Plot Thread 1.1 Prep and Departure

[Ma'at]

Ma'at simply stares, seeing the environment, as she deftly speaks, "Tell me we are at home. You don't simply teleport through the world in less than a second.." she looked around.

She gripped the spear tight, and said calmly, "...assuming I'd like to go home as soon as possible.. Why don't you delegate us to go in our separate groups as, if you're telling the truth, we only have three weeks to set up ten beacons.."

Ma'at felt awkward, everyone was serious, she definitely saw a new world, and the salt below them.. It was an entire area of salt, too much to be placed in a few seconds..

"..How will we treat the inhabitants? We cannot just attack everyone yet we are armed to the teeth..."

[Ra]

"We will not be able to get home until 3 weeks are up. Going home before can be dangerous, if their portal isn't up." Ra stated kinda coldly, "As for transportation, we have a miniaturize device that should help us to move quickly, however it takes a while for it to warm up. As for inhabitants, we are to move discreetly, however if any get in our way, we must keep our mission a secret." They walked until Set pointed to a mound. "Here is where the first well will go." Ra said, "Anubis please put this on the mound, and set it for at 30 second delay."
Anubis nodded, and took the odd looking device to the mound and and turned the device dial. However, he accidentally set it to 3 second, not 30. He started to walk back,"Ok, the device is up and running. Is tha-" His last words were muffled by an explosion, that covered him in white light.
"That idiot. I said 30 seconds!" Ra shouted at him as he looked at the explosion.

[Isis]

"ANUBIS!" Isis said as she reached into her med kit to find something that she could use to help him. Maybe some burn gauge or something to heal from an explosion. She ran past Ra to go help Anubis, ready to heal any wounds.

[Ma'at]

Ma'at followed close behind Isis, then stopped halfway- no one would live past that inferno. Absolutely no one.

She turned back to Ra, "..So that's it? We die and all is forgotten?"

She sighed, but understood, "That is what was legally signed up for.."

Ma'at simply watched Isis, then turned to her other followers, Awaiting their response so she could judge the situation accordingly.


More so, she already knew their thoughts, and simply awaited what she already knew..

[Ra]

Ra grabbed Isis by the arm and pulled her back. "No, you idiot. He is a goner!" He said, then watched as the pillar of light started to change.When the light receded back to something that looked like a fire on a lighter, but a calming white light. Where Anubis once stood, A disgusting deformed blob now rested there. It made an noise but it wasn't in any known language. Ra walked towards it, and didn't make a remark as he pulled out his mana sword, and stabbed him, ending Anubis' life.
"Alright, we have one down, and 9 to go." He put his sword back at his hip, and held out a device. It started to absorb mana.
"Completing the mission is what I expect. Follow my command, and you won't end up like Anubis."

[Monthu]

Monthu's face was stern, he was an assassin and he was used to death, but he had never seen a mercy killing committed with so little mercy. He shook his head slowly at the waste of life before him, his hand lightly brushed the arrow he had nocked.

"One arrow can change the world..." he whispered to himself with a heavy sigh. Perhaps he could do that here on this mission, maybe he could change the world with the shot of one arrow, maybe more, but what if he had that chance to engrave his name in history? He couldn't pass up such an opportunity.

"So, what are our orders?" He asked, trying his best not to look at the now deceased Anubis, how had such a thing happened? He'd just turned into mush...

[Ra]

"Stay frosty, do what we must do quietly and quickly, and let no one get in our way." He said as the device finally charged. "Set, do you have the flash drive?" Ra asked to Set. Set handed the flash drive, and he plugged it into the device. It started to beep, and make a whirling noise, as Ra pressed buttons. It finally shot out a purple portal.
"We will make up camp after we go though this portal. The door is only open for 60 second, so let's move!" He said as he walked though the portal.

[Isis]

Isis walks towards the portal, then she sees something glimmer out of the corner of her eye. She turns and its from the corpse of Anubis. She walks over, and finds his dog tags. She pulls it off of him, and puts it in her boot. She puts her hands together, and bow to Anubis. "I'm sorry that I couldn't help you." She whispers, then she runs though the portal.

[Bast]

A shudder ran through Bast as she stepped forward, past the remains of the thing that had been Anubis, and through the portal; where it led, she had no clue, but it had to be better than here.

Not a hoax at all, she thought to herself as she felt the swirling energy touch her, like a living thing.

[Ma'at]

Ma'at didn't really want to go any further- in fact she felt like she'd live longer being away from these people as far as possible.

However, after Isis, Ma'at quickly bowed to the corpse. "May the Gods judge you fairly in your time of death."

She then turned and walked through the portal, leaving her spear upright so as not to harm anyone going through- Ma'at wanted to just....wake up from this nightmare now.


...but she was still here.

[Monthu]

Monthu stopped in front of the portal and inclined his head to Anubis' corpse. "Zun jing." He said, simply saying 'respect' to the body meant more to Monthu than any physical bow could.

He followed the other through the portal.

[Ulysses Kondo]

Set didn't respond to Anubis body, and he just walked by his body, and entered the portal. It then shut down, when a horse like creature carrying the old guard. "What's going on here?" He asked, as he looked at the Mana well.
*Closed*
