"Who dares attack us?" The Queen cried as the men as she struggled to hold onto the carriage she had been riding. The horses bucked wildly as the crowd frightened them till the carriage got twisted too violently and cracked a wheel, which sent the Queen and two of the performing mages sprawled out on the ground.
Pulling the puffy ruffles from her dress away from her she got to her feet. Why is it always when I'm in the most impractical of dresses? The thought crossed her mind as she stumbled back up in a hurry. "Guards! Help the people get out of here! You two, work your magic on those above." She jutted a finger out towards one of the Alberisato archers that was firing off into the crowd.
Each party made only a nod towards her before taking their orders. The guards drew their short swords as their polearms would do no good in the tightly paced area. The mages waved their arms and sent out a spell like many they had conjured before, sending out a small streak of light before it burst into a dazzling display of lights around the archer.
Milicia meanwhile turned her attention to the other archer, channeling some arcane energy before she threw it out as a simple orb of fire towards him.

Alexander silenced himself immediately, Zeke's coarseness leaving him with a look that revealed him shocked and partially insulted. He'd never really known Zeke to get so demanding before so it did startle him a bit. Not to mention his captains and guards never usually yelled at him during a crisis anyway even at times when they probably should have.
Without uttering another word Alexander slipped into the hiding spot and hoped that things weren't going to work out too badly. It was hard when you didn't have a clue what was going on and even worse when you were in a place where you had absolutely no control over anything in the situation.

The one archer was caught off guard by the dazzling effects of the mages spells, his hands went to his eyes defensively as he strained to see again. The remaining one moved with a skillful arching of his back, and turned his attention to her as he let lose an arrow at her.
The remaining two clashed with the few guards that had placed themselves between them and the civilians beyond. Though their blades were larger and their stature greater, the guards seemed overpowered by the rogues as they systematically beat them down or killed them. Without pause they moved past those left injured towards the festival's games area.

Tempest had been watching the parade when people started screaming. "Zapp, what's going on?!" Zapp was right beside him, crouched down in an attack stance. "I don't know. Someone is attacking us, that's for sure!" An arrow flew right past Tempest and shot into the shoulder of a man. He ran over to the man.
The arrow had embedded it's self into the shoulderbone. "Hold still," Tempest said as he grabbed the arrow and sharply pulled it out. He looked at the arrow closely. "No way," he whispered. He quickly turned to Zapp. "Zapp, get this man somewhere safe." Tempest stood up and into the parade, which had now become chaos.

Zeke nodded approvingly towards Alex and said, "Don't worry, I'll be back. I promise." Then with a wink he lowered the beam down which all but obscured a small portion of the chaos outside from Alex's view. With his ward safe for now Zeke moved against the crowd, his blade drawn as he sifted past the fleeing people.
He did not need to travel too far though, as the attackers had made it to the beginning of where the games were stationed. With the fallen guards in his peripherals Zeke gulped with worry, wishing he had been able to bring his chain blades. Zeke braced himself as the two approached, keeping his weapon close as he decided to take on the one to his right and hope that the other did not join in till it was too late. Zeke shifted and swung with a diagonally upwards cut, careful not to overextend his swing.

"What the hell is he doing attacking here?" Milicia said aloud to herself as she pivoted off to the left, barely dodging the arrow that whizzed past her. She hadn't done anything she could recall to anger the Other, or bring any of his wrath on her kingdom. She had no time though to ponder it as her she witnessed her guards defeated in only a few moments.
"You two, deal with the archers! I'll be back." Milicia took two steps into a brisk run before falling over the draping ruffles in her dress. Grumbling to herself she tore at the fabric till the extra material laid unattached around her. No doubt the dress had cost a small fortune to make, something she was sure she'd hear plenty of from the court's tailor when this was all over. At last able to move half decently she made her way after the two rogues while the young mages sent minor projectile spells of fire and ice out at the archers.

Alexander sat in his cramped hiding place, still a little miffed and stunned with Zeke only moments before. He tried to peer outside of the booth's wreckage but so far was seeing spells shot around, small buildings burning and people everywhere either running for their lives or dying. It was a really unsettling thing for the young king to watch, especially knowing that Zeke was out in the middle of it. He'd promised to be back, though.
'Stupid, you can't promise to be back from a battle. Captain Renold tried that, too'
He remembered it only a little more than three years ago, before Captain Alex had even showed up. It was back when even Albert Leid was still one of his father's faithful captains, the other was Anthony Renold. He'd been an older man but he was still one of the best soldiers Santo-Luce had and on top of that somehow he didn't seem to mind Alexander too much. It'd made him happy especially when he found he'd wanted someone to talk to and Anthony was usually willing to, being one of the few people Alexander had found he could confide in without either being judged or having the word sent back to Bradley about it.
Alexander had been with his father when Captain Renold left with a group of soldiers into an attack almost like this one, saying on his way out he 'promised a speedy return.' It'd been speedy, however in a coffin. Some time after that they'd taken Alex in and he replaced Anthony. Thinking about this didn't help the situation, instead it made Alexander worry even more. He buried his face in his hands and tried to calm himself down.
Through the screams and explosions he heard a purring sound, making his head shoot up and look Foxy straight in the face through the opening of the booth. She looked silly, her fur standing on end as it tended to when she was ready to attack. She stood by the booth, keeping her eye on Alexander and at the same time watching the chaos around them. Alexander reached a hand out to pet her when his eyes lit up with a plan.
"Of course--Foxy, be a good girl and go watch out for Zeke for me, okay?" he spoke, trying to cajole her into entering the fray. At least he wouldn't have had to worry as much. She didn't move, however. Her tail twitched as did her ears, though she made no other move. Alexander frowned.
"Come on now. Go! Go protect him!" he waited another moment or two before he raised his voice, "get going!"
Her tail wagged to show she heard him and understood, though she still disobeyed his orders. Alexander let out an aggravated sigh as he spat, "Damn you and your loyalty sometimes! Fine, if you're not going to go help him then I'm just going to have to come out so you do have to!"
She immediately walked off to the side, disappearing from his view. Alexander grabbed ahold of the beam and made to lift it so he could scramble out though he struggled very badly with trying to lift it even a few inches off the ground.
"Come on, it can't be that heavy..." he grunted and tried again, this time it getting suddenly so heavy he had barely enough time to move his fingers before it came crashing down on top of them. Eyes widened he looked upwards before again letting out a very infuriated sigh. Foxy looked down at him, content look on her face and her heavy [enough] body standing on top of the beam he'd been trying to lift.
"Foxy! Bad girl!!"
Despite his yells and insults at her, she sat and watched for anyone or anything that would dare attack them.

"Cards!" Ludro said, as his cards flew right into one of the rouges back. When they flew back to him, Ludro looked around and sighed, "Again with the war..." He muttered, then he ran around looking for the quickest way out from this war, to report to Elexa. He then ran past an dog like being just sitting there, and he started at it. "Why is it just sitting there?"

Suddenly someone leaped off a nearby building and into the middle of the group, "And the Hero has arrived!" Enizo smiled glancing back at the group of enemies. "And it seems I have my work cut out for me!"
He raised his hand and closed his eyes, then opened them quickly to show that his left eyes was completely white why the other was completely dark, "Let's play!" He yelled as a wave of dark and light energy shot out at the group causing an influx of power threatening to rip right into one of the cloaked figures.

Shortly following Enzio was Andy, his black cloak fluttering in the wind as he made his way to the queen.
"Hey! Lunetise!" he yelled, remembering she was a royal and called out instead. "Your majesty!"

Through the commotion and crazy hell of everything, Foxy sat perfectly calm and watched over Alexander while people fought for their lives and heroes gathered to save the citizens.
Ludro stared at her as he ran by and Foxy turned her head in his direction, staring at him back. She did nothing more however, currently finding nothing that was of immediate danger to her master hidden (and trapped now) underneath her.

Akuma seemed to appear beside Ludro and placed a hand on his shoulder "Ludro" he nodded at Foxy "You seem troubled by a dog when we have more important things to think of" he himself watched the creature for a moment before again trying to help Ludro snap out of it "We must return to Lady Elexa and report this"

"That fox... Nevermind. " Ludro said, debating if that fox belong to someone important. "Did you come to the festival alone?"

Akuma nodded his reply "Yes, I did not plan to stay long anyway" he looked once more at the fox before deciding himself it was a problem for another time "Is Lady Elexa actually here at the festival or do we set off for home?"

"I don't know." He said, as he thought back, "I leave the Dark-Soul City before anyone else did for business, but she could have come. When did you leave for the festival?"
