I give a smile to the guard here. "Sharing your viewpoint to a young woman is fine, Aya. There is no need for saying a question is stupid. You're not the first, believe me. Many pity me because I have no arms, and offer me a room. But I say no... I don't need pity." And I turn away from the art to look at him. "Not that I believe you pity me. You are missing an arm. So you must know what it feels like, right? To have everyone trying to pamper you, to accomodate..."
I give a tired laugh. "But I am the sky. I am aware to everyone. They know I'm there. But they can't have me. I can go on forever... I can be painted any color. The gray canvas? That is the sky..." I could feel my eyelids beginning to droop. "It's so simple... Normal people just don't see it.."

Ayalan smirked as he folded his arms over one another, laughing..."I suppose you are right, Rin. His eyes opened to show his yellow hues, as he tilted his head aside, "I ..."..He shook his head..."My arm gone does not mean I cannot fight, or that I cannot rule. It is as you say. We make do with what we have. Our talents are due to our will, not our bodies."
He nodded at her feelings, and watched her as he kneeled down, watching her fade a bit before he nodded.."The sky needs only to evoke emotions from people, otherwise, the sky will always be around. The sky doesn't need people, but when people notice the sky, they show who they really are- but even the sky needs to rest; that's why we never have the same weather everyday. It'd get bored." He grinned and stood up, "I don't suppose you have a place to stay now, hm?" Aya reached into his pocket and pulled out enough gold for a room, handing it to her, "Consider this an advance payment. Not a charitable offering, if you'll allow me the gesture."

I reply with a small smile. I bite the gold and drop it onto my lap. "Sure thing, Aya. I get what you're saying here... But it may be another day or two if you're sending me off now." I give a slight wink and pick the brush up again, telling him I wasn't going off just yet.

Aya laughed at the gesture in return, nodding, "I had no intention of leaving myself. I simply wanted to make sure you weren't going to pass out right here- as much as the painting would be great to be done sooner I'm sure, you can't rush art. And I've got the day ahead of me. What'll you have?"
He held the easel up, waiting to hear a color, he watched her paint away, as he asked, "I..don't mean to sound silly. But you seem so adept to nature..does this place bother you?"
Aya stood up to see Rin from the side, "I mean..it's truly the only place made of metal, and I've tried to make it more human each day but...it simply is a manmade structure in the end, isn't it?"

I offer a lazy smile, taking more of the turquoise. "And what's wrong with that, Aya? I've never seen nature, yet I'm apparently adept to it. Why can you not adapt to metal? Just because it is man-made does not make it bad, at all. Different, sure. But aren't you and I just the same? We're different from others. And it has nothing to do with our arms..." "It's my home. Though, if you put me in a forest, I might know exactly where you're coming from. Or maybe I'd fit right in." A slight chuckle escapes my lips. "You never know what the sky might be capable of."

Ayalan folded his arms after she took the color from the easel, and he nodded for a moment at her explanation. "I suppose you live in a metal sort of nature...I suppose I cannot argue your point if we took it in a personified manner. But let me muse with you for a moment."
He sat down, holding the easel up, "It's more that metal creates the weapons of war: The armor, the sword, the shield, the spear. But..then again, without those, we'd use wood. Or fists..I suppose my point is null in comparison." He kneeled to a knee, "I suppose though, it doesn't really matter."
"If you're the sky, you exist everywhere at once. Just happens to be you're physically here. But you're really everywhere. So you are in a forest as well as a metalopolis.."
..."Damn. Never had a chance to think of it that way.." he laughed aloud to himself, shaking his head at how much the musings of this girl made sense..."Alright. I understand. Just answer me this though..do you enjoy the metal jungle?"

I smile largely now. He was finally getting it. "Of course I do. I was raised here. And I have the need to stay here, until I find out why I have to be here. It's what I know. But since I'm the sky, I also know the forest. I know the ocean. I know the desert. I know the people. I know the animals." I laugh, very lightly, and say, "I've just yet to meet them all. But one day, I will."

Aya smiled softly and nodded.."I suppose I've been going a weird way then. I'm a king of this country and I want to be as equal as any other man. We all pull our weight our own way. I'm a person, I don't need a crown to be considered anyone special..I've thought of your way for awhile..just differently applied."
"..I hope that you can meet all of them sooner rather than later then. Cause to be one with all of those and not know of them...I wish you could see it all. It's all beautiful."
He stood back up and held out the easel, "Sorry. Back to work then." He closed his eyes and intently watched her movements to redirect the easel.

I smile and nod, but say nothing more. People don't need to be ruled. He knew this. I close my eyes as I pick up a clean brush between my toes, sighing in content. If I did leave, my fellow citizens would at least have someone that they believed to be his leader, while he was working to be their equal. It's an interesting trade-off. I open my eyes to stare at the palette, then grimace. I didn't know what to choose... My look turns to Aya and I smile, just softly enough to be noticed. "You pick the color this time, Aya. It is your painting... You should leave a mark." I lift up my left foot holding the brush, showing the metal Mark on the bottom of my foot as I reached for his palette.

Ayalan smiled and folded his arms, as he thought for a moment- he quickly looked down and made a purple hue from a simple red and blue- violet turned to purple with a better mixing job, and he stood back up.."You know, I'm not much of an artist. But, I can truly appreciate that your art is as real as life itself. I suppose for you, life is art.."
His words trailed a bit, as he eyed the mark on her foot and kept it in his mind, speaking, "Hey Rin-.."
He stopped. He would need to think about this.
"...You know..thanks. Honestly. Life can be stressful. I feel like with all this, you've made the stress fly away into the sky, as it were."
Aya's genuine smile came through.

"Heh.." My smile stayed, his realization finally coming through, completely. "Of course, Aya. If you ever feel the need to mix paints for me, feel free to seek me out. I'm always painting."

Aya bowed once and smiled at Rin, holding the easel out for her, "I shall. Afterall, any reason to make the town happier is a noble reason to do anything, and..well."
He laughed, "You Are the town as well, no?"
Aya nodded and looked back to her painting, taking in all of the details.

I give a small smirk. "That depends on how you view the town, Aya. Is the town a blank canvas, ready to be painted something new and beautiful?"

Aya's smirk was trademark amongst his own allies as he folded his arms, "Only if we want to continue evolving, but can't a blank canvas be art in itself? Silence, Nothingness, Peace. I suppose you cannot lose no matter what direction your art takes, as long as it forms into a meaningful beauty to someone."
He nodded with his own answer, and held the easel out again.

I chuckle lightly. "A blank canvas being art, huh?" I close my eyes to ponder it. "That would make me art, huh?" And with one slow nod, I hum lightly with my thoughts. "Then maybe you could buy a blank canvas off of me and make it your crowning jewel of art." The sarcasm was followed by another laugh.
