"Rin!" I yelled as the strike sent me back towards her. "Be careful! He's lost control, he won't know who you are!"

And at the end of it all, there stood one man- Aya Invargas, with a team of people channeling in water via bucket- the effort was futile but he was damned if he would let this fire affect the outer areas of Chalybs- he was focused, but the sight of people escaping- he recognized two of them; and then his yellow eyes flashed, before he cast a spell of ice, frustrated and letting the fire melt it to water, before he turned to the group.
He had suspicions but no proof as he folded his arms, awaiting perpetrators to come clean as it were, shelter already being made for the wounded.

Oh, no. This was bad, this was very, very bad.
"King Ayalan!" I called, deflecting another blow as I dodged behind Shin, aiming a strike that he was able to turn and block in return. "Be careful! This young man's lost his senses - until he runs out of energy, he'll attack anything in sight!"

He blocked Vash's strike, oblivious to his opponent's conversation, then threw him backwards, taking the time to distance himself before sending several flaming projectiles at the blonde man. It didn't look like he was going to block in time...

Play - Enter the NinjaThe flames suddenly twisted together to form a large dragon, before flying upwards towards the sky and erupting into a form of firework display. Stood before Vash was Kurai Horo, book in hand, his other hand held forwards in one of his hand signs, a bead of sweat dripped down his forehead, fire jutsu's were not at all his specialty. Lowering his hand, he closed his book and placed it into his pouch, before raising his hands in a defensive stance. "Well, well, well..." He muttered, looking across at Shin. "It seems that we have a little pyromaniac on the streets..."

Shin turned to him, eyes still filled with flames, and he threw the remaininghandful of fire he had at the newcomer, quickly calling more.
"Brother, I am happier than you can possibly imagine that you showed up when you did," Vash told Kurai, his face relieved as the burns quickly began to ease back into his flesh. "There is a bit of a catch-22 involved in this scenario; be careful!"
The last words were shouted as Shin quickly closed the distance and leaped into a flying kick at Kurai.

Ayalan laughed to himself and shook his head.
"Then as King, I must quell this threat."
Aya allowed his forearm to come off- the many tricks the man had were mot to be reckoned with. The charge of magic from his arm cannon came up as he took a few shots as Shin, the element shot out as ice, the only way to cool down a hot headed threat, he looked back to Vash- "Do what you have to. The longer this attack hits, the more damage the town takes- I don't care what has to be done."
The people nearby watched and nodded, letting Aya fight- they were busy attending to the wounded.
"Hm. I don't know who you are. But I appreciate the help." Aya nodded at Kurai-"I'll give you time to prepare an attack."
He rushed in and allowed magic to shoot from his broken arm.

I mae my way towards Ayalan, beginning to feel the effects of Shin's draining my energy.
"Be careful," I told him. "That boy is innocent, not responsible for his own actions. There's little I can do now to help you... my energy's spent..."
And, true to my words, I found the ground rushing up at me...

The energy he'd been feeding on had disappeared, but he was still locked in combat with Kurai. The ice attacks merely melted in the superheated air around him, but each one sapped precious energy. His attacks were beginning to slow.

"Got it." Kurai said with a nod before turning his attention to the kick flying towards him.
The boy had definitely had some training, but it was a rough style, little used in actual combat clearly and definitely no match for Kurai when it came to hand-to-hand combat. Allowing Aya to run forwards, he made a few hand signs of his, lets see just how well this guy liked water of a more magic quality!
"Water style: Water dragon jutsu!" Suddenly, all of the water in the buckets that Aya's men had been carrying burst forth and formed the shape of a dragon, before rushing towards Shin,

The waters put out the flames around him in a large gout of steam, slamming into him and sending him backwards. He struggled to get up, calling more flames, but his power was fading. He climbed to his feet, rushed Kurai...
And stumbled, falling to the ground, completely drained and unconscious. His hair spilled away from his scarred eye, and he lay limp.

Ayalan sighed as he nodded in peace of mind that the area was doused.
He picked up the young fighter- his body was still hot, but Aya simply shook his head, propping him on his shoulder and walking toward Kurai.
"Since Vash seems preoccupied.." He put Shin down, and sighed, "Who can explain what happened and why it happened?"
A town of angry people seemed to echo the question silently.

"Nope. I haven't the slightest idea." I shrug, sitting on my bottom. My feet were burned, flaring red, peeling skin. "This is a bummer, though... Your cape got tattered, Aya..." I sigh, closing my eyes and trying to calm the burning in my feet. It... was not working. "It looks like I won't be doing anything for a while... Well, no. I can't do nothing. That's impossible..."

"I can."
A large man stepped out of the crowd and kneeled at Aya's feet.
"Sire, I deeply apologize for the disturbance my son has caused. It appears he has, yet again, disobeyed my strictest orders..."

"And who would you be, Sir?" Kurai asked, standing beside Aya with his arms crossed against his chest.
