OK, Volkmar here. Here are my rules...
1.) This is a Fantasy RPforum. Usually anything goes and don't be afraid to try something new--if there's a problem, an admin will point it out because that's what they're here for.
2. Character limit: None as of yet. Keep it reasonable, and try not to make more people then you can RP.
3. We're in a fantasy RP, something medieval-ish...most weapons are alright, though we do accept guns now and then. Unless they are from Earth (Even then, please don't have them a lot), please do not have assault weapons, or 21st weapons.
4.) Keep the OOC Drama to a minimum, for the love of sanity. If you have a problem with a player, PM ONE OF THE ADMINS. Don't bring it publicly to the boards. This also applies to if you have a problem with the way the game is run in general. Please. You'll save everyone a ton of hell, especially yourself.
5.) For the last time, quit asking us for Jolly Ranchers. They are all gone. Sorry. Now that is out of the way, please try to RP with different people. Good way to meet new people, but also respect the other Rpers.
6.) No God-modding. That should be fairly straight-forward, though.
God-modding = writing in/controlling another character's words or actions without first discussing it with the player of that character. Srsly, you'll piss people off if you do this. DON'T DO IT.
7) Any questions, do not be afraid to ask the admins
8) This is a PG-13 RP site, do not get too graphic in anything that is violent/sexual.
9) Please do not cuss your head off. There are some young rpers here. If your character needs to swear that f***ing much use some f***ing asterisks. You may use a swear once in a while, but don't use it unless there it is to make the scenario more dramatic.
10) Fantasy beings;(Hob)goblins, Orks, Jasmine Loque, Fairies, are beasts. Anything else, ask the admins, and we will place it on the list, if we accept.
11) Please use English! Not everyone is bilingual. If you are using another language in your post, please put a translation of the words at the bottom so that the people that are reading it can understand. P.S. no Txt language in the RP section; OoC section is fine.
12) Unless the thread says open, ask the person that started the thread to see if you can join.
13) Any thread on Earth, please state what city/ country you are using.
14) Something that involves something more than just your characters, or would affect the site massively, YOU MUST PM MIKE OR I. This includes large groups of NPCs, something massive that is happening to a kingdom, theology, characters, taken positions, etc. If basically it will affect other RPers, then PM us for approval. We are generally flexible, but if it’s something that is too cataclysmic, too ridiculous, or would cause a problem, then we can work it out so that both parties are happy. If you want it to be a secret from other RPers, then we won’t tell the other players, just state it in your PM. It is easier for you to contact us, than us contacting you.
15.) Keep avatar sizes pretty reasonable (ideally no bigger than 150x150 pixels but as long as they're not destroying the site format...) and images in the signatures can be no bigger than 500x200 pixels in size. Anyone who posts with bigger will be asked to change their sig or make it smaller.
If you have troubles creating your own sig, PM Jess and she'll make you one with minimal gnawing on your shoulders. She does that sometimes.
16.) MOST IMPORTANT RULE! HAVE FUN! This site is made to have fun, and that is how it's suppose to be.
