Faey shook her head sadly. "I don't think anyone is happy about this battle, except maybe damnedblood. And in this case resting means more people will die because I wasn't there to do what I could to help." Someone else cried out across the street and she looked for a way to get around to them without going directly through the battle. "Dammit, going around will take too long." She looked reluctantly at tempest. "Cover me?"

*The spirally light circled about two dozen invaders, then once Mark clenched his fist the lights dived down on the soldiers and started to burn them. Turning away from that scene he summoned both of his blades and jumped at the nearest group of enemies.*
Mark: How many are there...? *Mark growled cutting past a group of soldiers.*

He shrugged. "Sure." Since he didn't like using his collapsable arrows, Tempest took a quiver full of arrows off of a dead soldier. He paused for a moment, closing the sildiers eyes, then stood up. He pulled out his bow, strung an arrow, and nodded.

Faey pulled out her sword, holding it defensively in front of her as she ran into the battle, trying to avoid any soldiers that weren't busy fighting someone else. There was one minor incident where she had to push back an anti-matter soldier and run past him. The man who'd cried out was on the ground, his left leg cut to the bone. She knelt beside him and touched his leg, closing her eyes again. this time when she straightened up she wayed again, her vision going dark for a moment. Dammit, I need to take a break or I'll pass out soon... But I can't afford to! She knew she wuoldn't be able to let herself rest and recover properly knowing other people were dying while she did so- she felt so useless.

So far, so good. Tempest's arrows had been mostly sucessful, a couple bouncing off of armor and such. He saw one not far from Faeylinn, and as he reached back to get another arrow, he found out that he had used them all up. "Hey, watch out!" Tempest yelled. He quickly slung his bow over his torso, pulled out his blades, and rushed toward the soldier. Will I make it in time? He thought as he ran.

Faey started to turn as she heard Tempest yell, and then jumped back quickly, not quite avoiding the anti-matter solder's sword. She swore under her breath and stumbled back, one hand pressed to the cut, which had already started bleeding. She pulled out a small dagger with her other hand, swiping it at the soldier as she stumbled backward, almost falling.

"I don't care where you attack, just force the battles away from me!" Celtik ordered the anti-matter soldiers asking to attack where. Celtik grunted, for he was now trapped inside this city, where the war was fully blown. "Better than being out there, millions of soldiers trying to break into the castle... Hmm?" He heard the yelling from Tempest, and he looked at them. One girl was on the ground, and a runt was running towards her. "...If I kill them, that looks like the perfect spot to rest." He said as he pulled out his pistol. He pointed at the wall, and fired the shot. It bounced off of the wall, and was going straight towards Tempest.

Tempest was almost at the soldier when he heard a shot. Everything seemed to slow down as he unusually thought of the situation. Save Faey and get fatally shot... or dodge the bullet and pray that she doesn't die. He decided to choose both. Time sped up again as Tempest threw one of his blades at the soldier, seeing it stick into it's lower back, unbalancing it. He then used the momentum he gained from the throw to move his body so that his shoulder would get shot instead. He felt the impact and the next thing he knew, he slammed against a wall.

Faey forced herself to concentrate, trying to heal what she could of the cut on her ribs quickly when she heard the gunshot. Thank god for adrenaline! Energy enough returned to her to be able to see straight and she lunged forward, stabbing her dagger through the anti-matter soldier's head with a grimace. Looking around to see who was shot, her eyes fell on Tempets, up against a wall and bleeding profusely from his shoulder. She ran to him quickly, hoping the adrenaline rush wouldn't wea off before could heal him, too.
"Is today just bad luck or do you normally attract near-fatal wounds?" She joked weakly when she reached him, putting a hand to the gunshot. It began healing, albeit slowly, forcing the bulet out. It fell to the street with a soft pinging sound. She had to force herself to stop healing him when the wound was no deeper than half an inch and clotted over. If she did anymore she risked going completely unconcious, adrenaline or not.

"Bad day, I guess." Tempest rubbed his shoulder. It didn't hurt much anymore, but he could feel the cavity where the bullet once was. "We should get some cover before we're shot at again."

She nodded and looked around, now noticing a man with a parrot on his shoulder weidling a gun. "Uh, I think we should get out of his way, first." she said, nodding at the man. "Ten to one, I think he's the one that shot you."

"Or was it me?" a voice said from behind them. A man that looked exactly the man in front of them asked. Both men pointed the gun at each of heroes, and pulled the hammer back on the gun. "It is time for you to be silenced."

Tempest looked from one man, to the other. "Um, you may want to hold on to something," he said as he reached into his body and found his wind power. He closed his eyes and imagined a mini tornado to surround them. Small enough so that there was only room for them, but fast enough so that, hopefully, any bullets shot at them would be caught by the outer vortex. He opened his eyes and, sure enough, a small vortex surrounded them. Tempest fell to his knees, deep in concentration. "We need to think of something fast," he said, "I can't hold this tornado forever."

Tidus frowned at the sudden attack but Tempest's move gave him an idea, he got a running start and leaped in the air. He took out his Blitzball and kicked it into one of the vortex's, the ball would bounce around, dealing damage to whoever was caught in it.

Faey pulled out her dagger and crouched low, hoping that if the small tornado Tempest had formed suddenly dispersed that she would be able to at least jump at one of the men, hopefully the true one and not what she assumed to be an illusion, and take him by surprise.
