Gletscher Range. One of the many places where the locals of Ghiaccio warn their children to never go there, unless it was their death wish. Some parents even told their children that monsters lived there and if they ever got close enough, the monsters would gobble them up.
Even though multiple scientists proved the parents wrong.
Still, many children were frightened by the warnings and stories of how many people die because of cracks in the ice and they stayed as far away from the glaciers that touched the heavens above, however, that didn’t stop the thrill seekers, who usually go there every week for extreme free-hand climbing, exited to go, but they usually regret it when they slip on the ice and break their leg.
Only the dumb, but ‘brave’ approach the glaciers, but they all come back with bruises and broken bones.
Except one.
I know what you’re thinking “What? How can they journey to such a place and not get injured at all? Is this person a god?”
No, no she isn’t.
She’s just more careful then others, that’s all.
She isn’t a thrill-seeker, she’s just a girl who loves the cool air brushing against her skin, that’s all.
It was around noon time when she left her small cottage, many clouds were hiding the sun, which was nice, but it made it hard for her to make out anything in her path. She constantly glanced over her shoulder, every now and then until she reached her destination, she eyed the giant pieces of ice as she removed her heavy coat, revealing a white dress, detailed with snowflakes and white roses. She took a deep sigh before approaching the glacier facing her and slowly walked towards it, the cold wind constantly sweeping her hair in front of her face.
Thump…thump…thump…
The woman was only arms length away from the glacier when she heard the sounds, she paused for a moment and spun around, her eyes darting across the scene to see if she could find whatever was making those noises.
“Hello?” she called out “Is anyone there?”
