Vincent's ship charged full speed ahead, first heading directly for Xisa's ship.
"Pull it over, we need to grapple it," Vincent commanded and the ship turned, coming surprisingly sharply for a vessel as large as it was. As it came closer, the men readied themselves to throw the grappling hook out at the enemy ship. His eyes narrowed as he saw cages fall into the water. One appeared to be empty, the other one...
'Jasmine!' he easily recognized the blonde-haired girl. He snapped his fingers and ran down the edge of the ship, looking to see how many of Xisa's men were on board.
"Come on, hurry! He's going to kill one of them!"

Jasmine shrieked as the cage she stood in crashed into the water. She gasped sharply just before she was entirely submerged, taking in an extra breath. The water was so cold, and she tugged at the bars to try to find a way out of the cage. She didn't know any spells that would blast the door open like her grandmother, that was for sure.
She pulled out her knife from her bag, poking at the lock. It couldn't get in there, but what else did she have? Jasmine gripped the bars tighter and shook them--what was she supposed to do?!

Annabelle couldn't stop the cage from being dropped into the water, but she did fire off another exploding ball of fire at the soldiers who came after her. Her attention then went to Xisa as she powered up another spell.
"I think you better find a way to get my granddaughter back up here, and quick," she threatened, her hand sparking with a red glow again.

"Why don't I make you join her?" He asked as he stuck out his arm. "Dragon of the moonless night, attack." A slender, jet black, dragon came out of his arm, and came darting at her, with the mouth open.

Vincent rushed in, slashing fiercely at the dragon that lunged itself at Annabelle. With the ships connected, the others on Vincent's ship ran forth with their weapons pulled, attacking everyone that got in their way.
"Lady, I need you to--A-Annabelle?!" Vincent yelled out at the older woman, a little startled. The last person he expected to see with Jasmine was Annabelle Fraus. When was the last time he'd seen her?
No time for that. He took the liberty to attack multiple times at Xisa with strong, fiery strokes.

Xïsa hopped down, missing most of the strokes. He picked up his sword, and said "Hello, Vincent Loque. We meet again."

"I'm just fine on my own!" Annabelle snapped angrily at Vincent, recognizing him immediately herself. She pointed overboard.
"I can look after him, you need to worry about the girl!"
Annabelle clapped her hands together, a blue aura forming around her and transforming her appearance slightly. She held her hands out and in them came two ethereal blades which she placed her hands firmly around. She didn't have her staff so this would have to do...
She shot herself towards Xisa with incredible speed, slashing at him now herself.

Vincent's eyes widened as Annabelle zipped past, nearly knocking him over.
"Crazy bat..." he muttered as he looked off in the direction Annabelle had pointed in, "Xisa Tyrant, would you mind telling me why I shouldn't kick your ass for harrassing my daughter again?!"
He threw another couple of attacks at soldiers that came his way, ducking past a few of the swings thrown at him as he bolted for the edge of the ship. He had to hurry if he wanted Jasmine to live, afterall.

Yes, Jasmine was still alive...just wasn't very good at holding her breath. Despite living by a lake her whole life, she hadn't had a lot of experience swimming or conserving air. She tugged more viciously at the bars on the cage, trying her knife again and jabbing it as hard as she could into the lock. She exhaled, having no other choice but to take water in, clinging to the bars for dear life.

Xïsa was caught unguarded, and was hit a dozen time. "Fast for an elderly lady." He said as he looked at the moon. "But can you beat this?" He started to hover, and then there was a blue expulsion. His eyes were solid yellow, and his hair was in a mess. His sword looked more viscous, and the explosion revealed his muscular chest, since Annabelle cut up his robe. The X scar was also more jagged. "...NO EXIT!" He roared, and he stated to attack the area around him.

Vincent ran even faster, leaping and throwing himself off of the ship and into the water. He was sure Annabelle would be fine to deal with Xisa on her own, even if he was now a...hideous beast of sorts. Even moreso than usual. She had to be fine, Vincent had to find Jasmine.
It was dark in the water, and the cage must have been heavy enough if Vincent didn't see it right away. He swam faster, going deeper until he saw the outline of the cage and the faint glow of a little...gem in the water?
The charm on her wrist. It was the same as her mother had had, glowing at odd times. Hala had told him it did so when she either prayed an enormous amount, or when she needed to use the prayer power she'd put into it to help her or someone else. Vincent pushed on and grabbed ahold of the cage, pulling his sword back and taking a mighty swing at the lock. He tried to throw a bit of magic into the swing, but sadly fire didn't work too well in water...
He hacked at the lock a few more times. It bent thinly, he sheathed his sword and firmly grabbed the door, prying it open with a strong pull. His arms reached in and grabbed the Loque girl and swam with her back to the surface. He'd think if Annabelle was nearly as great as she thought she was that she'd have the situation under control already...

Everything blurred on Jasmine's end, but she was able to make out the faint shape of what was her father pulling the cage apart, his strong arms wrapped around her and pulling her out. She put her arms around him, too and hung on as tightly as she could before an odd sleep seemed to overcome her.

Annabelle stared up at Xisa, not in the least worried. And if she was, she definitely didn't show it.
"Ha," she said as Xisa started attacking, "I'm not afraid of a cuddly bear!" Still joined with the spirit in her, Annabelle leaped, dodging the attacks Xisa delivered and rolled herself around to try slashing at his back.

Xïsa was hit, but he did not care, or seems to care. He grabbed her arm and swung her over him. He then swung his sword down at her, while saying "ALL SHALL BE LOST TO YOU!"

Annabelle winced as she was hurled over the large beast. She hit the ground in front of him and rolled, crying out, "Banshen!"
This spell threw a burst of light upwards and around her, providing a wall-like shield that deflected Xisa's attack. The old woman struggled to get to her feet, powering up her fireball spell again and readied herself to attack the moment her shield died down.
