"Huh? What girlfriend?" Andy looked behind him, frowning. "I only see Jasmine..."

"Well, there is one normally one per booth, but you have to find them, since they don't want to give them out. I had to beat 3 men to get this rose..." He said as he looked at his rose, "Took me a while to find this rose."

"Is that so?" Vincent scratched his chin and looked around, "they sound pretty rare...I mean, rarer at this point than they already are. Huh..."
And figures, he had to show up at this festival late. Just perfect. He looked around and began picking out booths that he was going to start interrogating into finding a rose to win.
"Where did you go? Just so I know who to avoid? It'd be nice to hear Hala's voice again if I have the chance to."

Yeligar looked at his rose, and then at him. He then stuck out his arm to him with the rose and said, "Take it, I caused for you to be without your wife for a long while. I hope this can make things up."

"Mister, I think you own that lady a prize." Ludro said as he then walked up to the booth. He recently spoted Lana, but didn't say anything because he wanted to say something snappy. "I mean, do you really want to take a gamble on what we will do to this booth if you don't give her a prize for winning?" He then started to shuffle his cards.

Roxa stood with his arms crossed across his chest, Gensayce stood on his left and Riliath on his right. None of them were willing to let their guards down now, Roxa had let Van and Aya go about as they would, he was not willing to keep any of them tied down, Riliath and Gensayce merely stood by his side as that was their wish.
The Black Rose Festival... It was all new to him and the sights and sounds seemed foreign to him especially those simply of the land of death, but all the same he would have to relax he knew no violence would take place here "Gensayce... Riliath... go have fun, find old friends I'll be fine on my own" both simply nodded at him before going their own way, Gensayce turned his head back "Careful Roxa" he said with another nod before continuing on his way.

Faey glanced around quickly and saw a familiar face. "Riliath!" She shouted over the din of the festivities and waved him over. "Vaan, this is the guy i met when we got separated, Riliath. Riliath, this is my boyfriend, Vaan." It felt a little odd calling him her boyfriend for the first time, but hey, that`s what he was.

Leeith had been in a strangely social mood, so instead of sulking around in a dark house for the day, as she normally did when she had nothing to do, she went to the Black Rose Festival. Though she had no friend to speak of, nothing to gain from attending, she had nothing to keep her busy. Perhaps I can excercise my skills here somehow... I do not need, nor do I want, a black rose. But this is better than wasting my time polishing my weapons- they have already been polished three times this past week and used not even once. Yes, she had certainly hit a dry spell. Leeith looked around for something to do, preferably something that would enable her to use her blade. But for the most part every attendee was socializing. She stood, somewhat awkwardly, in the middle of a crowd of people with no dark shadow nearby to hide in. She was way out of her element.

Malice walked to the center of the large hall, examining the rose he had recently acquired. "All this nonsense for a rose I could have created myself..." Malice thought, remembering the ridiculous game he had to play to get it. But what to do with it now? Was there anyone worth talking to? Parents? Kain? Bar...Yes!
Malice held the rose out in front of himself. As he let go of the fragile plant, it floated in the air. In a swirl of purple and black energy, it began to transform. Before Malice now stood the red-coated figure of a recently deceased Saint. Malice smiled and said "Hello, Bartholomew."

Bartholomew stood there, motionless. He looked like when he died, 4 arms, blood, and all. Before he talked, he swung down his scythe at him, and it went right though him, causing no damage. "So, I am removed from after life, to talk to you?" He said, as he looked at him, "Hmm, Why? Want a rematch?"

Malice chuckled, "I killed you not once, but twice. I doubt a third attempt would end in your favor." He crossed his arms in front of himself. "I'd like to fill you in on what has happened after your death. There is a certain...irony in this story that I think you might enjoy."

"Ah, and then afterward, we can braid each other hair." He said mockingly. "Fine, I will listen to your little tale.

Vincent stared, completely speechless at Yeligar's gesture. In the long silence that followed he slowly frowned at the flower and gave Yeligar a sympathetic look.
"I...she was prepared for it. We both were. You miss Eva though, she's been gone for much longer."

"I had one thing to ask her." He said to Vincent, "I was a reason I kept you two away for most of your marriage. And who knows, I may get lucky and win another one."
