(Thread up for those that go to the North side of the festival. A warrior's tournament is here for players to join and watch.)

Elysia did not have much to celebrate- certainly not the fall of Trucido. If anything, she would have joined his ranks if he still lived. She was here mainly for the tournament. So far the opponents, worthy as they seemed, were truely no match for her speed. Perhaps I should let this one strike first.. She mused, getting into position for the next match.
Her newest victim opponent grinned at the sight of her- small with a thin blade, seemingly harmless. Then he attacked, a wide sweep of his sword that he'd assumed would quickly win him the match. Elysia scoffed at him as she easily dodged under the blade, bring her own up to his throat as his arm continued to the other side from the momentum of his swing. The match had lasted less than 3 seconds, and once again Elysia was the victor. This was amusing at first, but now it is tedious.. She scanned the crowd for a new challenger, hoping there would be one who could match her skill- a professional.

Amidst the crowd Elysia was scanning, one man seemed to stand up amongst all of them. And as soon as she would notice him, he would slowly walk into the field, with a subtle smirk etched over his lips.
" So I see you have much in the department of combat, milady. " He called, with a curt, low voice. " Perhaps you would honor me to this dance? "
Julius' lips curved in an almost sinister smile, taking out his rapier with a flourish, the blade pointing down for a moment.
" Oh, but where are my manners? My name is Julius Midrean. What is your name? I would like to know before one of us loses this soon-to-be duel. "

A swordsman dressed in crimson robes was watching Elysia from the audience, observing her battles carefully. He had been attracted to the festival upon hearing about the warrior's tournament; he saw it as an opportunity to see strong fighters do battle, and perhaps test his own abilities and become stronger as well. - [Arena Entrance]"..." The swordsman watched the last fight finish and saw a new challenger step up to the plate. It was an interesting matchup; both Elysia and Julius seemed to be formidable contenders. Of course, only one could prevail. The swordsman continued to observe them; perhaps after this battle, he would take to the ring himself and put his abilities to the test...

Elysias lips curled up into a smile. Finally! A challenge! "My name is Elysia Donnerlupo," she gave a slight nod of her head, "Shall we?" She made a sweeping motion with her blade, inviting him to attack first.

Donnerlupo, hmn? So she is one of whom he talked about. Let's see how well she fares...Julius slowly rose his saber, moving his body slightly to take his battle stance- his right side presented towards Elysia, saber pointing directly at her with a slightly bent arm, the right foot pointing towards her and the left one behind, stabilizing the body, facing to his left. His left hand laid to rest on his hip, and he bent his knees if only slightly. " I commend you for not fleeing. Well then, let us dance! " With a quick breath, he took several steps forward, each step bringing him closer to Elysia, and he lowered himself, rearing back his right arm seemingly for a thrust, and before he stabbed, he side-jumped with a slight flourish, doing his thrust attack, but from Elysia's left side.

Elysia had waited to react to his attack and easily leapt back, out of the reach of his swing. So he is not as foolish as the others, who thought a straight-forward attack could defeat me.. Good. A grim smile flashed across her face as she darted towards him, holding her sword at her waist before thrusting it forward at his shoulder, preparing to either roll to the side and attack again if he blocked, or to jump back again if her countered her attack with a strike of his own. The latter she considered to be unlikely, but perhaps he would surprise her.

As soon as Elysia leapt backwards, Julius frowned, knowing himself to be open at the moment. She is indeed fast enough to survive a first assault...!
His eye caught a movement, and when he concentrated his sight upon the move, he realised she was going to attack, and a flashback occured in his mind, in a split-second.
===
"Take this!"
A younger Julius, standing on a rectangular stage, a thousand civilians looking at the tournament. He reared back his arm and unleashed a long thrust at his older adversary, who parried and took a step backwards.
"It won't be enough." The man retorted, and took a quick step, just as Julius was getting back into his stance, heading in for a decisive thrust.
===
In a sudden move, Julius' hand shot outwards, a kind of distortion occuring from his hand, and he moved backwards... only to reappear to Elysia's right, in a large saber swing aimed at her side.

Elysia's eyes widened and she threw herself forward in a tight roll, her sword carefully held across her midsection so it wouldn't cut her, barely avoiding his blade. What is this? She wondered, rising to her feet and turnign to face him quickly, keeping her gaze locked securly on him. Some sort of teleportation ability? Then, if I remain still he will have the advantage- my speed will not only be convenient, but neccessary to win this battle.
This will indeed be a challenge. She gave a soft laugh and began to run, darting about, getting closer, and then farther, not attacking, but waiting to see if he displayed more of his abilities, so she could determine the best way to strike.

Ayalan's own presence was made on the sidelines as a later opponent, he was still wondering if he wanted to do it.
Really, he was here for a different reason, as he watched Elysia: he had split off with Nia at the Western section of the festival, because he figured she wanted to see the sights, but Aya was here for a reason.
He pulled out the gun, as he kept his hair draping over his face, and then shrugged it off his cheek, watching the fighters.
"..Not bad." He muttered to himself, as he put the spear with it: The initials C.D. were written in an extravagant style, as he leaned in, awaiting the fight to end, he had some business to take care of, keeping the weapon in front of him so he was reminded to motion himself to Ms. Donnerlupo.

Julius smirked- his tight evasion-and-counter had worked to an extent. He knew he was placing Elysia on the ropes- and it was even more apparent by her sudden change.
Is she toying with me, or is she trying to pull out my abilities...?
Then he took a short hop backwards, and began to run towards Elysia, his left hand outstretched. He tried a mid-section slash, then a thrust.

Elysia jumped back from the slash and then smiled cruelly and sidestepped the thrust. With a strong swipe she brought her blade down onto his, creating a spark which quickly grew into a small bolt of lightning. She controlled it carefully, sending it to his blade rather than to hers, the whole affair taking under 2 seconds. the resulting shock was not of deadly force, but it would be enough to startle to shock him and perhaps make him drop his blade. At very least it would give her an advantage.

During those four seconds of battle, Julius had grinned, frowned, then yelped in surprise/pain, his first instinct was to release his saber.
With a clang, the saber hit the ground, and Julius retreated backwards by a step, holding his numb right arm.
" I see...! "
He took another step backwards, knowing that leaning down to take it would expose him. It was now himself and his abilities, until he could safely retake his sword.
Serious disadvantage... This is the first time something like that happens. He thought bitterly, keeping his left hand to his side, already flexed and slightly distorting.

Sahir sat amongst the stands as her eyes scanned the area below. She watched, not the battle that was at hand, but rather the position of the guards that secured the area and the various entrances that lead into the compound.
She was glad to be in Crepusculum and the timing could not have been better. The festival had given her an easy chance to slip in and scout the city for her targets. While there were indeed a great many hot spots of magic in Nachtundtag, it was the tournament's prize that lured her in. After all, a magic blade in the hands of a champion warrior was a difficult object to disable, but seeing as it had no owner for the moment it was easy pickings. Sahir rose from the stands, her body wrapped in the fantastical clothes of her pendant's transforming spell. Holding Umbravox in her hand she moved slowly down past a few rows of onlookers before slipping into the arena itself. The day's ample light was not on her side, and more than anything she relied on the arena's occupants to be distracted by the fighting below as she went to complete her mission.

Elysia smiled cruelly once again- his reaction had been more to her advantage than she'd expected. But the fight wasn't over yet, she knew better than to assume that before her blade was at his throat. And besides that he still had that pesky ability to create portals. If he regains his weapon the advantage is lost, and the same trik won't work twice... She stepped forward cautiously, making sure he would be unable to retrieve his blade without forcing her to move.
