*Mark followed the two right to a restaurant and was about to go through the door when a man in a nice suit stopped him, a smug look on his face.*
Man: Sir, you can't enter here.
*Mark glanced at him and asked.* Why?
*The man looked at Mark, his face had bits of mud splattered on it, his clothes wasn't much better, and he smelled like someone who had just got done working in the fields on one of the hottest day. He tried to think of the way to tell the man.*
Man: It's not something your kind can afford.
*Mark blinked.* Alright... does he know that I'm an angel or does he think I'm a poor farmer... I'm gonna say farmer.
Mark: Listen, pal I'm perfectly fine. *Mark said pushing him away despite his protest. He quickly took a seat not to far from the two grumbling he pulled the menu over his face peeking out to look what they were doing.*

Alexander never once thought of telling Harumi how to address him - personally, he didn't really care as long as she wasn't getting too formal on him.
Actually, that'd be the only time he'd tell someone how to address him, when they were getting too formal. Made him feel weird.
"The castle? Well, it's...it's been kind of busy. Y-you see, I've been kind of gone for a year or so, and when I came back my father had gotten really sick. He uh...well, I'm sure you've heard it, he died not too long ago. So the happenings at the castle have been more or less me trying to get my kingdom together and figure out what I want to do with it, haha!" he spoke with laughter though the subject was a little uncomfortable for him, "been kind of hard because I guess he was part of this group called the Sumata? I get to go for meetings with a bunch of stuck-up royals and we follow plans to recreate the world or something. I've been told it'll be good for everyone, and we'll all be happy! Apparently I get to be a god or something..."
He trailed off as he thought about what details Trucido had laid out to him that day by the creek, about being a god and everything when all was said and done. These were things Alexander had only been told - some people, like Angelus, disagreed with Trucido's idea and thought it pure evil; Trucido never once spoke of it in a negative way, however, so he had no clue whether or not what he was telling Harumi really was an evil plot to destroy the world just for the sake of helping an insane individual.
He finally shrugged and frowned at Harumi.
"Quite personally, I don't want to be a god. It's hard enough being a king, I already miss being a kid who could do whatever I wanted," Alexander sighed, stirring one of the drinks brought to the table for a moment before smiling warmly at Harumi again, "but my dear Harumi, I really don't want to be talking too much about myself. I want to hear what a lovely lady like you does from day to day - your life must be a lot more interesting than mine, or at least I hope it is."

She stayed silent when he spoke, recreating the world?, she thought. Although she was right, he was a Sumata and from what she has heard they didn’t exactly win the award of the most peaceful group of the year, only country untainted was Crepusculum.
“Why would you want to recreate the world… isn’t this one good enough?” She wanted to understand more.

Alexander grinned.
"Of course it's good enough--you're in it!" he hoped he won a few brownie points with that lame compliment. He then turned more serious as he then continued, "....to be honest, I don't think we really need to recreate the world. You can't tell anyone I told you this, 'cause I think Trucido would kill me if he found out I told you..."
He dropped his voice to barely below a whisper, "...I guess he doesn't like how the gods run the show? Something about how they keep destroying and recreating the world to fix their mistakes so he wants to do it himself and says he needs all of us to help make the perfect world. Except I don't really see how us doing the same thing as the gods makes it right, ya know?"
He then sat back suddenly, looking Harumi over. He frowned. "Man, I'm telling you way too much, aren't I? I hate talking politics! Tell me what you like to do in your free time!"

She was totally fine with not talking about herself, to many things she wasn't supposed to tell anyone.
"Well... not much actually, like I said I don't get out often so I usually just sit around the house reading books that my Dad brings back from around the world. I'm trying to become a healer." she lifted her hand and a white ball formed over her hand. "I've got some work but I'm getting there."
((No excuses, I totally forgot about this thread. Sorry.))

((HAHA, not a problem, hon. I figured you'd come back to it sometime XD))
"Your dad travels a lot, huh? And he just leaves you at home by yourself all the time?" Alexander frowned, not judging the man or anything (come on, he didn't even know the guy), "doesn't it get lonely, though? I know I'd be lonely..."
'She has a little work to go, she says. Sounds like me...except...well, quite a different situation. Quite.'
He couldn't quite place his finger on it--he grinned. A warm, uncontrollably...happy grin. In some ways, his heart almost felt...lighter? Why was that? Just talking to her seemed to make him feel this way.

"It does sometimes, my Dad is a..." she thought for words, "He was a soldier in Santo-luce, but it seems even after he given up his blade conflict finds him."
She might have said to much, but how many soldiers retired in Santo-Luce? and right now there is a war going on so that could be the conflict, she just hoped he wouldn't piece much together.

As Harumi spoke, a few people from the kitchen appeared with their extravagant meal and placed it on the table. Alexander continued listening with his same warm smile before he let out a soft chuckle.
"Dad's a bit of a trouble-maker, is he? Or perhaps he's just a bit of a magnet instead. I suppose he has to keep himself busy somehow if he's no longer a soldier, though," Alexander had taken only a few bites of his dinner before continuing though, "why'd he drop the army in Santo-Luce, though? Just time to move on, or was he tired of listening to General Brahl continuously stroke his own ego?"
His chuckle grew into a laugh that he couldn't contain as much as he tried to. She wouldn't understand, so it wasn't a good idea to be laughing about something like that in front of her, afterall.
"Man, I wish I could retire. I should meet your dad, ask him if he wants to rule the kingdom and I'll just run away with you--how's that sound?" he was joking, of course, laughing even more as he said it.

"All he would say that he and my mother served time in the Santo-Luce and Nerezza war and once they finished they didn't want to be in anymore conflict." she then looked down at her food, "Well, not sure if you want to meet him... he might kill you."
She said the last bit in an almost whisper.

"Your mother did, too? Wow, your family was quite active in the war. Is she a healer herself?"
Barely whispering or not, Harumi's next words seemed to form themselves clearly in Alexander's ears. He blinked at her, his same grin still slathered on his face, yet after a moment's pause he chuckled almost nervously.
"Well, I...I should hope he wouldn't. I mean, the guy doesn't even know me, and I know I don't go around just killing people because I don't know them. But I guess I understand he's a protective fellow, I wouldn't blame him to get a little grumpy because hey, that jerk over there is hitting on my daughter," he flashed her as charming of a smile as he could come up with, "and what a daughter, she is! So beautiful, I bet you make all the girls jealous."

I better not tell him how he threw my first boyfriend into a tree when he tried to kiss me...
"Well, uh," she really couldn't find words he was charming and she almost didn't wish her father was hearing every single word that they were saying, so to quickly change this subject she couldn't respond to she decided to go back to her mother, "No, not a healer... she was also on the battlefield fighting with my father."

Alexander tilted his head to the side as Harumi spoke. This was like a science; he of course cared to listen to everything she said, she was an interesting woman and he wanted to get to know her much better. And at the same time, he had to start making a move rather than just sweet-talking her pretty little ears off the way he was. As she continued, Alexander, having finished as much of his dinner as he would eat for the night (which was just a little over half a plate--he didn't eat much), slowly pushed his plate to the side and 'walked' his hand across the table towards Harumi, just resting lightly close to the middle of the table.
"A warrior she was, you say? Wow, she sounds like a really brave woman. I bet you get all your looks from her, too--is she anything like your father?"
How strange it was that he was starting to feel like he had to know all about her...which was odd, he really hadn't ever felt like that about any girl before. And how pretty she was, too. His hand shook slightly, he had the odd urge to reach out and caress her cheek, run his hand through her hair, even, it looked so soft...
Odd. Very odd. In either case, his thoughts were moving a little too fast for the situation--at the moment if he was going to succeed in charming her he had to do things step by step, and do it as a perfectly well-raised gentleman.

"Well no, she isn't here anymore," she said in a slightly darker tone and didn't speak for a moment, "But that was along time ago."
She then noticed his hand getting a bit closer and blushed looking over to Mark just checking how much he was going to take... she wasn't happy for what she saw.

*Mark's eye was twitching violently, the glass he held in his hand was now cracked and the table looked like it was shaking as he tried to hold his rage in.*
His hand is to close, I swear if he touches her once I'm gonna take his hand and shove it up his-
Man: Sir, are you okay? *a man asked noticing the glass.* there is glass in your hand.
Mark: Move along, pal. *he growled making him leave.*

"Oh..." Alexander could only gather by Harumi's tone just why her mother wasn't around, and it was best to not push that subject any further.
Alexander did give Harumi a bit of a worried look as he then asked, "Are you alright? You seem almost a little worried. I don't recall this pub being an overly dangerous one for a young woman to be in, but if you feel uncomfortable you can let me know anytime, right?"
He'd noticed she seemed to get a little...fidgety? She kept glancing around, almost as though she were watching something. Which...wasn't good if Alexander wanted her to feel comfortable. He had to change that, and from the sound of it (as the people in here were playing some fantastic violin pieces), he knew exactly how to, too.
He grabbed her hand. Gently, of course, but with an ecstatic smile he looked over to her and asked, "I-I'm sorry for it, but might I ask you for a dance? This is a beautiful piece they are playing."
