Jasmine giggled.
"I am. I used to live here in Crepusculum, by the Shimmering Lake with my mother. I don't anymore, I'd been travelling with my grandmother for a bit and am now back to travelling with a very close friend of mine," Jasmine smiled up at Kaku pleasantly, "you and Miss Caramel come from an entirely different world, I hear. Or I would assume you would, too, if you are both related and all. What do you two do for a living in your world, if you don't mind me asking?"

Kaku chuckled slightly and nodded. "That is very much correct, Miss Jasmine. We are both Mageian Folk."
As he was about to answer her question, Caramel blurted out "I'm a PIRATE!" She grinned, as if this was something to be proud of. Kaku sighed and shook his head. "FORMER Pirate." he corrected. "You simply mooch off me for the time being..." He muttered. Caramel shrugged, and ignored her cousin. "I worked as the cook." She said.
"As for myself..." Kaku began again before he was so rudely interupted, "I am a Master Wizard. A position that is not at all easy to gain mind you..."

Jasmine's attention was immediately grasped in both a good and a bad way. The good was Kaku's occupation, to which she smiled and enthusiastically spoke to him and felt like they had some really neat common ground.
"That's pretty amazing, actually! I know how it goes for something involving magic to be very hard to do, though. I'm a healer, and I typically balance my natural healing with magical healing for the purpose of conserving magic use. On the side, my grandmother trains me to be more of a devout servant to our gods if you will, I'm learning quite a few spells...some of them are quite witch-like," she lowered her voice at the mention of 'witch'...witches apparently weren't too well-respected in some parts of Allorum quite yet.
The topic of witches left Jasmine with a bit of a frown, which didn't change as she then addressed Caramel again with, "A pirate, huh? Even if you are a former one, it's probably best you don't go around mentioning it a lot to anyone. Specifically my father, actually, he's told me stories of him capturing, robbing, even killing pirates or people involved with them."
And really, it would be a shame for something like Caramel being thrown in jail by Vincent to happen, especially because Caramel did seem like an adorable and sweet girl when she wasn't giving that odd, odd look.

Kaku was rather pleased to see that Jasmine was impressed by his occupation. "Thats most intreguing." He smiled softly. "And Its a pleasure to meet another devoted magic user, m'lady." He bowed.
Caramel rolled her eyes. "My buddy Tav has killed lots of people!" She bragged. "I bet he could kill your father to-" She was silenced by a harsh look from Kaku. "You'd best listen to her." He warned. "Older cousin or not...You've got rules to follow." He glared.

"Well, well, well," A jovial voice spoke up, emitting from a man garbed in green and with a cane. "This has to be the most interesting sort of off-worlders I met so far. Very interesting, of course that's what people use to describe me."

Jasmine blinked at Caramel's very big ego, or at least stroking her friend's very big ego.
"I...I'm not sure about that. I haven't met your friend, but Papa can be quite scary..."
Hearing Kevin's voice, though familiar, almost startled her. She'd been too wrapped up in her conversation with Caramel and Kaku. As Kevin had approached Jasmine gave a polite smile and said, "I'd probably use the word 'eccentric', Mr. Uruhane."

Kaku was about to say something, but his attention was directed at the newcomer. "Good day..." He said.
Caramel smirked at him. Seeing that he was an aquaintiance of Jasmine's obviously meant he wasn't a threat, but she was curious all the same. The small pixiebob walked over to him and poked his Stomach. "Well hey there yourself Mr. Interesting!"
