Kouji looked sharply at Donovan.
What's his game? he wondered, eyes darting from Donovan to Zeke to Yeligar. How'd he figure out Yeligar's game?

Yeligar started to fight off the Rous, and when he stabbed it a couple of times, it scurried off in to the swamp. "Ah, so you figured it out? Well there was a reason I had to keep a low profile. There are some bounty hunters that had followed me in the swamp. Most of them look like spell casters and archers. Since I left my sword at the cave, I had no real protection. That is why I had to to keep on the low." he said, as he placed his knife away. "Now we have to run, The Rous scare easily but it will return, with more Rous."

Zeke marveled at the new and fantastic creature that had attempted to make a meal of Yeligar. He was startled at the similarity between it and the Earth rats, size aside. Though Yeligar had made short work of the creature, Zeke wasn't sure if it was because they were an easy fight, or the man just knew how to fight them. Either way Zeke didn't want to find out.
"Okay, so we know you're a good guy and all now, so we just have to stop these hunters from getting you and you'll take us to this prophet right? I'd be nice to at least know what we have to do to help save the world." Zeke did his best to keep his voice low in case there were more enemies about. His brush glided nearby, as if keeping watch for Zeke's safety in the fire-laden swamp.

Kouji shrugged.
"I'd gladly accept any help she can give us, but... don't expect to get all the answers. This isn't a video game or a TV show, Zeke... she's not just goign to hand us the information we need on a silver platter."

Yeligar looked around and then he looked down the path, "If run this way, then we can get to my boat." He said. "Ready?"

Kouji nodded.
"Let's go."

Zeke followed suit. His eyes turned towards Donovan for a moment, but it was all he needed. He could still see the hesitation and mistrust that lingered in Don all over his face. He stepped back close to him.
"I know the man's suspicious, and I don't understand why he tried to trick us at first but we need him Don. You know this, and I know this. You can hate it all you want, and watch both Kouji and Yeligar if it makes you feel better, but we need them a lot right now. You coming?" Zeke looked up into Don's shaded eyes, trying to see if his words had any impact at all.

"Yeah, I know, Zeke," he said letting out a sigh. "I'm tired, too tired to even be a paranoid ass. Let's just get out of here."
Donovan hoped that Kouji's mention of the prophet not giving them all the answers straight up was just some fabrication.
"What's the point of being a prophet if your gonna hold out on answers, especially when your planet is going to be destroyed? Seem kinda counter productive.
Donovan was sure that whoever it was just got some kick out of making people anxious and enjoyed spouting lofty ideologies about "the danger of knowing to much." This was all of course just what Donovan believed and was backed up by no hard facts... at least not yet anyway. He would just have to wait and see whether this prophet was the real deal or just some nonsense spouting, self indulgent prick.

"Ok... RUN!" He said as he bolted down the path. As some Arrows and fire streams were fired at him, he kept turning around and checking to see if the heroes were still behind him "A few more meters!" He said to them, pointing at the arch with sunlight passing though it.

As they dashed closer and closer to the arch that seemed to be their goal, Zeke did his best to beat off the attacks as best he could. His brush swirled around behind them, moving a few meters each time before creating a quick circle that Zeke would form into a large shield for a few moments. Between the constant movement of the brush and the stout sheilds appearing and vanishing behind them most of the projectiles did not get close to the group of escaping adventurers.

Kouji thanked Zeke mentally for saving their asses as he rushed onward, putting his considerable endurance to good use as they ran toward the arch.

"We are almost out of the swamp..." Yeligar said as he ran out of the swamp and there was a small boat not far on the beach covered in branches. "Get in the boat!" He said as he removed the Branches covering the ship.

(Okay so I think we're probably done with this one as is so unless anyone has an issue I'm just going to kinda wrap it up.)
Zeke and the others quickly followed suit, entering the longboat in time as the distant cries of their pursuers were none too far away. Despite the signs of mental fatigue that were beginning to set in Zeke maintained as he summouned up two more quick creations; a sizable tower shield mounted on the back of the boat and a very simplistic turbine that slipped under the water unseen by any. Only the steady push it gave as the boat headed down the water gave away its existence as Zeke laid down and tried to relax for a moment, keeping his thoughts on the moving of the electrical parts and gears that propelled them forward. Within no time at all the sounds of their cries diminshed and the tinking of hardened steel against the shield faded into a memory.
