" Easy... easy. " Julius took a step backwards, raising both of his hands in a means to calm Elysia. " I see I shouldn't have underestimated you. Your skills are great... and I believe you can manipulate electricity and thunder, am I right? " He suddenly smirked, jumping backwards. " But you do not have an idea of who I am, don't you...? " He outstretched his arm to the side, the distortion beginning to form around his arm, until it became some kind of grey tendrils of magic, creating a spiral of energy around his arm. " I am Vuoto's ruler. But more than that, I am... " A portal opened, at his hand, and taking his hand inside, he slowly pulled out his saber, which disappeared in a portal from the ground. " ...the Rift Saber. " Upon his word, he launched himself towards Elysia, beginning a series of slashes, graceful yet swift.

Elysia set about to blocking his attacks, retreating a few steps only when she absolutely had to. I should have anticipated that... Irritated with herself, she stopped Julian's blade once more, then jumped to the side in a neat flip, hoping to catch him off guard with a quick thrust aimed at his side.

As Elysia flipped to the side, Julius used a move he'd read upon during his time at the fencing school- a variant of a Sixte Parry, instead of using a D-shaped parry motion, he spun his sword in a wide vertical circle, and with this, he drove Elysia's sword away from himself.
With a quick portal move, he appeared around three meters behind his position, stancing again.
" I believe you are not using your full power, Elysia Donnerlupo. " Julius called out. " I am starting to use my powers- perhaps you should do the same. "

My luck had been, well....bad over the past bit, having chased many rumours of great treasures from all around Allorum and coming back empty handed each time. But today was different, much different, as I could almost feel the a tingle emanating from my Fabled Fortune, spurring me on with a sense of good luck for the deed I had under taken today. Now usually, I would've just swept in, nary a sound and not even a glimpse, and snuck that fiery blade right outta here, but I figured, "hey Ignway, why not get a little training in and win yourself that sword?"
Well things had been going rather interestingly so far, as the combatants were putting up a good fight, a rather good fight actually, such that it made me second guess my former cocksure assumption of victory. Grimacing slightly at the prospect of more wasted effort, I take a moment to ponder my course of action, and glance around the stands as I did so. As my vision wanders across the wealth of spectators, I noticed one in particular, dressed in a fanciful outfit and carry a intriguing looking scythe, her body language conveying her stealthy efforts.
Letting my curiosity get the best of me, I continue to watch the immaculately garbed figure as she makes a mock attempt to sneak past the scores of onlookers. Chuckling lightly to myself, I couldn't help but think, " That's not how you sneak. This is how you sneak," as I surreptitiously rise from my seat and begin to follow the intricately dressed figure, as an almost playful grin finds its way across my face.

"If a situation should occur where I must use my full powers," she replied cooly, "Then I will do so. Until then, why waste my energy?" She shifted her position slightly, holding her blade defensively. She did not want to let on that she could not use her abilities without at very least a spark of electricity- be it from static or from blades colliding- if they remained stationary she could do nothing without breaking the rubber seal on the small glass phial of lightning she carried.

" Touché. " Julius noted, bowing his head to Elysia's logic.
" Then I'll drive you to the point you will need to use them. "
He took a large step forward, rearing back his arm and thrusting it towards Elysia, the Aspieris slicing through the air.

A loud blast echoed from the front entrance of the stadium as a bomb went off, sending the wooden gates blasting inward towards the arena's combatants. With a hasty charge four men garbed in leather armour stormed in, curved dagger in one hand and a fist sized explosive in the other. Those that knew of Ariadelvento no doubt recognized the colors and crest of the royal army marked on the invaders armor.
The men seemed driven and neither the warriors before them nor the wild screams of the crowd deterred them as they charged towards the arena's center. One struck a match against his glove and lit his bomb before hurling it towards one of the stands.

The explosion startled Elysia and she barely dodged the blade in time. The armed men charging in seemed intent on killing-and were heading straight for where she and Julian had been doing battle. She made a split second decision, then turned to face her new oppnents. "We can continue this battle at another time. For now, a truce, perhaps?.."

"What in the!?" I shout as I feel the rumble of the explosion and instantly focus my attention towards the now splintered doors. Peering through the dust as it begins to settle, I notice what looks like Alberisato Rogues from the Royal Army, as they storm through the shatter remains of the entrance, their weapons barred and ready as they charged forward with an uncanny fervour.
As I try to fully perceive the situation before jumping, I notice one of the rogues lob an explosive towards the stands where I'm situated. Guess that's where I start," I think to myself as I quickly turn to face the crowd. "Show's over, folks! Now get your ass' outta here! I shout, causing the crowd to quickly disperse as I focus my attention back to lobbed bomb as it draws nears.
Quickly creating a glyph, I dematerialize the bomb with but an inch of fuse left on it, and quickly materialize a glyph by the entrance, spawning the aforementioned bomb back by the invading forces as it explodes, assailing several of the rogues with the calamitous blast.

After the thrust, the explosion, the yelling, Julius clearly heard Elysia's offer for truce, and with a flurry, he took a battle-ready stance, facing the rogues.
" Why, a truce sounds good. Even more so if we put miscreants to their place. "
The sudden appearance of the man, Ingway, made Julius rise his eyebrow as to why he was here, but he shrugged it off, quickly targeting one of the rogues.
" Face the consequences. " He muttered, as he began a light jog towards the running men, and only moments after, he swung his left hand, creating a pair of portals- one in front of him, and one in front of the man.
" Illusion Phantasm! "
He thrusted his saber into the portal, the blade reappearing through the portal and heading straight for the man's chest.

- [Plight!]The swordsman had been watching the fight when the intruders burst onto the scene. They seemed to be well-armed and clad in a foreign uniform. Judging from their appearances and means of entrance, he suspected that they were up to no good... and his suspicions were confirmed when one of the intruders lobbed what appeared to be a small explosive into a crowd of bystanders. "...!" The swordsman was fortunately located in a different part of the stands further away from the intruders; however, he could see that the crowd was now in an uproar over the interruption. Things started to spiral out of control; apparently the bomb hadn't detonated in the crowd, but there was an explosion near the attackers instead. It was a sign that the explosives may be defective... "...So this is how it goes, huh." Around him, the swordsman could see that the two arena combatants had ceased dueling and instead turned their blades on the intruders; several fighters in the audience had taken up arms as well, some of whom seemed familiar to the swordsman. Launching an assault on a fighter's tournament full of able-bodied combatants... it was an unusual course of action. The swordsman became curious about the intruders' motives. "Perhaps I'll be fighting after all." The swordsman set his foot on the guardrail at the front of the stands and lowered his head. He then jumped down from the stands and landed in a crouching position on the arena floor. He then made his way across the grounds to where the battle was taking place.

Post by Aya Dauzi Invargas on Oct 18, 2010 22:11:33 GMT -5
Ayalan had walked out toward the entrance, using his teleportation powers twice after the secondary explosion, when he felt his chest, wincing from using his powers: This triggered a long slender female's presence next to him, as he growled.
They shared no real conversation, as she nodded toward the West: He knew exactly what she meant, as he growled at the invaders, and took a quick right: He ran toward there, knowing this was going downhill and he would have to get Nia and get out of there;...but he looked back at the female, and shook his head, standing next to her: He was at the nearest point of the attack, as he drew some of the attention away from the main fighters, slowly heading West while getting chased by a few of the rogues: He was a mercenary afterall. Nice Bounties.

Ina now smirked as Aya ran away with a few pursuers, and gave him a gun motion, blowing it out, just to laugh for a bit as she looked ahead, taking a few steps back.
"...Mn. Alberisato huh? Can't believe you guys.."
"...Can't even make a good bomb." She smirked, and reached in her pocket, pulling out a few small sized bombs with a large delivery, lighting them all on one spell and tossing them ahead of her, jumping into the arena, and looking over to Elysia.
She motioned over to her with one arm, and then tossed her the gun as it landed at her feet: The very weapon her father had used, as she pointed behind herself, "Aya Invargas wants to talk to you when we're out of this!" She smiled at her, and then jumped up into the crowd, helping people out.

The explosion of the teleported bomb landed near the invaders, but their speed saved them from the brunt of its destructive force as the four were merely thrown to the ground towards the center of the arena.
As the one that sent the bomb stood up he was met with a blade in his chest from seemingly nowhere. Julius' sword drove cleanly through the man, yet it seemed to do no more than annoy him as he looked at the arm that had extended from the portal with a blank stare as he brought his dagger down at it.
Meanwhile the other three darted and dodged with surprising agility away from Ina's bombs. Whoever they were, the Alberisato warriors seemed well trained and almost supernaturally enhanced in speed.
One sprang up to the stands with a vertical run up the wall, wasting no time in rushing at Ina with a short one-two slash of his blade. The remaining two seemed more keen on the escaping citizens than the other warriors countering their assualt. One took to the air, attempting to leap over Elysia and Julius while the other made a mad dash past them as he headed for the rear stands.

Ina noted their fast speed, and made it a point to start slashing with her now exposed nails as she ripped off her gloves, poison tipped; she would dodge a slash, and get nicked. She was as trained when she leaned in, and kissed a soldier's cheek, ripping his sword from him, and then ushered in more of their attacks.
She was only really upset because she felt her smoking stick slip from her ear: She would never recover it now!
Ina then saw the odds were more than she could usually handle, she loved stealth attacks, not these many on one encounters: She watched more people run, and then played a game of cat and mouse, trying to toss her throwing daggers at the pursuers: Ina had no chance otherwise.
