Seigmand laughed into his mug. "Fighting as an option... can't remember the last time that was anything but a certainty for me. Seems like all I've done in this world is fight. Fight to get where I am. Fight to stay where I am. Fight to keep people away. Fight to keep others close by." He sighed, his breath as thick with contemplation as it was with booze.
"Just because you refuse to pick up a sword and lop a guy's head off, doesn't mean you aren't fighting Kaku. Battles take place in a lot of different ways in a lot of different places, and most times your life can be the least important thing at stake in them." He slumped a little over the counter, his one hand hanging onto the glass. His eyes glazed over for a spell, keeping himself silent as he looked to be lost in thought. At last he turned to Kaku with a questioning look over his face.
"I, uh seem to have forgotten what I was getting at." Seigmand looked with displeasure at the empty mug he had held so tightly in his hand. "Then again, that's probably why I'm knocking these things back. When you can't forget things at will, sometimes it helps to have something forget them for you, even if it's just for a short time. Hah, I haven't been able to even enjoy myself at this darn festival till now." He smiled an overly friendly smile towards the anthropomorphic man.

Unlike Siegmand, Kaku's glass was still half full, and he was not feeling the effects quite yet. He stroked his chin in thought and nodded. "I suppose you're correct at that." He stated thoughtfully. "I suppose the term "fight" is one with many meanings. Simply put- Physical Combat is the term most others in Allorum seem to mean when the word has come up." He smiled. "I must admit, you're the first who has meant anything but."
Kaku couldn't help but laugh as the Alcohol seemed to be taking it's toll on Seigmand's mentality. "Understood." He nodded. "To be honest, I merely came to this festival to keep an eye on my cousins. However, as we can both see, I'm doing a rather poor job of it." He smirked. "Not that I mind. Chatting with you has been most pleasant."

Seigmand chuckled at Kaku's comment. "Well, I guess we're in the same boat with that too. I'm... kinda keeping my eye on a few people here myself. Rather I was, but this place is so completely dull I don't even know why I should still bother." He flagged the bartender down with a wave of his empty glass and soon he smirked sloppily over a glass brimming with the dark brown drink.
"After all, those cousins of yours look old enough, how much trouble could they get into?" An image of Trucido standing high over a mound of bodies, ice cream covering his lips as he laughed maniacally suddenly popped into his brain. "On second thought, don't answer that. You'd think six hundred years or so would make a man wise, or at least teach him some common sense." He swore to himself, the words drowned in the frothy drink till they were only disgruntled mutterings.
"Well, all the same I'd say a couple of guys like us deserve a break from our responsibilities. To festivals." He raised his mug to Kaku in a toast.

How much trouble indeed... As Kaku was about to raise his glass to a toast, a Black creature with large feather wings burst through a nearby stand. His eyes showed emotions that were unworldly and he grinned- his long white fangs gleamed. He had shoulder length hair and had a savage like appearance about him. "Miss me, big guy?" He said, seemingly directing the comment at Kaku.
"So much for a break..." Kaku sighed at Seigmand's comment and tucked his glasses into a front pocket. WIth that, he stood up, and Began speaking in a rather elvish sounding language, while he used fast and accurate hand motions. Magic swirled around his hands, then engulfed the creature. Once it had subsided, there was a small rodent in the creature's place with the same black fur and wings, which Kaku immediatley picked up with one hand. He waved his other hand, and summoned a large pickle jar, which he dropped the creature into, and placed a hand over top. "I haven't time to deal with you at the moment." He stated flatly at the creature.

Having neither the reaction speed or the understand at the moment, Seigmand could do nothing but whirl around on the stool to face the newest of anthropomorphs he'd encountered today. Rather, at least he'd thought he'd met another one, but no sooner could he begin to take in what was right in front of him that the creature seemed to vanish with a mere rodent in its place.
"I, uh... should I even bother to ask what just happened?" Seigmand stared with all his focus at the jar that held the black winged rodent inside. "I feel like I might have missed something here."
