Long before the final fight...Andy Jammer had a moment's encounter with two people whose fate is to be shifted...
Andy was heading to the Shimmering Lake to visit Hala's grave, having been gone in a long while he felt since he was nearby he could pay his respects. As he got closer and closer to the grave he noticed something was...off. There was a moving shadow, gliding across the area, a loud roar caught his attention up to the sky where a giant monstrous bat-like creature was roaring in the sky, landing on the mountains not too far from the lake.
"What the...hell?!" Andy yelled, staring at his large creature.

- [Dignity]"..." At the edge of the lake stood a swordsman dressed in red. Against the barren shoreline, his bright robe stood out; he was a bloodstain on the otherwise anemic seaside landscape. "...Watch yourself." He nodded to Andy Jammer and drew his Killing Edge, pointing it at the creature soaring above them. "...Let us destroy this scourge."

What's this noise...? The sounds of battling pulled Amphion out of his trance and his attempts to remember his past came to a quick end. Despite being blind he could see better then most people could, provided nothing stopped his magic from flowing around him it was like he wasn't blind.
And there he saw the source of the noise, giant bat-like creatures flying around two men. Slipping out a yellow book from his cloak his ran his fingers along it, Yes, this should do nicely... He stood up and began his approach to the two men, "Is everything alright...?" He asked from behind long brown haired man, "It seems you two have gotten yourselves into a bit of trouble."

"Huh?! Who are you two...?" he tried to ask, but the large monster roared out again and taking off into the air above them. "Ahh forget that."
He drew his curved cleaver blade and rested it on his shoulder, the beast swooped down upon them and hovering in the air in front him.
What kind of creature is this? I've never seen it before... he thought as the monster flapped it's wings to building up a torrent of air.

The swordsman looked up as the creature descended towards the group. "...Here it comes." He gripped his Killing Edge and waited for his opportunity to strike. - [Battle For Whose Sake]"...Get down!" The swordsman rushed towards the beast as it hovered in front of Andy Jammer. Without any hesitation, the swordsman raised his Killing Edge and leaped into the air, striking at the monster with a spinning slash attack. He landed on the ground behind his enemy and spun around to keep the monster in his field of vision. "...Tch." Instinctively, he raised his Killing Edge again and prepared to defend himself against retaliation.

Amphion raised his hand then swung it down why yelling, "Thunder!" the yellow bolt flew right at one of the monsters hitting the flying creature with great precision. "Magic works great against these things, so does arrows." Amphion explained giving a moment before he used another spell.

The slashes and the bolt of magic blasted at the giant creature, Andy raised his blade to call out an attack, "Getsuga Ten-"
However the large monster spun it's entire body around and a torrent of powerful wind shot out all around it blasting at Andy, Rutger, and Amphion.
"Gah!" Andy flung back, rolling around until he hit the gravemaker of the grave he was visiting. "Gah...damnit."

"Gah!" Amphion growled out as the wind nearly swept him away, he bent down low and dug in waiting for the wind to stop. "You're disturbing the dead you must vanish, monster. Thunder!"
Amphion once again yelled out causing a bolt to fly right at the monster.

"...!" The swordsman braced himself against the attack, digging his heels into the ground, but his small constitution simply could not endure the gale-force winds. He was blown backwards and tumbled along the ground, though he picked back up and immediately resumed his fighting stance. "...Careless of me." He gripped his Killing Edge and looked over to where Andy Jammer was lying against the gravestone. "...Hey. You alright?" The swordsman circled around the enemy, moving towards Andy quickly but cautiously. From his perspective, it seemed as though the beast was a bit too preoccupied with the mage to pay attention to anything else right now...

The bat staggered from the bolts and lifted itself higher in the air, Andy shook his head and stood up.
"Yeah I'm good, caught me off guard that's all..." he said, looking at the creature who was now flying circles above them. It didn't look like it was gonna leave though, it looked pissed.
"I never fought a flying enemy before...he certainly doesn't like magic though, maybe it's dazed enough so I can hit him with this." he pulled his blade back. "Getsuga Tenshou!"
When he swung it a large energy wave flew out towards the creature...which easily dived and dodged it.
"...Tch, was worth a shot."

"Hmm, this one is strong. Perhaps I should change the flow of the wind," he reached into his cloak and slipped out a green book, "This one should do the trick."
He raised his hands and the wind started to change direction becoming extremely violent, it then started to push towards the ground hoping to ground the monster letting Andy and Rutger finish him.

The swordsman nodded to Andy Jammer, who still appeared to be in fighting form. As a matter of fact, it looked as though Andy had demonstrated a rather interesting skill... the swordsman made a note of it. "...!" The swordsman turned and saw the mage casting a wind spell. His robes fluttered... felt like a strong downward current. In an instant, the swordsman understood... he was getting another attack opportunity. [Victory Now!]"...No room for hesitation." The swordsman saw the wind push the dragon down into his range. He raised his Killing Edge and jumped up, slashing at the monster with a powerful horizontal strike. After landing back on the ground, the swordsman kicked backwards and backpedaled until he fell in line with Andy and Amphion. "..."

Amphion was right on target, the current of wind caused the large creature to lurch and tumble...right into Rutger's blade swipe, where the slash damaged it's right wing. Andy waited for the creature to slow down it's frantic flailing before he ran up to it. He lunged for it's left wing and slashed it as well, soon both wings were damaged and the creature was now confined to the ground.
It tucked it's wings in and roared at the three warriors, as Andy prepared to attack again he saw there was a strange black spot on it's head. It stood out against the fur of the creature because of it's tar-like color against the brown fur.

"Now that it is grounded I'll leave this up to the two of you," he reached back into the cloak and pulled out a red book, preparing to help if needed, "Have one person distract it why the other goes for it's neck. Taking it head on will only result in unnecessary injuries."

The swordsman glanced back at the sage; he certainly was a strange one. Very few blindfolded men had business with books, after all. However, the swordsman conceded that the plan of action made sense. "...A distraction, huh..." The swordsman pulled out his Torch and set it ablaze. "...I believe this should be sufficient." He circled around the creature, holding his Torch in one hand and his Killing Edge in the other. He held the Torch forward and waved it threateningly at the monster. There was something about fire that elicited a primal instinct in creatures; the swordsman figured it would be enough to hold his target's attention for a while. He nodded towards Andy, but the swordsman's gaze never strayed from the monster. "...Here's your opening. Attack while you can."
