Jasmine blinked, completely unaware that what she had said about her grandmother was only a little too loud until Caramel brought it up. She was quick to giggle and waved her hand however as she responded, "Oh no, no. It's not that, I quite appreciate my grandmother and all she has to teach me, she is a very wise woman. She's just a certain kind of unique that...spells trouble. She is a very mischievous woman for her age."
Her first memory upon saying this was watching her grandmother, Annabelle Fraus, pick a fight with Xisa Tyrant, the king of Ketulunanox. That...didn't go too well. Almost had Jasmine drowned. Not fun.
"I apologize for that, Miss Caramel. Are you a resident of Crepusculum or visiting from elsewhere on Allorum? Probably doesn't mean much but my mother's family comes all from Crepusculum while my father comes from Ignis..."

Caramel grinned unexpectedly, and her eyes appeared very catlike for a moment. "So am I." She answered. "How old do you think I am?" She asked. Caramel loved making people guess her age, as she looked to be about 15.
Her eyes went back to normal, and she politely answered Jasmine's question. "I'm from neither." She stated. "I come from a Realm known as Mageia....As for what I'm doing HERE, shall we say.... Curiousity got the best of me." She tilted her head. "What is Ignis like?" She asked.

Jasmine blinked at the sudden change in Caramel's character. Was this a general trait in her species or something? Perhaps a personal one? In either case, she still seemed pretty benevolent luckily...
"I...oh, Mageia, huh? I've never heard of that, but it's nice that I'm meeting so many people from all different worlds! I've met people from Earth and Symphonia, too. I should hope you like Allorum, it's a very big world and has so many wonderful places to visit--Ignis is one of them, too. It's also known as the 'kingdom of fire', being that it is very hot and has a forest that continuously burns...it's actually very lovely to see, and somehow the plants are happy there despite being charred..."
Now that she thought about it, that sounded a little confusing. Plants liking fire...then again, in Ignis plants seemed to grow with fire, so...
"As for how old you are, you do look fairly young I have to admit. Your fur looks so glossy and soft!" she giggled as she narrowed her eyes and gave Caramel a good look-over, "I'd have to guess around your twenties, early ones at least."

Caramel's ability to go from sweet and adorable to mischievous and trouble-making was one that drove her family and friends insane to say the least. She was what one could call unpredictable, possibly bipolar, but not evil.
"Mageia is a realm where my kind come from." She said. "Humans don't exist in that world. so seeing folk such as yourself is a new experience for me...." She tilted her head at the explanation of the Kingdom of Fire. "That sounds like such a strange place...." She said. "I have a friend back home who's an expert with all things plant related.... I bet she'd love to see plants that can thrive despite fire."
Caramel grinned. Compliments such as these made her rather happy. "Why thank you." She said. "But I'm actually 85." Her grin remained. "In reality, I'm probably old enough to be your grandmother." She loved seeing mortal's reactions to her true age, and this was no exception.

This girl had never met humans before? What a wonderful experience this certainly would be for her, too...
Jasmine blinked and stared wide-eyed at Caramel for a long moment though as she tried to think of how such a young-looking creature could actually be eighty-five years old. It was so odd, she was...well, she certainly seemed so much younger than that. Realizing she'd let the awkward silence linger for only too long, she tilted her head to the side and gave a sheepish grin.
"Oh, goodness...you don't seem like you'd be so old. You certainly take very good care of yourself for being such an elderly woman though, Miss Caramel," Jasmine said politely, adjusting her stance with her hands folded in front of her.

Caramel grinned, enjoying the silence as a reaction. "Elderly you say? Only in your world." She explained.
"In my world, I've not even reached a quarter of my life expectancy." She hoped this explanation would lessen the uncomfortable feeling. She'd only wanted to see Jasmine's reaction.

Jasmine's eyes widened as she brought her hands to her mouth then and said, "Oh goodness, I apologize then. Indeed, in our world the age of 85 is very elderly. In yours you say it is very young, though? How interesting...how long does one of your kind usually live if you say that's not even a quarter of your life expectancy...?"
As odd as this race sounded, Jasmine greatly appreciated learning about...well, anything. This was one of them, learning about a brand new culture like this.

Caramel grinned and waved a hand in dismissal at her apology. "It's fine, really." She said. "If all goes well, My kind can live to be about a thousand." She answered. "To some it would be considered a blessing, but it can be a curse at times too..."

A thousand years? That was an insanely long time to be alive. Jasmine thought about what that'd be like; she knew some creatures in Allorum already could stand to live for a couple hundred years or more but she was definitely not one of those creatures. She left her thoughts as they were, coming to no discernable conclusion and instead tried to just move the conversation along.
"That's understandable, I couldn't imagine being able to live for a thousand years. What brings you to Crepusculum? Or...did you mean your curiousity just brought you to Allorum as a whole?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

Caramel smiled innocently. "Well.... To be honest, I'm here as a result of entering an unknown portal..." She said. "I thought someone just left it open, and I was expecting to find myself in another area of Mageia...but I ended up here instead." She answered.
"Not that it's a bad thing, I'm just a little clueless on how to get home now." She eyed her claws as she spoke, then looked back at Jasmine. "I don't suppose you would know?" Caramel doubted it, but at the same time she figured it couldn't hurt to try.

Jasmine thought about this, the portals and all and how the 'heroes' from Earth showed up through them as well. She'd been through a portal that'd lead to Earth and back...
"I've...no clue how they work, sadly. I've gone with my friends to a place called Earth before through portals, but Miss Profeta opened them; as far as I know, she's the only one in Allorum who can," Jasmine replied sadly.

Caramel tilted her head. "I've heard Profeta mentioned before..." She said. "If thats the case, I really must find her!" She was about to say more, when a being much like herself grabbed her shoulders from behind. "Think about running away, and I'll bloody well leave you here!" He said. Caramel shrieked, and her eyes widened when she got a full view of whomever was grabbing her. "KAKU?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" She yelled.
Kaku cringed and his ears went back in agony. "Good Lord, Caramel! I'm right here! There isn't any need to yell!" He took his hands off her shoulders and straightened his posture, resembling a high class gentleman. "I could very well ask the same of you." He said, cleaning his glasses.
He eyed Jasmine, and bowed to her in a rather elegant way. "Do forgive my rather rude and unexpected appearance." He said. "My name is Kaku Rokkakyu, and from the looks of it.... It seems you've met my eldest cousin, Caramel..." It seemed strange that he referred to her as his older cousin, as he looked much older than her. While Caramel looked to be In her late teens, Kaku appeared to be in his mid to late twenties.

Jasmine's eyes had merely widened at the sight of Kaku appearing behind Caramel; there was another one of them! How wonderful, at least Caramel wouldn't be 'alone' in this world. She giggled as both Kaku and Caramel half spat at each other and smiled sweetly as Kaku bowed to her afterward.
"Heee, it's good to meet you Mr. Rokkakyu. You are quite the gentleman," Jasmine greeted him, returning the kind bow, "it must be wonderful to have such a sweet cousin."

Kaku shook his head and chuckled. "Are you referring to Caramel?" He asked. "Sweet is not particularly the word I'd use to describe her..."
Caramel glared. Kaku could be SUCH a spoilsport at times. "Enough with the chitchat!" She said. "I NEED to know why you're here."
Kaku raised an eyebrow. "For YOU of course. Grandfather would have a conniption if you went missing again, and Lord knows hes too old for that. u_u" He said. Caramel sighed. There he went, guilt tripping her again.
Kaku directed his attention back to Jasmine. "Do forgive me....but I don't believe I know your name."

Jasmine blinked watching the two cousins argue with each other. From this very scene she could definitely pick out who was the more mature one, for sure. In odd ways it almost reminded her of her grandmother and herself...
"O-oh! I apologize for that," Jasmine held her hand out to Kaku, "Jasmine Loque, from Crepusculum."
