HEY, GUYZ. I know I'm obviously online right now and doing all sorts of CRRRAAAAAZZYYYY things, but that's because I actually hauled my butt with my laptop over to the university to bum wireless internet. I don't know what's the deal in our home, but this morning I woke up to a pitch black basement (as my bedroom is in the basement), and I was only lucky to not be late for work because my alarm clock has a backup battery. Sadly, our internet box/deal is connected to a plug-in in our basement, as well as other essential internet-connecting cords which can only be reached in the basement. I know this still doesn't make sense, and after I tell you this, it WON'T make any more sense: Um...it's only the basement which lost power. No, it's not the breaker, THEY'RE ALL ON. The house's old owners have mentioned an on-going electrical problem but this is the first time we've encountered it. Everything was working this afternoon, of course, until my genius father decided to play with the breaker box and suddenly everything is gone again. He's going to go back and see what he can do, but until then...um... Yeah. I'll be trying to get online whenever possible, even if I have to travel from my home Hopefully this will not be long. Just so you all know what's going on and aren't like, "OH MY GOD WHERE'S JESS?!?" - Jess (aka Jasmine and Lana)

xD Me too, and if not, then I'm going to lose a LOT of weight as I've said I'm going back and forth to the university to bum internet~
But my boyfriend and I are moving a couple of blocks away from the uni in about a month or so anyway, so we shouldn't have power problems there >>; Until then, the power here decides when it's going to work.
Also, just an update: ^^;;; It appears that the heat is also taking random vacations. And my power problem has extended to not just the entire basement, but two of the bedrooms upstairs AND the kitchen stove. Why specifically the stove and not the refridgerator/microwave/everything else in that kitchen, we don't know.

I feel bad for you, and I have no idea what could possibly be wrong with your house. seems haunted to me.
I am posting in here for different reasons as well, MY internet is not working right now either, nor is it working for any of my roommates. Its been like this for a day now, and I am posting via the guest internet which has too many restrictions for me to want to use. seeing as how all campus internet seems to be down, I don't expect it to be gone for long, so once again, I say that I am sorry (Jess?) and I hope your conditions improve.
actually mine seems to be slow but better now.

K, I'm gonna try to explain this as simple as I possibly can:
We lived in a house that was built in 1912 (a piece of junk with no heating/water, remember, and infested with mice that my cat delightfully caught night after night) and have lived there for the past 8 years. This past November, we moved into a house that was built in the 50's and are currently there. My mother kept the 1912, though, so we have "two" houses. We are tearing apart the 1912 and rebuilding it, and then while the family is going to move back into the 1912 at the beginning of April, my boyfriend and I are moving into an apartment of our own at the same time XD
Lots of that info was unnecessary, of course, but whatevs. ANYWAY. What was I going to say is that even after living in the 1912 for so long, I'm most convinced that THAT house was haunted D: There would be A PERSON STANDING IN MY BEDROOM WATCHING ME AT NIGHT AS I SLEPT. I woke up numerous times and there was this shadow of a person right by me bed! That same shadow crept into my mother's room and sat on her bed. I couldn't sleep well most nights, and we'd hear voices sometimes =/ And I couldn't walk in it without feeling like someone was with me at all times and that I was being watched. Even after 8 years, it was constant.
However, we've been living here and suddenly I can sleep at night and I'm not afraid to be alone here. I don't see or hear strange things, it's quite nice. *shrug* Iunno.
Hope your internet stops crapping out on you--mine doesn't seem to be working too badly here at my place now, which is odd.
BTW LOL YES, I'M JESS. And everyone may call me Jess. "HEY YOU!" also works.
