"I'll grab my sword from up front, and then I am ready to begin." Andy said, folding his arms. Eli Ventus also nodded in enthusiasm.
"Me too!" Juno gave him a look and Eli also pointed to her, "She as well."
"So what are we waiting for?" Leah asked, having appearing with Andy's sword and her own weapon. "Lets go!"

The streets quickly became swarmed with panic civilians which made the job of escaping so much more difficult. Thankfully they were close to the city limits and after two more explosions they finally made it out of the city.
Alessia didn't stop running though until they reached a small hill with thick vegetation, from here you could see the fire in the distance despite the heavy rainfall. She fell against one of the trees and just watched the chaos in the city.
"Things will never be the same, Nia," Alessia spoke out, her words echoing the sadness that her face expressed. Alessia hugged her legs as she felt the momentum and the adrenaline leave, replaced once again with sorrow.

"No need." Roxa said nodding at a guard, who opened one of the doors. More guards poured in carrying the weapons of all those who had entered the castle, as well as their own tools of destruction and death. They looked ready to fight, but Roxa was not planning on sending his own men out to die, there was no point.
"Grab your weapons and then prepare to leave. We shall take the fight to our enemies, then." He gave a nod and unsheathed both of his blades, looking over at Riliath and Gensayce, he was happy to see they were also ready.

Alessia and Nia ran as far and as fast as they probably could physically handle before they stopped finally. Nia's legs wobbled in exhaustion, going numb on her as she watched Alessia sit and she tried to resist the urge to do so herself.
Hearing Alessia's words, how everything was forever changed on them were heartbreaking. She'd just grown to love her new life (or so she hoped), and she no longer missed her old one from the thousand of years ago...it wasn't fair that Duo was here to ruin it all again.
Nia pursed her lips. She felt like a dark hand had grabbed ahold of her heart and began squeezing it. Her thoughts took her to memories of a few months ago, back to a conversation she had had with probably one of the most influential people in her life. Could she move past the life she'd lost? Yes, she felt she could. Was there something worth fighting for, for bettering herself now? She believed or would liked to believe that was also true...
She caved, falling to her knees by Alessia and watched the fires in the city with sad eyes.
"It's not going to happen again...it can't," she tried to sound hopeful now, "we'll find a way this time, Alessia."
She hoped so.

"Right," Enzio nodded, stepping right behind Roxa. It felt like the walk out of the castle lasted forever, but when they finally got out, there was a brief moment when he wished to go back in. The area around the castle walls were charred from the countless explosions.
Enzio's eyes scanned the area, it was so calm. "Watch out, they could be waiting to strike..." Enzio warned before taking one step onto the charred grounds.
Nothing happened at first... but that brief peace didn't last too long.

The Other was all too content to play along, now more than ever. The explosions bombarding the castle walls had made the day go from dull to thrilling in a single blast, and he wasn't going to miss a single thing. He followed Enizo eagerly out from the safety of the castle walls and towards the seiged battlegrounds.
"Oh my, this is what you humans call a trap, isn't it? How cute, it's like a guessing game, except with deadly force." The Other's maw clicked in anticipation as he scanned the perimeter.

Alexander's plea refocused Zeke in an instant. His eyes honed in on his lord, and he could see the unease lurking beneath his cool front. Much as he hated to admit it, he wasn't going to be much in a fight if they truly were up against such a titan of power. Zeke remembered how his battle had gone with Trucido and a cold shiver rushed up his spine.
No more second chances, no more super powers. Looks like I'm back to playing the bit part in this adventure. It was a childish thought, a selfish want that once more bubbled to the surface as he tortured himself between duty and desire. Of course he knew how important he was to the people that mattered, but all the while he couldn't help but imagine what could be if that power still coursed through him.
Moving to the recovered weapon cache he quickly collected his chained blades and his traditional captain's sword before returning to Alexander's side, watching as the Heroes and Enizo rushed out of the castle. "Give the word boss, and I'll be right beside you all the way."

Jasmine followed the group out of the castle, keeping close to Andy as per usual. The area around the group glowed a pale blue colour, provided by Jasmine, a defensive spell put up to protect who walked inside of it but keep others out.

The group moved slowly out around the castle, as they did they heard brushing and movement...the bandaged figure Andy saw was moving around the explosion points, kicking up ash and looking around...as if trying to follow a trail. Once Andy spotted the figure he immediately recognized the person from the ceremony. "Hey!" Andy shouted, catching the figure's attention. "What are you doing out here?" The person did not answer, but did turn around to face the group. When the bandaged person did not answer Andy gestured to the destruction. "Did you do this?" " The Siren (First Movement to THE TRUTH)" The figure responded by quickly taking off, running away from the group and the castle, Andy scoffed. "That'll be a yes then," Andy took off running, leaving Jasmine's protective field and immediately trying to chase down the figure. Who moved at a speed Andy wasn't sure a person of that figure could move at, the figure slid under fallen trees and leaped over debris. Whoever it was clearly had some skill in terrain exploration. |

"Andy, WAIT!" Enzio yelled while running after him. The streets were chaos, people were badly wounded from the explosions. Streams and pleas for help filled the air but Enzio forced himself to ignore them.
He didn't like the way this was going. He was certain that this person was leading them right to where he pinpointed the attackers to be at, "Andy, I THINK WE'RE WALKING INTO A TRAP!" Enzio called after him.

"Enizo, just stay back some, I'll follow Andy, and make sure he doesn't due. Follow if you want to." Yeligar said, "Andy isn't one that can be trapped for long" . Yeligar casted a small spell, and a shield barrier covered his arm as he gave chase to Andy.

Kazan hoisted his Odachi up to his shoulder and looked over at Enzio, a big grin painted across his face despite the current situation. What could he say? He was a very difficult person to bring down from his good mood, hell, Duo himself could have come and punched him in the face and he'd still probably be smiling... Although, now that he thought about it... That might be cause to get serious...
"Oi, Lemon-face!" He called over to Enzio. "You wanted me to go with the Old Geezer, yeah?" He gave his fellow A.G a big thumbs up, before jostling his shoulder, causing Wareme to bump around in its sheath. Lowering the weapon, he let out a small grunt before tossing it up into the air, where it disappeared without so much as a sound. With that done, he set off after Yeligar shouting after him.
"OI! GEEZER-CHAN! WAIT UP!"

Jasmine was by no means surprised at the reckless Andy blitzing off in pursuit of the mysterious bandaged person, though it was still bothersome to her when she was in the middle of trying to provide aid to everyone. He was running off alone (even with the couple of others with him she'd consider him "alone" if she wasn't there) and where he could handle himself she was clearly emotionally attached to him enough that it bothered her to see him do it anyway.
And so even she ran after him. He was quickly lost by her as he ran so fast but it didn't stop her from trying to find him!

Eli Ventus and Juno took off as well, only to be passed by Leah who was neck and neck with Jasmine. Andy pursued the bandaged person for awhile until they got close to the town, the figure stopped running and Andy kept his distance.
"Answer me! Who are you?"
The figure turned to Andy and stared at him for the longest time, finally...the figure spoke.
"Why are you here...you of all people..."
Andy blinked, "What?"
The figure then snapped its fingers and suddenly a rain of fire came down, smashing into the earth and sending Andy backwards. He coughed for a moment and slowly stood up. There was so much ash kicked up he couldn't see where the bandaged person was.
"Okay that was-" he stopped, something moved in the ash cloud, he drew his sword and tracked the movements around him...and it a struck, a large, humanoid creature with blades on its arms swung at Andy. He blocked it, spun around the creature and sliced it in half. As it made a dying scream several more sounds were heard as the ash cloud faded, revealing several more monsters of the same shape.
"What the hell are these things..." Andy said, sword ready, when his eyes caught more movement from above...when he looked up he saw other flaming orbs come from the sky and crash down...into the town.
If these things were in the balls of fire that came down...then...the town...
"Oh god..."
...the figure watched Andy's revelation from the tower of the wall surrounding the town...

Bart stood in the town as he watch the rain start pouring down of fire from the sky. He simply chuckled at it, then he looked down and noticed a blonde hair, short, smiling bastard running this way.
"Oh Roxa, your emotions are getting the best of you. Time to finally finish you off." He said as he jumped into an alley way knowing that he would run by it and see him, however his face started to change, and then it took on the appearance of Alessia.
