The darkness they fell into was heavy, smothering and thick with death. It wasn't long until Mark lost consciousnesses, with the pressure being too great...
He thought this was the end, he thought that their mission was over and they'd all die a horrifying death by splatting straight into the floor... eventually.
What what he woke up to was different, he was lying face down in something heavy gravel that was deeply stained by blood. Mark quickly jumped up, with the sudden cheers calling down to him.
"Son of a bitch..." Mark cringed as he realized where they were - Hellious's very own Colosseum. He heard stories of this place, a place where never ending fights are forced on by demons wanting to watch souls fight over trivial things.
Mark was could spot Shanira who were lying down right next to each other, a little bit away from him was Brea, Zaria and Eli while a small distance away from them was Itami, Yeligar and Ramirez.
"Guys..." Mark hissed, as if him being quite was going to help, the roaring of the crowd was enough to wake anyone, "GUYS!"
Mark stepped away a little to his side before suddenly being stopped, there seemed to be some sort of barrier cutting the three groups off.
"Perfect..."
----
While the group faced an impending enemy things weren't looking too great for Zeke and Ingway, by now the Angel invaders were beginning to even up the fight, but for them? They faced to enormously powerful enemies.
"Show me your face, DUO!" The demon demanded, "Before I destroy this entire ship!"
It was puzzling why he was calling for Duo, but he seemed pretty serious that he planned on sinking the warship... which was their only ticket home.
Time to get moving, boys!

'I wonder if this is a pattern we'll be following...' Shanira thought to herself as the group fell through the caved floor, managing to find her way over to her falling sword and retrieve it as they plummeted deeper into Hellious. As they fell she vaguely remembered calling something out to Mark but he didn't respond, and she knew she had every intention of checking on him but she found her mind becoming clouded, dulling her own movements and then eventually her own vision disappeared...
"What is it?"
"It's a test, young ones. Take your daggers and go on."
She stood in Heaven, Felios's kingdom just outside of the 'beast pit' as they called it. It was a training ground frequently used for the young guardians, like herself, in training. Shanirat's eyes glanced over to the other two young guardians with her, the three of them around the same age and standing three feet tall, none of them really sure what was going to be happening.
That was when the gate opened and the large body of a four-legged, pig-like monster charged at the three girls. The one one Shanira's left instantly dropped the dagger and ran away screaming, "I don't want to do this!", the one on her right took a step back but forced her shaking self to stand still as she observed Shanira having not budged an inch as the creature got dangerously closer.
"Are you not scared?!" she said to Shanira. Shanira's eyes stayed locked on the charging beast as she answered very simply.
"No."
"Shanira, move!" one of the elders from the side shouted. The other girl bailed then. Shanira stayed where she was and waited for the beast to come closer, almost like she had purposely waited for that last second to roll out of its path. She heard the roar of a crowd around her, the suspense of the event rising...
And then her eyes burst open as Shanira awakened on the Colosseum floor by actually leaping onto her feet.
"What...what?!" she looked around, first noticing Mark a few ways away from her, and the others sprawled out in separate batches.
What was this?
"I'll take this time to admit that I'm actually not that familiar with Hellious and its many layers, sir,"she spoke as she continued to examine the area with her hand resting on the hilt of her sword, "so please excuse me as I request orders."
She started feeling something bother her, though. It was a twitch in her ear to start, so she shook her head a little and lightly squeezed the hilt of her sword. Even in the depths of Hellious, she could feel a discomfort back in Santo-Luce--Alexander was troubled by something.
'Let me figure this out first, Master. Please.' she thought. He wasn't in danger, he was upset. That was the defining line of 'do I stay or go?'. But even when he was upset, he affected Shanira. Maybe she could use it...

Yeligar grunted as he stood up. He rubbed his face to get some gravel off of him, and looked around. He spotted Mark and Shanira standing together. "Mark!" Yeligar said as he walked over to them, but he felt the barrier as he walked towards them. "Mark? Can you hear me?" He shouted to them.

"Ah..." Brea said, picking himself up off of the floor, and looking around at his surroundings. It seemed they were trapped... He didn't need to approach the barriers to see that they were there. Brushing the grit and gravel off of him legs, his hand wrapped around the hilt of his steel katana cautiously as he looked slowly this way and that, trying to find any way out of here. He was with Zaria and Eli, the Lunar Knight, so he felt relatively comfortable in knowing that he wasn't alone.
"It seems we're in quite the situation..." He muttered as he slowly drew out the long, slender blade. He held it to his side, as he rotated his back to the other two. "Make sure that you keep your eyes peeled... Cover each others backs... We don't have any idea what's going to happen or what we might be up against, so be prepared."

"We're stuck here," Mark said glancing back at Shanira, "They want us to fight..."
Yeligar caught Mark attention, Mark looked over at his ally and yelled back, "Watch your back Yeligar, something could strike at any moment!"
"Settle down everyone, settle down!" A demon roared from what looked like a booth sitting directly above them, "Despite there being a mass invasion into our realms, I don't see that as any point to halt the games! In fact, our latest contestants are the invaders themselves!"
The roars of the demons turned savage and ugly, with blood lust thick on all of their minds. "Even still, we have rules. If they all managed to succeed in their fights, they shall be rewarded what they wish for! The prize, our very own star prisoner: KAIN ANGELO!"
Two massive doors suddenly opened up on the groups level, letting them see a portal that was opened wide. "That portal right there will take you directly to the god, Odin, himself! What a prize!"
"Well, that solves the problem as to where he is..." Mark admitted as the doors closed themselves off.
"Now, would our challengers please come forward!"
Three large cages started to lower down into the Colosseum, they were spiked and painted in blood. They rattled as whatever were in them begin to try to break out, with the roars of the demons in the stands only making the creatures more and more violent.
"Watch out guys!" Mark warned as the cages touched the ground, "This is about to get really bad..."
The cages suddenly broke open. The one facing Mark revealed a to be a creature which resembled a human by how it held itself, although taller than the average human, its skin was completely covered in a iron like liquid.
While the one facing Yeligar was large, so very large. Its skin was a deep red, its thick and muscular body made it seem all that much fearsome - with a massive under bite that revealed hundreds of sharp jagged teeth as well as glowing yellow eyes that seeped a yellow, acid like liquid onto the ground.
Brea got what could best be described as a massive armored lizard, who was still chewing on a bone from its last fight. It actually had to be zapped by magic to get a move on out of the cage, but when it did, it was fast as it charged right at Brea, Eli and Zaria.

Zaria was in a daze. She couldn't tell where she was or what was happening really. At least for the first couple moments. Suddenly she snapped to, and pulled herself to her feet just in time to see the Lizard running at them. She leapt out of the way and reached for her water container....which was empty. Her eyes widened. What had happened last?
She then recalled the last fight, when everything had caved in. Of course... the water would have fallen right out from her hands since she had blacked out and was no longer controlling it. Well that's just fantastic... She thought. Unless another source of liquid was in the vicinity, all she had was her sword.

"Oh what fun. Every person's dream is to be in a coliseum in Hellious." Yeligar said as he switched blades to the white blade. The air around his part of the arena was getting colder. "Itami. Ramirez. Are you awake?" He asked as he calmly walked towards them to make sure that he can be a shield if they needed it.

"Yes, yes they really are," Romulus quipped with a sudden appearance beside the two, all to factually stating the strictly...utilitarian nature of the crew. "and that, my dear chaps, is why you gentleman need to get those rears in gear and get up to the main deck to defend this boat, lest it be smashed to splinters and you and your crew forever trapped in this godforsaken realm!" Stated the silver-haired man with a little too much enthusiasm.
"So, motivated yet? That was rhetorically by the way, I know you guys are. Oh, and don't be afraid to just kinda let loose, ya know, like, really let loose. I mean...like, REALLY let loose, ya know what I'm saying...yeah, you definitely know," Romulus babbled one, constantly giving Zeke a very obvious combinations of winks and nudges, hinting to the young man about as subtly as a plank of wood upside the head.
"Anyway, fight the good fight, and so on and so forth. To arms, good sirs!" The eccentric man concluded, giving a quick salute to the two young men before disappearing with a space warping blink. Appearing outside of the boat this time, Romulus performed a few stretches as he hovered high above the ship, the mechanical contraption strapped upon his arm began to hum and whir as a steely determination shone forth in the man's eyes.
Holding his hand out, he quickly made several alterations to the surrounding area to better cater to the young men. First, Romulus knew the ship was a necessity, at least for now, and had to stay. With the powers of his Alternator, the woods carbon molecules chained such that they possessed the durability of diamond, making the ship quite presumably safe. Second, Ingway and Zeke needed to do this themselves, as as such, no intruders permitted, be they angels or demons. As such, Romulus designed an impenetrable gravitational field, designed so any would be intruders would have the feeling that maybe they might be able to push past it...but never quite letting them break through.
It was a good start, and all that was needed was for Zeke and Ingway to come pop their heads up and do what they needed to do, as Romulus waited and watched, all to excited to see they pair in action.

Shanira took position beside Mark as the cage lowered and the humanoid creature stepped out. She blinked, noting the odd look of its skin and almost put off that this was a thing they were expected to fight. It gave off the appearance, to her, of being too easy. Too conveniently easy...
The angelic guardian put no more thought into it as her sword was pulled and she stared down their opponent.
"Fight? I think I could do that, " she said, cocky grin and eager enough to see what this beast could do she charged at it, no hesitation from the girl to slash and stab away at it at all.

"Well, well, well..." Brea muttered as the beast made a charge towards them. He raised up his blade and side-stepped to the lift, giving a swift strike towards the creatures ankle, hoping to sever a tendon and bring it down to their level, literally. To his own surprise, the blade barely bit into the reptile's skin, and his sword seemingly just bounced off. He cursed inwardly and retreated backwards slightly whilst he tried to think of a fair strategy in how to combat this creature, his mind working in overdrive.
"Now then... What shall we do about you..?" He murmured, eyes narrowing in thought.

It seemed like Shanira's sword pierced straight into the iron demon, so it took a moment to realize that her sword was actually being swallowed by the iron. The Demon looked down at Shanira, its faced unchanged by the entire situation.
"Shanira, move!" Mark yelled before blasting light magics at it. The Demon moved to the side swiftly, dodging the light blasts before retaliating: it held out both of its arm, sending out a massive spikes of solid metal at the group.
The lizard had the advantage and it knew it, it was mocking its prey by walking around the group while making a steady sound of hissing. The lizard, which had been chewing on the bone still, took the large bone (looked like half a hip or something) out of its mouth and held it so that the thick and wide part was like a weapon. It rushed back at Brea before leaping into the air and landing on the other side of him, aiming to bash Zaria over the head.
And while that happened the giant demon started to get to work as well. It leaned down a bit, showing that it was clearly about to attack, before rushing at the group, causing a large tremor that echoed throughout the entire battlefield. But worse for Yeligar and the others, was the fact that the ground around them began to split, making the already small battlefield even smaller.
The large demon than raised its large paws and struck down at them, looking to turn them all into a pile of smashed bones in one swipe.

Startled and taken aback by the strange silver-haired man, I could only look on at him and his strange, and somewhat inane ramblings before he disappeared with a haste similar to his appearance. Suddenly realizing what the strange fellow claimed, I ran past Zeke up to the main deck, quickly gaining sight of the massive creature and his relatively minuscule rider that slowly lurched closer and closer to our ship.
Hoping to avoid any possible conflict if necessary, I figured I would retaliate to their shouts and threats with my most powerful weapon; diplomacy.
"Gentleman, gentlemen, there's no need for such hostility. My companion and I were led here under false pretences, and have no interest in any such altercation with you or your kind. If possible, I would like to settle this peacefully, and without anymore bloodshed then has already happened today in this unfortunate event."
I was unsure of just how the realm of Hellious and it inhabitants would react to my silver-tongued attempt to assuage their hostility, but a feeling in the pit my stomach was telling me that I'd have no such luck with my attempts at pacifism.

"That's not Duo..." The demon hissed before looking up at his very large friend, "...Kill him."
All of Ingway's words seemed to fly right past the demon, who didn't seem interested in talking. He thought Duo was with them and for human to try and interrupt his attempt at speaking to him? Disgusting!
The giant demon did as it was told, it dug its hands into the ground, growling deeply as it pulled before pulling out a large piece of rock and throwing it straight at Ingway.

Seeing the massive chunk of earth fly towards me was a bit of a shock, but nothing I hadn't dealt with before. With several practiced hand motions, a glyph tagged the giant rock, displacing it from existence before it could get too close to myself or the ship. It would appear that my mellifluous words would do no good here, and that I would have to pacify our aggressors the old fashioned way.
Hoping off the ship with a spirited leap, I dashed towards the hulking beast, doing the occasional flip so that I might lay down several arcade blades from my trusty gauntlets and not loose pace. Getting close to the creature and his rider, as close as I cared to be anyway, I gestured wildly with my hands, letting Legion work it's magic as my arcane blades came to life, following my orders and suddenly appearing around the brutish mount before aiming to sink themselves into it's hulking body.
Perhaps one of my other implements would've been better for ending the fight quickly, but Legion would allow me to do no physical harm to the denizens of Hellious, but still pacify them. It was the best I could do, and I only hoped that I could manage to subdue the creature along side Zeke, and prevent any damage from coming to our one ride home, or my ally.

"Ice trail!" Yeligar shouted as he stuck his lance into the ground. Many massive ice spikes shot up from the frosted ground, and acted as brace to stop the demon from crushing them. "If you two are conscious, could you move please?" Yeligar asked as more ice were shot up into the hand to support the other ice.
