She slowly came to, shifting slightly, realizing she was flat on her face after diving through the portal after Tidus, and lying on a hard rocky surface.
She groaned a littly, blinking, but unable to summon up much strength to move, much less sit up.

"Hey, if you are dead, I am getting your guns" A voice said over her. A man in black clothes and with a metal visor on looked at the woman. He looked at the handles of, what he expected was, a pistol, a weapon of the royals. If she did live, he could turn her in for a handsome reward.

She blinked, somehow found the strength to sit up, gave the strange man standing over her a confused look.
He was tall, she supposed, with white hair and a black beard, wearing some sort of fancy armor.
"Where... am I?" she asked, looking around at the large crater around her.

"You are in Birth crater." Volk said, as he look at her. So far, the kidnap princess theroy is true. Pile of gold, here I come.
"So, where are you from?" He asked her as he took off his helmet, and put on a tri-corner hat. He tossed the helmet to a dead body about 20 feet away from Yuna.

She looked around. "It looks like... there's been a battle here," she said, sounding sad. She looked up to him. "I'm from Esthar," she said. "I'm a SeeD at Esthar Garden.... I've never heard of a 'birth crater.'"
She sounded confused.

"Esthar? Where the hell is that?" He asked her, "It must be a very shelters town, since you don't know what the Birth crater is." He looked at her, then sighed, "Apparently, this is where the Ketulunanoxians came from Ketuluna." He said, as he pointed up to the moon, "The materials here are great for making weapons, and other items. "

She looked puzzled.
"Ke-tu-lu-na-nox-i-ans?" She sounded the word out slowly, then looked up at the sky and the moon that this man - she didn't know his names - had pointed out...
Then decided to try a trick she'd learned from an old friend.
"I... I don't know where I am. I think I hit my head a litle too hard, or something... I don't remember anything. All I know is that I'm from Esthar, a 'SeeD', whatever that is, and that my name is Yuna... if any of that's even true..."

"...Wow, you just sound like a friend that I know." Volk said, as he looked at her. "Well, are you just going to lay there, or are you going to get up. If you really have no idea where you are at, then you best follow me." He started to walk towards a ramp to get out of the crater.

She stood, quickly shaking the dust out of her long wrap and brushing herself off,t hen began to look around.
"A friend?" she asked.

Volkmar looked over his shoulder, and said, "Yea, a friend." He walked up the crater, "So, are you skilled with those guns you have? Or do you not know?"

She grinned. "That's easy."
She took aim. Concentrated. Felt the energy run into her guns from her soul, then run back to her. She looked up, took aim, and fired.
Both birds fell.

Volkmar grinned, as he looked at the two birds falling. "Not bad, but I can beat that." He said as he pulled his sword. The sword started to glow red, and when he swung it, a fat energy arc was made, and killed the other birds.
