Caramel had wandered through a portal to this strange land, and the portal had vanished behind her, leaving her with no way to get back.
She did possess magical abilities, but unfortunately, her kind had certain obligations and rules when it came to creating portals. One could not create a portal without knowing where they were, AND where they wanted to go. She knew where she wanted to go, but as for where she was.....she hadn't a clue.
She looked around uneasily and bit her lip. She wondered if this was a realm where humans dwelled. She had never met one before, and, she wasn't sure if she wanted to. From what she had heard, humans were rather....strange looking with no fur or claws.
She shook her head at the thought and began walking. "I won't get anywhere by standing around..." She said quietly, wringing her hands nervously. The sooner she found out where she was, the sooner she could figure out how to get home. She just hoped she got there before something bad happened.

Blink. Blink. Blink.
If blinking were audible, Kouichi was sure that she could hear him. It was... was... was....
A walking, talking cat? With rainbow fur? His own tail twitched in surprise. She looked lost. And confused. He stepped out from behind a tree, and greeted her.
"Um, hi. Who are you? You look kinda.... lost."
Well, lame, but okay.
He was a human teenager, with short, blue-black hair, and wore a green button-up T-shirt and a long-sleeved red shirt, usually worn underneath, now tied at his waist. Black tattoos rimmed in gold spiraled their way down his arms, the swirls becoming lions' heads in graceful patterns. Due to a failed transformation, he was now stuck with cat ears and a tail. Well, to be more precise, lion ears and tail. They were black and tipped with gold, and they twitched as he wondered just how he got into these messes.

"AUGH!" Caramel's fur fluffed up, and she spun around quickly, her eyes darting around to see where the voice had come from.
Her sights came to rest on this stranger, and she calmed down after seeing that he wasn't in any stance to attack.
The fact he had cat ears and a tail made him seem less intimidating somehow, despite the fact the rest of him seemed human.
"Sorry...." She apologized. "You startled me." She paused, then answered his questions as though not to be rude. The last thing she wanted was to make an enemy so quickly. "I'm....Caramel...and...yeah I am lost. Who are you? Can you tell me where I am?" she asked.

"I'm Kouichi," he told her, bowing slightly. "It's nice to meet you, Caramel, and... ah... sorry I startled you." He grinned sheepishly. "As for where you are... this is the Crepusculum Kingdom in the world of Allorum. You must be one of the heroes summoned by Profeta."

"Its okay, really." She said. Though, at his last words, she raised an eyebrow and gave him a look that stated utter confusion. "A Hero? Why would anyone want ME to be a hero?" She scoffed. She was small, at home she caused a lot trouble, and her girly side often did come to surface at the worst of times.

"I wondered that myself, the first time. Sometimes, it's the ones who don't look it that end up being the only ones who can save the day." He looked down at his tattooed arms and shook his head. "Maybe you should come with me, to Propheta's cave."

She blinked, and shrugged. "I suppose I might as well..." She said, secretly hoping that these Prophetas would have the answers on how to get home. "So...Uh... What exactly do "heros" do?" She asked.

Kouichi thought for a moment. "What you'd think we do. We fight evil; we help people. Propheta can explain it better than I can; she's the Prophet."

"Alright then." She said quietly, pondering over what he had said. The idea of being a hero might be kind of cool now that she thought about it. Her family would be proud of her for once instead of scolding her. "So...how long does it usually take to get there?" She asked.

"Um."
He tried to remember where Propheta's cave was.
"A day and a half's journey, maybe?"

She sighed. "We should get going then...." The sooner they got to the caves, the sooner she could concentrate on trying to get home.

Jasmine turned out to be not too far away from either Caramel or Kouichi. She had only stopped into Crepusculum again to visit one of the temples, having adopted her grandmother's belief that where praying in any temple to your gods is good, making the long and tiring journey to your gods' actual spiritual resting place within its own kingdom showed how truly devout you were.
It was in this instance that she had already been to praying and was nearly ready to head out when she'd recognized the sweet black-haired boy; she raised an eyebrow at the...beast by him? No, it couldn't have been a beast, it was wearing clothes. It walked and behaved like a normal person. It was rare to see a species of human-like animals in Allorum, really, but at times a real treat - this one in particular was quite beautifully coloured, Jasmine had to admit.
"Kouichi!" Jasmine called out, waving at the two people ahead of her. She approached with her usual polite smile, nodding to Kouichi with a "it's good to see you again. How have you been?"
And shortly after directing her attention to Caramel and saying, "H-hello, there. What is your name, if you don't mind me asking?"

Caramel was slightly surprised by the appearing of this new acquaintance, but then again, everything in this world was a little strange to her.
"Oh...I'm Caramel." She said after realizing that the question was directed at her. Not wanting to be rude, she asked "And what is yours?"

Jasmine smiled; the cat was a friendly one indeed and that pleased her, or rather she appeared to be rather peaceful...
"Ahhh, it is good to meet you, Miss Caramel," Jasmine's smile was warm as she held a hand out to greet Caramel, "my name is Jasmine Loque. I am a healer from Crepusculum, and pursuing a more spiritual path guided by my grandmother...hopefully you won't have to meet her..."
Jasmine more or less mumbled the last part of that final sentence. She'd travelled with her grandmother for the past half year, learning about the spiritual world and training to become more intune with the 'dark arts' that were spirit channeling. Needless to say, despite her grandmother being an older lady, she was still full of energy, sharp of the tongue, and horribly, horribly perverted.
....Horribly.

Caramel shook Jasmine's hand, and nodded in understanding. She always tried to be on her best behaviour when meeting new people, and this was no exception. However, once she'd gotten comfortable, her mischievous side would show through, as one would soon learn if they spent enough time with her.
"You don't get along?" She asked, referring to Jasmine's words about her grandmother. You'd never know it by looking at her, but Caramel was MUCH MUCH older than she appeared.
