New Layout?!?!?!

Uh... D| So I see we have a new layout for the homepage.... and if I may be so bold as to say- I think it...clashes a little to say the least. Well the color scheme anyway.

I mean, it goes back to the old layout when I log in, but when I first clicked onto CR today, I literally flinched at my laptop. ;;

I'm probably going to be hated for posting this... but I suggest a bit of tweaking so that the color scheme fits nicely! Right now It's so RANDOM and it doesn't look like there's much of a color scheme going on. It would be nice to have a nice flow with the new layout. It COULD look pretty methinks owo

I do not mean to offend, and I offer my humblest apologies if what i'm writing seems harsh. It's just... I'm in School for Visual Arts and clashing colors bother me. XD;;

I don't know. Am I just being anal here? What do you guys think?

Not to sound negative, but I have to agree with Morghie on this one. I do like that a logo has been added to the site, but I find it rather unappealing to be looking at a page that is mostly white with flecks of red visible on the Map of Allorum, that's being used as the back drop for the home page, and the few blue bits of text that are encircled by green lines.

Much like Morghie, I'm not trying to offend anyones sensibilities, but the previous home page looked quite a bit better. I'm not pointing fingers and trying to hurt feelings here, this is just my take on things. It's an opinion, and I just hope that people take it at face value and don't start assuming things about me because I decided to speak out about this one thing.

If I had to offer one suggestion as to change the home page for the better, so it doesn't sound like I'm just complaining, then replace the backdrop with something a bit more stylized, instead of a map, and base the colour scheme for the rest of the homepage off the colours of the backdrop.

Once again, I'm not trying to be the mean guy here, just stating my opinion for the purpose of getting it out there.

Hey guys, have to admit I'm on the same boat with Dios and Morgie here, and I'm the one that made the map in the first place. Logo is great looking, but I personally really liked the default color scheme we had not too long ago. The purples were a good match, and made everything look smooth.

I don't know if anyone complained about it being the same for too long, or if someone didn't like it because otherwise I say why try and fix what isn't broken? Besides, we have all of the other variant skins for the site, so if we want to we could hold a poll and find which people would like to be our new background out of those that already exist.

That's just my opinion. Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I feel I should be totally honest.

Ok yes, I am not good with making skins. I am not really good with art and I wanted to make this, for the logo contest. I am going change it back to the Twilight setting, but I am going to work on it. I promised a prize, and the prize shall be produced! Seriously, thanks for telling me.

And you know, I think Zeke had a good idea there with the Poll! If you really did want a new layout, we should have a vote. Then with that, I'm sure theres a way to incorporate Jess's Logo for the contest. I've lost my touch when it comes to CSS or HTML, (I'm assuming that's how changes are made here.... correct me if I'm wrong! )
