I got on my duff this morning and actually drew some things ; Well, AFTER I further inked that Mark vs. Trucido drawing I did awhile ago:
I managed to mask a lot of the ugly that showed up in it before, thankfully |D It's not the greatest thing I've done, it's been awhile since I've tried to do a thorough inking job. Not only am I a wee bit out of practice but I also re-learned why I preach against using Copic multiliner pens to ink your work.
I don't have a huge issue with them, and no one will really see it as it didn't show up really well in the scan, but the lines I added on the sword actually on the original work look absolutely horrific. After I put the second line in there and saw how continuously "spongey" they were coming out I said screw it, stopped caring, and quickly threw in the rest (which looked even uglier) and then threw funny lines on Mark's pants.
SO. In the end it came out decently enough ; My sister is still working on the coloured one which is looking freaking AMAZING for a WIP btw.
And now on to my project from today. I'm sitting here supposed to be planning out mine and Johnathan's wedding and instead I got distracted (as I usually do) and drew Vincent and Hala's wedding instead! |D
Hala looking rather gorgeous. I did this after I woke up a little and got used to handling the pens again so it came out looking MUCH better than my previous inking job above. LOL I forgot to draw in the bottom of her belt/sash thing and I AM having an issue with the back of her skirt with the enormously thick line =/ I had screwed up and instead of just leaving it I had to be an idiot and try to fix it as I usually do.
My success rate is something like...60%? XDD; ARGH. It'd be easier if I had the proper correction ink which I don't. Bahhhhhh.
W/e. I'll eventually learn from my mistakes.
Vincent and Hala~ And before you ask, crocodiles ate out their eyeballs I refused to draw the eyes. It'd seriously make the drawing look crappy--the original work is this tiny 5cmx7cm drawing in the corner of my sketchbook. When I start drawing that small I don't even bother with some of those stupid details because it clutters and looks awful.
I usually draw much bigger. It's comfortable for me.
Oh Vincent, you look like a dork.
Cue glass-clanging. I am happy with how Vincent's cape came out. It actually, you know, looks like a cape unlike most times I draw it *dunce*.
Annabelle twenty years younger *GASP* giving Hala a pep talk and marriage advice.
Annabelle: Now, when he unhooks your bra--
Hala: M-MAMA! CAN WE DO THIS LATER, PLEASE?!
So now that I've established that I am in fact the greatest loser in history, time to go find something else to distract me from wedding planning |D HAVE FUN, EVERYONE.
