Aya laughed and held the easel out again as he spoke, "Nothing wrong with being art yourself- I'm sure most would agree, they just say it differently, like, 'You're talented' or 'How can you do that?' "
He felt his jawline with his free hand.
"And ...well as long as you pen your signature on it, I guess I wouldn't mind it." a light smile came upon his lips.

I return the smile with a small upturn of the corners of my lips. "That can be arranged." I droop my smile a bit, then open my mouth wide to yawn. "Right.. purple." Swirling the brush into the color three times clockwise, then three counter-clockwise, I return to the painting. "I'm not used to other people, you know... They look at me like a wounded animal. So uh..." I clear my throat, making a twisted face. "Thanks, I guess."

His own smile faltered as she focused back to painting again, he nearly forgot she was clearly tired by her enthusiasm. However, he stood with the easel in a relaxed position- crossed arms but held out so she could get it easily. He turned his head, watching her movements again.
She then spoke once more, and he opened his mouth slack jawed for a bit, wondering what would be best to say.
He closed his eyes, with a small 'hmph' of a chuckle.
"Wounded animals have more desire to stay alive and have a greater appreciation for life- wounded animals that don't consider themselves wounded are stronger than those who are 'complete' as it were," then Aya turned to Rin again, the easel still held in the same position by shifting his waist.
"There's no need to thank me for knowing you're no different than anyone else. That's common sense. It just so happens that people lack that common sense," He felt his free mechanical arm with his cheek, "You're more whole and complete than anyone else in this town."

The left corner of my mouth turns back up. "Funny thing to hear. But if I'm no different, how am I more whole and complete?" I chuckle and focus on my strokes. "But I get your logic. And regardless if there's a need or not, I have the desire. And I follow my desires. So thank you, Aya. Looks like wisdom can be found anywhere. Even here in a war-crafting town..."

Aya laughed and tapped his forehead with his free hand, "Funny you should mention how you are more whole.."
He turned to her a bit more, nodding, "Imagine the human body, whole and complete, we all may have more girth, muscle, or less- some people known as different may have an extra body part or lose one- now let's think of the existential being of our mind? If you are everything from the sky to the forests, and the town to it's people, you've made up the world."
Aya laughed to himself on the creation of this philosophy; "But please, it was not a problem- it just happens to be that you who are no different from everyone are actually the culmination of everyone. How's that for a round about?" He turned back to the wall, and spoke to her last point, "I assume you meant the wisdom I found here today, no?" He grinned at her, before quickly making another dot of the paint using two side pools for mixing, keeping an eye on their levels.

Another sly grin spreads across my face. "Perhaps I do. The time of obtaining wisdom has nothing to do with the fact that you have it, Aya. Whether you have the wisdom of one man, or of the whole world as an entirety, it doesn't matter. Just hold on to it, and keep it. Use it. Then no matter what, you'll be satisfied with yourself, even when another won't be. Then you'll know that you did what you knew was best... That's what I do, at least. It works for me."

Aya laughed to himself once or twice with 'heh's, closing his eyes and watching her as he nodded, holding out the easel once more, "Just so happens that I am using not my wisdom, but my appreciation for another's. One day I hope to pass on your message." He closed his eyes, speaking, "Is there anything else I can help you mix? It seems you've come along quite well with your painting."
He hadn't even noticed how much advancement she made over their conversation- he even forgot he was checking around town- he simply smirked. This had been much more fun than his usual routine.

"Not just yet... But this will be yours. Mix a color of your choice. If I like it, I'll use it..." With a nod, I take more of the purple and swirl it in with the turquoise, created a gross brown color. Which I proceeded to put on the canvas. "Though I fail to see what message you wish to pass on. There seems to be nothing that I've said that would be worth making known."

Aya smirked and nodded- he went in and created a light yellow, he actually used the reflection of a glass pane nearby to match his eye color as best he could- simply because it was a different color when it came to people's eyes.
"How's that then? I'm not much of a mixologist.." He laughed, folding his arms and holding out the easel.
"And...nothing that I can relay back to you, more what the world can see in your art and your ability to use words or pictures to convey that we are all alike no matter our differences. Makes me feel as if this arm.."
He looked to his fake arm.."..Is a means for me to appear normal when I should focus on my life without it. It's not like it hinders me..." He closed his eyes.
The next scene she'd see is his one arm folded over his chest, the other on the floor, still holding an easel out for her.

A small smile spreads and keeps its way on my face. "Aya, you are a funny man. Maybe it was a means to appear normal. Maybe it was a means to feel like yourself before. Whatever the purpose, there's no shame. Don't think I'm forcing my ways on you... But it's good to know there are open-minded men left in the world." The lazy gaze had a little life as I looked into his eyes, then back to the painting. "I think we're nearing completion here." But I take from the new mixture and lift the brush to the canvas one final time. Two strokes finished off the painting.
Staring back at me was the moon of Chalybs. The canvas had become something that had appeared in all of my daydreams, all of my fantasies. All of my sleeping dreams, and all of my night terrors. The moon was made up of many colors, instead of the metallic-looking view it had to many. There was more to speak about it. At least to me. "Give it some time to dry, Mr. Aya. And then you can take it, should you still desire it."

Ayalan's face show an expression of laughter and smiling combined, as he shook his head, "You are right. Despite your views, you do it in order to be yourself- why shouldn't I be myself?"
He said more succinctly for their conversation, "A king listens to the townspeople as well. I'll take your word as good advice for sure."
Then Aya found himself stepping back, a hand under his chin as he had one foot on his arm like a triumph over a mountain.
"..I see this moon more and more living here..But I don't think I've seen it so...bright."
He folded his arm over his chest, "Name your price, Rin. Absolutely anything I can do or give and I will consider it greatly."
Aya though smiled at Rin, happy that she could now rest on top of all that she had done, he was honestly impressed.

"Hmmm...." I grimace an obvious amount. I was used to others making offers, and taking what I could get. Naming my own price...? "Erm... I really don't know..." And if I had fingers, I'd snap them. "Alright, just come back and visit sometime. I might be leaving the city soon. You never know when I'll find what I'm looking for... Promise to come talk to me again sometime, and this is yours."

Aya folded his arm over his chest as he laughed to himself, as he shook his head for a moment.
"..I almost feel like I'm getting a bargain. Your stipulation would have been met regardless of its being put on the table. But I accept- ah. I mean. I promise-, as long as you promise me one thing."
He looked upon the painting and looked back to Rin, "I'll provide the frame..but I want this to be visible to all of the townspeople in a location of your choosing."
The yellow eyed king made his terms, and he folded his arm over his chest again to make it final.

I make another conflicted face. "Um... yeah. I guess that would be okay... Just don't make me give a speech. People ask too many questions..." With a sigh, I crawl onto the floor and rest my eyes. "I can live with that..."

Aya knelt down and smiled, "No speeches. No 'look at this person'. Just ..pick a place you would find best for the Chalybian Moon to be seen by everyone. You were the artist. You have a vision for it.."
He placed a hand on her shoulder, and spoke, "Would you like an escort to the nearest inn? As much as I know you enjoy sleeping wherever...I think you deserve a peaceful night in a decently warmed place."
A hand extended not so much to help her up as much as was there to let her decide what to do with it- he didn't want it to be viewed as a sign of anything than his friendship and offer to be...nice. For lack of a better word.
