Ra sat in the town of Wavola, as he ate some fruit. The recon group's next target was a city once more. This city wasn't large, it only having about 400 people in it. Due to the problems that happened last time, he promised Monthu and Bast that if they had to do this again, they could perform it. He waited to see how the duo would preform on this mission.

Monthu was moving through the town with Bast, mainly sticking behind buildings and out of the general line of sight. Whilst nothing bad would come of getting a few odd stares because of their attire, he would rather not run the risk at all. Better safe than sorry right? Still, after what had happened back in Roccia, it was pretty safe to say that Monthu felt sufficiently awkward walking with Bast. Then again, running a hand through his hair he thought on it for a brief moment, what was the harm in what had happened and had been said? He was Lü Jin for Zhong's sake, he was an assassin, he was Monthu. It wasn't like him to get worried.
"It's about time we finally got to do things our way, for a change." He mumbled as he checked that a particular back-alley was clear before proceeding down it with the utmost caution. He had a hand behind his back, always ready to reach for the long knife (fashioned after one of his awl-pike arrows) that he had strapped there. He was running no risks.

An invisible hand tapped him on the shoulder, and Bast slid into view again, carrying a leather pack like the ones carried by many of the natives.
"Agreed," she said, grinning. "Especially doing things my way." She pulled open the top of the pack, revealing that it was stuffed to full of costumes native to the city. "Easiest job I've ever pulled, really."

"Y'know. First I was going to ask how you got these." He said with a smile "Then I realized that was a very stupid question, now I'd rather know who you got these from..." He picked up a tunic from the pack and looked at it curiously. "Because... I have this growing sense of dread that I'm going to be walking around smelling like some musty old man..."

"I got them from a very respectable shopkeeper who was gouging his customers; he's not going to miss them. This, however..." She grinned as she held up a small pouch which clinked as it shifted. "Well. He might miss that." She made a shooing motion. "Go find someplace to get changed, and then we'll set ourselves up at an inn and get some lunch before we scout out Ra's precious well."

"What, we not exploring the 'perhaps' yet?" He asked with a coy smile and wink before turning around and clambering over a wooden fence with one swift motion. Checking that what seemed to be some sort of vegetable patch was clear, he went about getting changed, damn combat gear, now that he thought about it he wished he'd brought something a bit more reasonable. I mean, it was easy enough to do when they'd made camp and he had a bit more time, but as he struggled to work the zipper on his combat vest he couldn't help but grumble.
"Stupid thing..."
He finally got it to work and went about getting changed, before raising his hand and rapping his knuckles against the wood, idly scratching at the itchy material as he did so. "You done yet?"

"Having trouble?" She smiled, putting the finishing touches on her own outfit - a simple, yet elegant dress that complimented her hair and eyes perfectly.
"I like this country," she said, turning in a circle and watching the fabric swirl. "They have excellent taste in clothing..."

Monthu was perched on the fence above her with a grin on his face... Enjoying the view.
"Me, having trouble? Oh no... I am perfectly fine!" He scratched again at his chest, this material was really annoying.
"But seriously, I hate this country. Their clothes are really itchy."

"Hmmm." She shrugged. "The men's fashions appear to be woven from a rougher cotton than the women's. You'll get used to it; it can't be as bad as that heavy combat gear you were lugging around."
She smiled up at him. "Speaking of which. Shove it in the pack and we'll get going, hmm?"

Monthu's grin widened as he un-ceremoniously dumped all of his stuff into the bag near Bast, the sleeve of his shirt gracefully catching onto her head as it flew past.
"There ya' go!" He said with a grin.

She laughed, shoving the wayward sleeve into the bag, closing it, and handing it to him.
"What, you thought I was going to lug your gear?" she teased, grinning. "Sorry, but the big strong man gets to carry the heavy pack. It's a cultural thing."

"See that?" He asked, taking the pack and hopping down from the fence, landing beside Bast.
"That right there is called 'sexism' don't know if you've heard of it? It's generally frowned upon in most societies." He grinned all the same as looked around. "Anyways, don't we have this well to place, somewhere? I'm pretty sure we should get that done pretty quickly."

She grinned. "This world is stuck in the dark ages," she said. "I'm Welsh. I know all about the dark ages."
Then she laughed. "So come on, big man. Show a little of what we call 'Chivalry.'" And she poked him in the stomach.
She sighed. "Anyway, we first have to locate a place close enough to the spring to place the well, and we should probably wait 'till dark anyway, just to keep people from accidentally standing where we're setting up..."

"That sounds like a fair plan." He said with a shrug, motioning for Bast to lead the way with a small nod, slinging the bag over his shoulder with a small grunt.
"Jesus, Bassy." He muttered as he stretched out his shoulders with a wince. "How much crap do you carry?! This is not my stuff, and I can guarantee that with all certainty.

She shrugged. "Let's see... A box of bobby pins, a full set of lockpicks, a small safecracking kit, four changes of clothes for various situations that might arise, the shopkeeper's most expensive jewelry, and a set of night vision goggles for you. And my utility belt." She ticked the items off on her fingers as she listed them. "Probably the goggles that are heavy. I've never managed to find a lightweight pair, which is why I don't work with partners very often." She grinned. "I may have to rethink that decision; another one of those 'perhapses' you're so fond of."
