((Yeligar/Vincent))
Vincent had taken cover, running along whatever local shrubbery there was in the Chalybs. He kept his weapon out and by his side as he approached the entrance to the Metal Mines, keeping a close eye (as he only really had one) out for the Sumata soldiers guarding the place.
Crouching low to the ground yet, Vincent wiggled his fingers, motioning Yeligar to come close as it was safe where they were positioned at the moment.
"So far I've only seen four of them, sir. But I bet you anything they've got men all over inside just waiting for people like us to go in there and raid them. What do you think?"

Yeligar got closer to Vincet, and he looked. "I think that you are right... is their anyway to gas them out?" He asked Vincent. "If we do that, then we could take the guards out in one swing."

Vincent gave another scan over the area before he gave a smug smile to Yeligar.
"I don't know, sir. I think after that bowl of chili you ate you could probably gas out the entire cave and the town close by it," he answered with a chuckle, "but in all honesty, I don't have anything of the sort that could even smoke the guys outta there. I'd say we should go at this one step at a time, even if we manage to flush 'em all out there's still way so many of them to the two of us, and the fellas in the Chalybs aren't as weak and easy to push around as ones you'd find in Alberisato or something."

"... What about steaming them out?" Yeligar asked as he press the blue and red blade in the lance. "If make them think that there are more than us, we could scare them. A little smoke and mirror tactic that we did back in the day."

Vincent blinked and scratched his head. He'd known Yeligar for years and respected the man greatly, being that he worked under the man for god knows how long.
But somehow he couldn't help but shake the feeling that perhaps Yeligar was getting a little...'old' for this. Which was sad because he recalled the man being around the same age as him. Vincent knew he sure as hell wasn't too old for this yet!
"Uh...sir, that's a great plan and all, but I foresee only a few problems with it. The first being us creating a relaxing sauna for these fools, the second being that steam can only be so thick but still not nearly thick enough to blind someone," Vincent started as he glanced back at the mines, "and thirdly, these are metal mines, sir. Steam is hot. How are we going to be able to steal anything if it's too hot to touch?"
Vincent's eye twitched as he saw one of the guards out front move off to the side. He pulled a dagger out of his belt and grinned.
"I think I'm going to go take out our guards one by one, starting with him. If anything, they'll find their third guard missing to be a distraction, especially if they find trails of his equipment leading off of the path--once the front guys are taken down, we need only worry about who's inside, right? And we have more cover room in there."
He smiled at Yeligar as he added, "but don't let me spoil your fun. Just letting you know my plan."

Yeligar looked and said "Go, I will cover you." He said as he place the lance like as a cannon on the rocks, aiming it. "I will make sure that if they gang up, I will shoot them." He pulled out the red and blue blades, and pressed the green one in.

"Really?" Vincent had responded, not really expecting Yeligar to actually agree with this. He didn't let his surprise linger for too long as he readied himself and nodded with a smile to Yeligar, inching closer as he stalked the lone, foolish guard off to the side. As the man neared the shrubbery, Vincent lashed out with cat-like reflexes, pulling the man down and driving the dagger without hesitation into the man's chest. The first guard fell lifeless quickly and Vincent took the time to pull things like the man's canteen, gloves, and god forbid his smelly boots and throw them in a nice trail heading towards the next grouping of shrubs where he waited anxiously to attack.
He kept himself silent as he held up three fingers to Yeligar--only three more to go.

Yeligar saw the hand, and he followed Vincent. His lance pointing in front of Vincent, but made sure no one was coming from behind him.

Vincent grinned just as he saw one of the guards cautiously look over and spot the man's canteen. The guard mumbled something about the 'clumsy fool' and went to pick it up, pausing as he noticed one of the gloves. Grumbling yet the man stepped forward again and just as he bent to pick up the next item Vincent attacked again, taking down the second man.
In a matter of minutes he slunk to the ground and moved silently to stalk the other two, both growing confused--he took them out as quickly as he could to ensure neither would raise an alarm. The last thing they needed was to be caught in the Chalybs that is.
Vincent rounded upon the entrance way into the metal mines and hugged one of the walls around the mountainous entrance, giving a cheesy grin and a thumbs up to Yeligar once he was sure the area was clear.

Yeligar picked up the lance and he ran over to Vincent. He looked at him, and said "Now, let us borrow some metal." He said as he walked towards the mouth of the mine. "Be prepared, There should be guards in here, so we need to hide in the dark. "

Vincent chuckled and nodded to Yeligar.
"You make it sound like hiding in the dark is a bad thing. Are you scared of the dark, sir?" Vincent's voice, however quiet was still a lightly joking one. He positioned himself against the wall and peered inside, noting the gleaming of a couple of weapons already inside. It was hard to tell what kind of weapons they were (this would have been where his second eye would have come in handy), but at least they had the knowledge of someone being present right away.
"We can't startle them too much, I think. If we do, we'll have the entire army in there after us and they may have traps and tricks that'll collapse the mine on us...or am I thinking too hard into this, sir?" Vincent raised an eyebrow, "there's at least a fella or two only something like twenty feet away. Your call, here."

Yeligar rolled his eye at his comment on the dark. "Well, on Earth, they have a device to move the wind without using your hand. I think I have the concept down for it. You will need to stand back." He said, as he pressed the green blade in. He placed both hands on the lance, and the wind started to swirl the lance. The four other blades started to spin, to gather more wind. He pointed it into the mine, and then there was a sonic boom. He dove out of the way, when soldier's screams started to get louder and louder, and then they shot out like a cannon, along with some debris. " What traps did you have in mind?" He asked Vincent

Vincent did as Yeligar said, staying clear away from the mine entrance and he blinked confusedly as the incredible burst of wind exploded out men, dirt and all hell everywhere.
"Uh..." Vincent started as he took a quick glance into the mine, the first few yards he'd originally worried about no longer a problem, "if there's anyone in there yet, we'd best be careful is all I'm saying. I don't know about you, but I'm sure an explosive or two could easily trap us in this thing and quite personally, I hate this country."
Vincent put away the dagger he'd pulled out earlier and replaced it with his sword. He looked back to Yeligar and grinned.
"Shall we?"

"Yes, let us." He said as he pulled out the green blade and head inside the cave.

Both men snuck into the cave and Vincent gave a quick look around, hugging close to whatever walls there were to conceal them, as well as the carts in the mine.
"The deposits are all down that long tunnelway, right? I thought I saw on your map us having to take a turn to the right at some point and search for a hole that took us further underground," Vincent wanted to clarify he knew where they had to go. He tried to keep an eye out for more soldiers along the way.
