"...Don't blame him, Mr. Kato..." I mumble. I crawl over to him, trying not to injure my feet even further. "I forced him to go. It wasn't his choice... He told me he had to stay. So don't apologize for him if he's not at blame..." Truth was, while he didn't scare me (nothing really does), he did bother me. Make me feel uncomfortable.

THe large man stood, glaring at Kurai. "I could ask the same question of you, stranger," he bristled. "I happen to be that boy's father, and you happen to be disrespecting the King."
Then his eyes turned to Rin, hot and angry.
"Oh, don't worry, Rin. I'm absolutely sure you had something to do with it; you've been encouraging him to play with fire since the day he met you. It looks like he finall got what he deserved, and got burned - again."

"...I didn't convince him to play with fire... I told him to live for himself. And to do what he wants. You're not some... all-powerful king. He's almost an adult..." I growl kind of low. I really don't like him. He's the only thing bogging Shinny down. "He'd be better off without you, anyway."

Kurai rolled his eyes.
"As far as I know, King Aya isn't one for 'authority' and 'regularity' when it comes to his rule, so I doubt he cares. And I don't care if he does to be frank, I don't fall into his jurisdiction." He finally uncrossed his arms, and retrieved his book, continuing to read it casually, his eye locking onto it's pages, but all the same he continued to address Mr Kato.
"And young Rin actually had nothing to do with this. If you want to blame anyone, blame me. I'm the one that pushed the boy to the brink, but it was the only way to subdue him." Not quite the truth, but all the same, he'd rather be the one to take the blame.

He snorted.
"No offense, sir," he said sarcastically, "but I'm absolutely sure you're full of it. I know my son, better than any of you, and he didn't need someone to 'push him over'. He was always looking for a way to stray off the path, and this young girl gave him the excuse. Well, he finally lost it, just like I said he would, and there's no one to blame but themselves."
He looked around as if daring anyone to comment.
"Hellious' own flames cursed him. I told him to quit fooling around with those powers of his; you'd think that after the death of his own mother, he'd have learned his lesson." He glared at the form slumped over Ayalan's back. "Evidently, he never has."

Aya looked with a smirk at Rin, as he waved his hands over her feet- a cooling sensation, a light amount of healing- Aya had gained so many skills..he was happy to put them to good use.
He then looked up at Shin's father as he folded his arms, "You are a weaponsmith for the town... "
He closed his eyes- "The money for repair will come out of my personal treasury. Let your son...be at peace. He seems to have lost his temper. Your work for the town is more than enough for my absolution-he shall receive no punishment. "
He turned to Kurai, "I don't mind your opinion of me, but please allow my word to stand ground- take Vash, the child to the castle so they may discuss this tete a tete more to me."
The subtlest wink have way to allow Shin a way out of a possible beating.

"Believe me." Kurai said, dropping the formalities. "Your son is far from cursed, he has a unique gift that when nurtured, will make him a very prominent and important figure, but of course, I'm sure that you could think that I'm cursed with some 'evil wind' or that young Rin and 'Guo may be cursed with some 'evil metal and void' respectfully." His eye narrowed, this man was really grinding against his nerves.
"So if you would be so kind, I'd happily like you to take a few steps back so I can see to your son."
He looked down at Aya and nodded.
"As you wish..."

He sputtered and turned red, but the orders from his king were final. He bowed sharply, turned on his heel, and stormed several steps back toward the crowd.
And then, quietly, within Kurai's mind, a voice spoke.
My Knight, Kurai, Zephyr's voice said. When the boy is stable, you may wish to remove the metal band on his arm; my brother wished me to mention it, as he is.... indisposed to do so at the moment. Though I am sure you have already guessed what is beneath it.

Aya watched the man storm off as he shrugged to himself, and went to the crowd, "These people are indeed innocent- My own move is based solely in the ideals of the community- one person shall not destroy the fabric of our society. We shall simply rebuild and start anew- This entire area will be rebuilt in no more than seven days' time. I will help personally, as always. I am sorry for this travesty to occur under my rule."
The people dispersed, nodding to each other- at the end, no one was truly hurt and the inn/bakery was coming back.
Aya knew his damage control well, but then he looked to the others once more...wondering what to do now at that point.
He kneeled down by Kato and put his hand on his own chin, pondering his skills and his control over fire.
It was like seeing one of her fireworks shows again...
He shook his head, letting the past go yet again.

Kurai also knelt down beside Kato, reaching out to his arm, he removed the piece of metal there, to reveal his Lunar Birthmark. He nodded, confirming that which he already knew.
"It was obvious." He told Zephyr. "He controlled that fire with the simplest ease and placed it into a fighting style, but it was clearly unrefined, berserk, the tell tales of a Lunar Knight, plus he was overloading on Lunar energy, I could tell that much at a glance, even without my Sharingan."
He looked up at Aya, his one eye closed in a grin. "We will take the boy from here, if that is okay with you?"

"Thank you for healing my feet, Aya." I say calmly. "But I have something I need to do..." I ran after Shin's father. I know you want peace, Ryn. Just... lend me this strength for one personal reason.
I channel as much energy as I could while running. It wasn't much. But I conjured enough to get what I wanted. I had spawned two metal arms. One grabbed him by the shirt. "I've... I've had it with you, you know that?" My mind was surprisingly clear. Focused on this. "You've hurt my friend enough, hear that?"
Then I pull him down to eye level with me, and bash our heads together. I had to let go, and feel dizzy. My head hurt... But I was stable enough to spin and hit him in the chest with the slightly-larger fist, knocking him back easily thirty-feet.

"R-Rin!" 'Guo called, watching her run off and land a few surprisingly good blows on Shin's father. All the same, he had a feeling that things had already gotten more difficult for burning the in down, it wouldn't help having Rin start beating down on the local population... No matter how much they deserved it. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind!
With such thoughts in mind, he ran over to his fellow Knight, putting a hand on her shoulder, he smiled. He hadn't planned on this part, but Kerrian clearly had, and drained a minuscule amount of Rin's lunar energy, hopefully cooling her off a little bit. "You okay..?" 'Guo asked, a soft smile hiding the thin layer of concern in his voice.

He simply lay where he had fallen, too stunned to even move, watching it all through wide, almost fearful eyes.

I pant deeply. I was tired. And my head hurt. The arms vanish in a burst of light as I let myself fall into 'Guo's chest. He was big and comfortable. I dampened his shirt a little bit with my tears. "Y...yeah. Perfect... Can I go to sleep?"

'Guo simply nodded, wrapping his one available arm around her. It was understandable, everybody needed comfort every once in a while, even the oddest of people.
"Yeah... You can go to sleep now..."
Without another word, he effortlessly slung his weapon over his shoulder by the leather strap, before scooping Rin up. He was obviously worried that Kerrian had drained too much, but the voice in his head assured him otherwise. Carrying her away from Shin's father, he sat down near the others, the small armless girl still held against him. He gave Vash and Kurai a grim nod, letting them both know she was fine.
"You can go to sleep..." He repeated, barely a whisper.
