"So, what did you think?" Malice was used to such travel, but he worried for his companion.

Ayalan closed his eyes the whole trip: It reminded him of one especially bad time in his life and when he came out; he still had his eyes closed...
But Malice only saw a great smirk, as he opened them.
"..Enlightening. To think that the woods could teleport us faster than anything I've seen as of late. Although I admit I lost track of where we were shortly after the eighth or so turn..I suppose though, that that, does not matter."
He grinned, and let go of Malice's hand slowly after; he was honestly, somewhat disturbed only because of his past. He thought the trip itself, was fun.

Malice smiled a bit and turned away from Aya. He glanced up through the peop...um...trees, and began to reminisce on his past. Waking himself from his daydream, he said "Lets get started, shall we?" Malice led Ayalan through what was once a town. Crumbled buildings could be seen amongst the trees.
Malice and Aya arrived in a large, dimly lit grove, encircled by the oldest of trees. "This place is sacred. It is also where i came to gain my power." Ahhhh...memories.

Ayalan respectfully put his weapons to the side, on the floor, quite lightly: He even made sure there was nothing living under it, and stood, quite armorless and weaponless, once Malice had stopped.
"I feel some sort of..greater being or essence here, yes..this town..I've never seen it before; does anyone know of it's existence?" He questioned lightly, folding his arms, he was as bandaged as the Saint A.B.A, because of his constant injuries and healing scars.
"And..you learned how to obtain your own powers? From who? If I may ask."

"Youd be surprised what a little magic can make the world forget." Malice strolled further into the grove, taking in the smells, the feel of the place.
Malice turned to face Ayalan, "This is the sacred grove of the descendants of the god, Hein...the sorceresses of old. Their spirits still dwell here, watching the world grow as time unfolds." Malice paused for a moment. "This is where the sorceress before me taught me to use our power, then relinquished it to me. You see, she was dying, and in order for a fallen sorceress to rest in peace, she must give up her powers."
Against his initial beliefs, Malice decided to tell Ayalan his past discretion. "Did you notice the peculiar shape of the trees in this forest?"

Aya smirked, marvelling the magic that surrounded this place, and sighed, breathing in..
"..The air. It's...so pure and clean. Nothing like the areas we've been in from all the war and battle.." He grinned and shook his head..."I'm impressed."
"However, this makes me think..such a etheral place, of spiritual sense..-" He then heard his question.
"..Besides the fact that the trees were unusually...welcoming; they never got in my way..as a matter of fact, they pointed me straight to you when I was there..and also noting that they're so..interconnected. The felling of one tree creates a denial for other trees..but otherwise no." He was very observant, but he only shared what he could; he didn't especially looka t each tree.
He would save his question...for now.

"Within this circle of trees is a perfect balance of light and darkness. Each sorceress has added something to this grove, I believe the fifth sorceress left her mark by eternally purifying the air." Malice pointed towards the entrance to the grove. "The trees out there...used to be people." He had not missed Aya's unfinished sentence, and was rather intrigued that Aya had stopped himself.

Ayalan smiled as he put his hands on his sides, and nodded.
..He thought about it for a minute, and opened his eyes.."...That..."..
Aya slowly put his hand to his chin.."..I can only hope that these people aren't..unhappy. The human race..we're not exactly the best when it comes to taking care of the environment..how did they..?"
He figured Malice could finish the question of how they turned to be they way they were...and finally, came the question.
"..We are both male, yet we talk of sorceresses..any reason for us to learn the magic?..like...how was your past, Malice?" Aya had his hand on his hip; the bandages showed the trace of something black rather than something red or scarred.

"They defied a sorceress, killed her in fact. She appeared to me when I was young, gave to me the Sorceress Power, and I avenged her. And your right, they arent unhappy. I guess being a tree is better than being human." Malice took a step toward Aya. "I am the only male in the line of sorceresses. My...disposition and lifestyle allowed for an exception to be made." Malice noted the black under Aya's bandages and ignored the qeustion about his past. "Are you still injured? Let me take a look at that." malice took another step forward and reached for Aya's wound.

Ayalan listened to the story, and sighed lightly- he nodded.."You did the right thing. Revenge for those you care for...it can sometimes be good and other times bad. And I don't blame your situation. At least I can tell the exceptions makes me feel more at ease." He smirked, and shook his head, looking around; then he saw Malice move toward him, he noted only that Malice didn't want to talk about it, and looked aside, the bandage had been lightly tugged. "Ah-!"
All that was seen was a brand, and a tattoo; he wasn't hiding wounds at all, but rather, tattoos and branding marks from various areas of his past draft from army enslavement. Aya sighed, and pulled off some of the others; there was a tattoo on his back, of a half woman, half serpent: the sign of who controlled the very same army his ex wife commanded. He put his hand on his hip and looked down.
..."So..let's start training, my friend..." Aya smiled.

A great sadness washed over Malice. What had this man been through? What horrors had he been subjected to? Malice held his tounge. If Aya wished to tell his story, Malice was confident he would do so. There was a certain aura about his various tattoos and scars that made Malice cringe.
Composing himself, Malice said "Because of your fighting style and talents, this type of magic will be beneficial. Let me see one of your weapons."

Ayalan smiled and nodded; he would tell his story at some point, but only to Malice; everyone else only had bits and pieces of the story, but he never revealed his true secrets.
He though, was here to train..they would have their time to speak alone, and to let each other know their true natures, but he reached over, picking up two weapons: A spiked brass knuckle that he often used.
And then Ayalan held his hand out to Malice for the second weapon; his gauntlets: He was a melee fighter, otherwise he'd use any other weapon he could find.
"Here you are. My only weapons..besides my blade..which I rarely use." He looked down at himself. He felt..odd looking at his body without bandages. "..I'm sorry about your friends..and your Mistress."

"It is the cycle of life, it cant be helped." Malice said taking the brass knuckle from Aya. Malice was accustomed to feeling nothing when people died. He didnt like that about himself.
The brass knuckle began hovering between Malice's hands, and then started to glow. Malice closed his eyes and concentrated. "I'm going to show you what you will be able to do when we're done here." The glowing subsided, and Malice opened his eyes. He slipped on the weapon. "Prepare to be amazed." Malice raised his other hand and a large boulder rose from the ground, then became encased in ice. He walked over to the boulder and punched it with Aya's weapon. There was a flash of light and a deafening sound. The boulder was gone. Bits of ice came falling from the sky. "Kain wont be so cocky after he sees what you can do."

Ayalan only nodded in agreement with the statement.
"It just feels odd when people impede it, especially when it's yourself." He laughed gently to himself. And watched the first half of the ceremony.
He then tilted his head softly, watching Malice's movement and then covered his eyes as the light blinded, only to see nearly fragments of hail and pebble all around for a moment! "Ngh!...Jeez...powerful. That's beyond any level of capability I can imagine.." He folded his arms..."I guess though that we need it to fight the magic within his weapon." He smiled and nodded.."Fine. I'm ready for this I think."
Aya looked over, and watched Malice's taloned fingers, smirking. "We should pay those Saints a visit you know. The two that deserted. They seem like they're actually a lovely couple.." He put his hand behind his head, still feeling horrible for using Alessia as a hostage.

"I concur." Malice said handing the weapon back to Ayalan. "Theyre quite adorable together. So, the first step is to find the power within yourself. Your circlet channels magic, yes? How much sentimental value does it have?" Malice always became methodical when giving instructions.
