"With all do respect, King Other... you no longer have the authority to kill me." Enzio gave a deep sigh, he knew things were going to be tough but the fact that he walked in just as the bride went missing? Well that was just bad luck.
Nobody was taking the Martial Law thing very well, understandably, but if anyone knew anything about the Allorum Guardians that never before in their history had they needed to bring up the truce that was made so many centuries ago. This needed to be dealt with right away.
"My name is Enzio of the Allorum Guardians, as stated by the truce made 800 years ago: in times of dire situations the Allorum Guardians may declare Martial Law. I need to see all Royals and Heroes right away, perhaps there is some private room we can use? Time is limited for he could already be here." he left it cryptic, hoping that it would begin to move everyone to wanting to learn what he was about to say.

Nia marched along trying to keep up with Alessia as she was being led away, the storm around them worsening and feeling like a dark punch to the heart knowing what was to come.
"But Alessia...f-f-f-f-f-th-th-th!!" Nia sputtered as she shook her head violently, "bother!! We're a family, a-and families need to..."
'stay together'. Even to Nia, in the darkest times, they needed each other. It was scary to know that Alessia wanted to go solo with Him around.

How could Alessia properly explain what was going when she herself didn't understand all of it. Alessia glanced back at Nia as she tried to find the right words to explain why she couldn't follow. But when Alessia looked at her sister all she saw was someone who was as frightened as she was.
And truth be told; Alessia didn't want to be out there alone. The mere thought of it made her pale with worry so at least being with Nia would help ease some of the worry.
"...Alright Nia..." Alessia conceded, "We'll stick together for now."

"I've no clue who they are, and if I did I've long forgotten," Alexander shamefully admitted, though even with the confusion and tense atmosphere Alexander spoke softly to Zeke, "I'll find a way out of this." It didn't matter that he'd never had to deal with this kind of thing before and really he was scared listening to strange armoured men coming into his presence and telling him what to do in a place other than his own castle. He just knew it had to be one thing addressed at a time and without violence coming of it. Zeke would have felt a nudge on the back of his leg then as Alexander's famous three-foot-high fox appeared and pushed in to stand by Zeke, tail twitching as she eyed her surroundings. Alexander crossed his arms as he looked over Enizo and The Other.
"You unsophisticated trout!" Alexander took a haughty jab at Enizo, "the bride goes missing within minutes of us all last seeing her, you and your ruffians break down the door moments later, march in here and then tell us no one has authority to kill you. Where that may be a sealed deal for some nations' rulers here today I may remind you that there are millions upon millions of people on Allorum and some of those millions are what give us our authority, not a couple of you who stand here assuming it by force."
His eyes narrowed as he continued sternly, "I'll hear you out regardless of your tactlessness this time only because it seems to be an urgent enough manner but you'll get at least that from me." The rest, the support, the respect was all going to have to be earned despite the grave circumstances they were in.
But authority over him? No chance. To Alexander eight-hundred years ago was a long, long time ago and where it was probably a legitimate thing with these guys there were reasons why Alexander was king of his nation at even such a young age, and reasons that these guys didn't want to find out. No one knocked him off his high horse except himself, afterall.
Or Holmes.
Or Zeke.

"Eh..." that same lemon-face appeared once again on Enzio face as Alexander spoke, he blinked a couple times before saying, "Oh, ah, you must be the King of Santo-Luce. I suppose I have no choice given the situation."
He turned to the crowd and frowned, "Duo Angelo is back." he let that sink in before continuing, "After years of continue investigation we've concluded that Duo Angelo escaped before the Tower of Salvation collapsed, in fact... it's highly likely that he is watching us right now."
Enzio may have seemed calm and collective but at this point he had enough of being shouted at. Rude or not for barging into the wedding this matter far outweighed the joining of two people. He'd have to make the Kings understand this, "Now if you'd all like to relax and speak rationally, we need to come up with a plan right away."

Relax? Rationality? Not the right choosing of words given the situation.
Roxa took one firm step forwards, reached out, grabbed Enzio by the edges of his cuirass and pulled the boys face right up to his own. He saw the taller Guardian reach for his sword, but Gensayce's spear was already resting lightly against the mans neck. Roxa's gaze burned down onto Enzio, with all the fury of the gods.
"My bride goes missing and now this. Don't jest with me Enzio..." He snarled, his swords aptly clinking at his waist as he spoke. "Because if you are, Knight or not, I'll kill you here where we stand, Martial law or not." He pushed the Guardian away from him and made a sharp motion to a small study just behind the thrones.
He addressed the sat down crowds.
"My apologies. Would the rulers and any heroes please gather in this study please..? It appears to be an urgent matter..." With that, Roxa turned and led the way, his face smouldering with rage.

Terrified as she was, hearing Alessia at least say they could stick together for the time being was enough to give Nia even a little hope for the situation. Alessia would feel this in the squeeze of Nia's hand, full of warmth and that little shred of hopefulness against the situation. Even as horrible as it was Nia felt better enough she could give Alessia a smile now.
"Let's go," she spoke with a push of determination. They had a few ways in the city to go before they were free from it.

As Enzio stepped through the study he turned to Roxa and shook his head, "Would you actually think I'd set up this entire situation, interrupt a wedding and joke about Duo being back? I understand the amount anger you must being feeling, but Alessia going missing? It only confirms this." He sighed, "Just clear your head and think. Have you noticed those rain clouds? Roccia almost never sees this type of storm, he's here and the more we stand here throwing each other around with threats I suggest we actually do something before he makes another move."
"It's our move, we need to make it a good one."

The Other was taken aback by Enizo's comment, left without words he only stood and stared at the young warrior. After hearing the outburst of the young Santo-Luce king he threw his head back and burst into hysterical laughter.
"I don't the authority! I don't have the authority he says! Ohh boy, I like you a whole lot. You keep up that cute little attitude and I'll have no choice but to let you live." The Other settled down, grazing his hand behind his head to tidy up his tendrils. "Very well, this is far more exciting than a wedding anyways." With a sweeping gesture he motioned Enizo to take the lead and followed him into the study.

Roxa took a deep breath, gritted his teeth and tightened a fist. With all the confidence of royalty, he strode over to the Other and stared up at the creature, he narrowed his eyes and spoke, his voice laced with authority and anger.
"You're in my castle, Other." He growled. "You're in my lands. Here you have no authority. No authority whatsoever, so I suggest you keep that monstrous trap of yours shut and just gods be damned listened for once. Because I am not in a good mood and right now you are really treading the line between my good side and my bad side..." He stepped back and turned away, still speaking to The Other.
"Ask the old Royal Guards about my bad side, if you can find any."
He turned back to Enzio and let out a deep breath before continuing.
"Alright, let's get this over with... I'm assuming you have a plan..?"

"Ah, sorry 'bout this but some of us are a little rusty on ancient Allorum history." Zeke piped up, his hand raised in the air high in the hopes someone important enough would see. "Look it's all well and good that you guys think something really important is happening that we need to look into, but if you're expecting us to take this seriously after talking about 800 years ago this and Duo-whoever that, you're going to need to go back a couple steps and explain why this has you all freaking out."
Jeez, He thought as he gave out a little sigh. Just when I was worried about something simple like a missing bride or a regular old war like one from Earth, here comes 800 year old super soldiers talking about a single man like he's the next Trucido or something. So much for getting to take it easy today.

What did he just say? A.B.A. had thought she must have misheard. Certainly she must have, but that look in Roxa's eyes confirmed it. That monster, the man that had caused it all, was not only still alive but he was coming for them? She felt a wrenching sensation in her stomach as a thousand years of sleeping hate awoke in an instant, and all of a sudden her questions for Roxa seemed so small.
She had to know what was going on, and damn near no one was going to stop her. Suddenly an epiphany hit her, and A.B.A. realized her good fortune in taking the form she had. Velestia may not have been a hero, but the clairvoyance she possessed would allow her to be useful to group. It would get her close to Roxa, and with so much going wrong for him the last thing he'd do was doubt a helpful young lady. It was perfect.
Almost bouncing out of her seat she tailed behind the group following Enizo into the study, hanging in the background, silent as could be. Silent till the right moment arrived.

The Other lowered himself down to Roxa, separated barely enough that he could feel the Roccian ruler's hot breath against his face. "Don't think yourself so mighty little pretender. Your authority is a gift, given to you by the foolish commoners you led to their death for your own profit. Real authority is taken, not given to be waved around as an idle threat. Know this child, it is only out of respect for your title and the tradition of this day that I don't rend you in two with my 'monstrous trap' and take your authority for myself." He opened his maw nice and wide, his jaw seemingly unhinged to stretch out larger than the young man's head, before snapping it down against the air with a loud chomp sound.
Raising himself back to his fully upright stance he dropped the grim tone in his voice and resumed his light and jovial speaking habit. "Now that we're all done with the kingly tantrums perhaps you might tell us of this Duo? I'm curious to know what a single mortal can do to have you all shaking so bad."

Enzio glared at the Other. It was one thing to insult his mission, but to insult the people who fought and died to take their freedom? That was another story altogether.
"King Other, you are excused from this meeting. You want to find out about Duo? Go read a history book... or eat a historian, whatever you do." Enzio gripped his sword tightly as the Allorum Guardians behind the Other did the same, "I am here by my own choice to help those who wish to be helped and more importantly, deserve to be helped. Now would you please show yourself to the exit or do I have to show it to you?"

Andy walked past the others -briefly shooting a glare to King Other- and stood next to Enzio, Eli and Juno on their heels after him. He did make a point to whsiper Enzio though and tell him some advice.
"Enzio you better hold off on the 'martial law' statement, you're dealing with... a lot of prideful people here who couldn't care less about you guys or your law. Understand? Watch who you wave that ticket with." without another word he turned his attention to Leah who had walked up to them.
"Andy what's going on?" Leah asked.
"Trouble," Andy admitted, "see if you and Jasmine can help search for Alessia, I am gonna find out what's going on."
