts to take over his body, so he doesn't use it.
History: To start off, Ishtar's kind are angelic-like beings, but with one flaw, they are evil. They have a deep well of magic inside of them that gives them a lot of energy, so they don't need any nourishment for their body what so ever (they still have to sleep, however). The other kind that share their universe with them is humans, a now dying race.
Ishtar was born into the Darkmoon family, a family that serves one of the Seven Kings of Darkness. He was always picked on because he was different from the rest of his kind, he had very pale skin. From the moment he turned 20, he was put into a school of knighthood and was trained vigorously for 80 years, standard training for a protector of a King of Darkness.
He was also born into a war that had lasted for about a thousand years. The war was against the humans and his kind. He stood by the King of Darkness he was made to protect, watching the king slay hundreds of humans. Ishtar was also different from his people because he didn't want to harm any of the humans. Not being able to stand his king from killing anymore humans, he drew his blood sword (standard protector blade) and slew his king.
He then fled, because no one had ever slain one of the Seven Kings of Darkness, and his kind would surly come after him. He wandered for many years, avoiding any contact from life because of what he had done. One day he found himself at the edge of the world, (yes, his world is flat...-ish) and since he was an outcast forever, he threw himself off of the edge and into the mist of the Endless Pit. He didn't, however, die as he had hoped. He had hit a ledge jutting out just from under the mist. There he had found Seran, and he finally figured out his destiny.
He traveled back to civilization, or more accurately, to human civilization. A prophecy of a dark angel wielding a holy sword able to turn the tide of the war had been passed down throughout the war. The humans begged for his help, and he agreed. The tide of war was indeed changed as Ishtar battled against his own kind for peace. One battle would change his life forever, The Battle of The Crescent Ruins, ruins of the ancient race that made the Seran. Every human were slaughtered. Ishtar himself was surrounded by his own kind, battling for his life, when he was suddenly pulled out of his own universe and into the Great Void, a void that separates all of the universes (and if anyone is familiar with the Magic: The Gathering card game and/or books, I got this idea from the plain walkers).
He watched as the sword shot an arc of pure blue light at the dark smudge in the Great Void he realized as his universe, making a bubble of blue light around it, forever sealing it from the other universes. Saddened by the loss of his home, Ishtar decided to travel the Great Void, searching for a new place to call home. He found Allorum and Earth overlapping in the Great Void. He sensed others that felt very similar to his kind in Allorum, and decided to go check it out. He has only entered the universe.
Oh, and if anyone is wondering, I have other characters here. Zee, Tempest and Van.
