Art skeletons, that is. I've been in a very doodle-y mood so I've been sketching out Jasmine in her many ensembles.
We've all seen the cute purple robe she wears but har har har, we don't know what she looks like under that thing =p And as it so happens, she's gone under training with her grandmother and being released into the world to study, practice, and become a master of either the dark or holy (or even a mixture of both) arts - as she excels in her training her wardrobe changes to signify it.
...Because I said so.
Here is our cute lil' mage thing we know her as now. You will notice without her robe she has no sleeves. She is very self-conscious of this and it bothers her, so she clings to her robe very much.
You will also notice the funny charm bracelet thing--I drew a semi-close up of it to put an end to the confusion of "what the hell is that on her wrist?" - it is her prayer thingy, Annabelle also has one just as Hala did. They believe they can build up spiritual energy with them and that the Twilight Gods will forever protect them if they wear it on their left wrist.
...and it has yet to be proven. Just shut up and let them have their beliefs.
This is how Jasmine will look in the next arc, in her second stage of Twilight Mage-ness as I will be graduating her because I can with the help of convenient plot holes. She has a set of spells (that I have yet to write out) in which the first half are learned in her first level.
In this second level she learns the final half. Easy, I guess. That second image there shows the side - as you can tell by my lack of detail my focus here is the clothing.
Those of you giving me funny looks, Annabelle had to go through all of this too so it's not just me deciding to give Jas a constant makeover.
Third level, which is the stage that Annabelle is at right now ; Methinks she will be graduating to the 4th either just before this arc is over or sometime before/at the beginning of the next arc.
In third stage, the mage re-learns their first half of the spell list and masters them--to move to the 4th level they must be able to complete the first half of the spell list without needing the incantation (aka, all of them must become "at will" spells).
Oh god this is so funny drawing Jasmine steadily older...
Yay generic poses - 4th level is a very elaborate outfit (and this is before the robe is worn overtop). This level is where the mage re-learns the second half of their spell list and masters it.
To become a "Master" of the arts they chose to follow, they must have their entire spell list down as "at wills".
Usually, if a mage chooses the more holy path upon graduation of the 4th level their robe becomes a white colour and they learn an incredible white magic spell (one that is impossible to become an at will).
One who chooses the darker path will have a black robe and learn a very powerful black magic spell instead. (again, impossible to master)
One who keeps a perfect balance of holy/dark will stay with the funny purple robe and be granted a spell that accommodates that as well (can't master).
Now with the dorky explanations out of the way...
This is me trying to master braids lol. Dammit Jasmine.
And this was a 5-minute (or less) drawing where I was showing Johnathan how I draw out my skeletal structure for my cartoons and blahblahblah.
And this is my taking a very unofficial swing at drawing Andy and Jasmine in the next arc. Look at how smug they are, the show-offs.
Andy, you still look like a troll. D: Mike, why'd you give him Impossible Hair Syndrome?
UMMM...YEAH. GET OUT OF MY HOUSE.
