((so far this has Vincent, Jasmine and an NPC in it =p I will take whoever else wants to get involved though!))
This was definitely something that Vincent hadn't seen happening, and his surprises for the day weren't even over yet (little did he know).
He stared up at the very large house which was now in his possession (kind of). It wasn't nearly as large as the one he grew up in, coincidentally only blocks away from where this one was positioned, but it was big enough.
For...only him and Jasmine. Who probably would never be home to really use it. This thought alone made Vincent chuckle, why the hell did he do this?
"What do you think, pumpkin?" he asked, turning to Jasmine staring up at the house as well.

Jasmine blinked and didn't even try to make sense of what was going in her father's head when he bought the house.
"...It's...big, Papa," she said and looked over the gardens, "...why do we need a house again?"
Those gardens were so nice looking though. Good place to grow her own plants and use in medicines...

"Because sometimes I'd like to pretend I have a normal family life," Vincent pouted and crossed his arms. Dammit this didn't make sense at all, but it was a comfort that he strongly wanted. When Hala was alive he at least had a home to go to.
He was missing her again. It was almost insane just how much so sometimes.
Shaking the thoughts from his head he quickly threw in, "Do you like it, though?"

Jasmine shrugged. She honestly hadn't really thought of having a new home so early, especially if they weren't going to be around much to use it with the war against the Sumata going on.
"I'm not sure. It looks nice and I'm sure I could get used to it but...I don't know quite yet," she smiled up at him, trying to reassure him that she really was appreciating that he was thinking of them. She looked back at the house and frowned, though.
"It'll just be different, I think. It's nice, it's big, but it's just us. We'll come home and it'll be the very same way we left it instead of..."
She left her sentence at that. They were both thinking of Hala, someone to be there to look after it and have dinner ready, someone always cleaning and happy to see them come home.

Vincent sighed.
"Yeah..."
He really didn't want to think about it. He was over it now he was sure. Though at times it did still bother him to think about Hala and realize, again, she wasn't there and she never would be.
Vincent shook his head and motioned Jasmine towards the house.
"Go take a look for yourself. I already know what the place looks like inside and out, I bought it. I want you to be happy with it, though. Go decide what is yours and what is not."

Jasmine saw how impatient Vincent was growing and sighed, slowly stepping towards the house. Two-storey, a garden in the front. Pillars on a small porch just before the large, black door that was missing a knocker.
She stepped inside and took a glance around. It was empty right now, but very bright. Straight ahead there was a very large living room and to the left she figured the kitchen. The stairs were ahead, too. Jasmine let herself immediately get carried away with exploring the bottom floor of the house, noticing the even larger garden out in the back that she thought she should perhaps check out before even heading upstairs.

Yeligar was inside Vincent's large new manor, and was fast asleep in the garden. Vincent told him that he had a rabbit apple tree. A tree that produce apples twice a month, and they they are delicious. Yeligar had some earlier that day, and he gotten really tired after a stomach full of the apples, and fell asleep.

Jasmine stepped outside into the garden, noting that it was in need of care but that was something she could look after (she couldn't really see her father doing it, anyway). As much as she hated doing it, she was already in the process of scanning the whole land and making mental notes to herself where what plants would go, where she would plant her herbs and everything.
It'd be almost like the garden she and her mother had...except it was going to be just her looking after it from now on.
"I don't know how this is going to even work, we're not home enough for any of this..." Jasmine sadly muttered to herself. She'd give it a try anyway, there had to be something that would make it all work out, she was sure.
The apple tree caught her eye and her eyes widened in awe. It stood very tall and strong and produced what seemed to be very good fruit. She walked towards it with the intention of examining it further, but the large figure that sat on the other side of the tree startled her. Jasmine jumped backwards and shrieked, composing herself almost immediately afterward as she realized that the man in question was actually someone she knew.
"M-mr. Yeligar?" she blinked, "what are you doing out here?"

Vincent smiled as he watched Jasmine take off into the house. He really hoped that this was going to be something she'd enjoy. He wanted them to be as much of a family again as possible, even if it wasn't going to be exactly the same as it was before... "You are here! I thought you were lying about that, too!" Wait, what the hell was that? Vincent knew the voice was familiar just as it was girlie...uhoh. He hesitated a moment before slowly turning towards the source of the voice. Behind him stood a shorter girl in a blue dress, brown curling hair pulled back in a small blue ribbon. She was very familiar-looking, but he couldn't quite remember where he'd seen her before.... He smiled regardless and answered her with, "Of course I'm here, why wouldn't I be? How are you, anyway uh....mmm....Marsha?" The girl's eyes narrowed as she suddenly spat, " Melanie!" Vincent cringed. This was going well already. It wasn't often that he'd seen a girl again after he'd met her once...for one night...but when it did he usually could play it better than this. ...Oh god, maybe he really was getting too old for this, he was so out of practice. "Sorry, I've been busy, alright? What are you even doing out here anyway, I thought you lived...uh...elsewhere," he answered and she crossed her arms, disbelief showing in her eyes. "I came from Unda looking for you because you took off too quick, telling me you'd come back. You lied to me and I don't appreciate liars," Melanie growled. Vincent sighed, suddenly remembering now who she was. "I didn't lie, I said I'd come back when work was over! I'm still working!" he spat defensively, "war doesn't just, you know, go away in a day! And if I'd died, what the hell would you have done? Gone all around Allorum for what? Some dead guy for the rest of your life? What the hell is the matter with you, girl?!" This was going wonderfully...

Yeligar opened his eye and shot straight up. "Augh! I was suppose to be gone." He said as he grabbed what he was a cigar and put it in his mouth, and lit it. Turned out to be an apple core, and he spitted it out. "So... how are you Jasmine? How do you like the house?"

Jasmine watched as Yeligar fumbled...very badly. Maybe he was drunk...
"Um..." she tilted her head to the side as she spoke, "it doesn't look too bad so far...are you okay, though?"

Vincent entered the house and the young lady followed. He sighed half aggravatedly, though more out of disbelief at the situation.
"You left your village?" he asked slowly, again for the third time. She nodded and toed at the floor.
"Why the hell would you do something like that?! Stupid! You know what kind of people are out there and what they'll do to you?! What the hell is the matter with you, even my own daughter doesn't do something that outrageously stupid!" Vincent scolded, though feeling slightly guilty for it afterward as Melanie cringed. She clearly already knew that taking off on her own from her family and friends was wrong, especially in dark times like this. He sighed again and lowered his voice.
"I'm sorry. And really, I'm...touched that you felt the need to seek me out but little girl, I'm not really the kind of guy you should be looking into. For the record, I'm not as young as I said I was," he hated to say it, but...
"I know that. It was obvious," she replied and Vincent choked, an appalled look on his face.
"Whadda ya mean it was obvious?!" he spat. She giggled.
"I-I don't care how old you are, though. All I care about is how sweet you are and how brave and how much I want to help your poor heart recover from the hell it's endured," she twiddled her fingers as she spoke, then looked up at him with a cute smile, "I rather find an older man charming. More powerful than the young boys today."
Vincent's attention was perked again. She actually had a thing for older men? WHOA wait a minute, she was like...Jasmine's age. No way. But she was adorable. And pretty hot once you got her out of the dress, speaking of which that dress really did compliment those curves...get your thoughts back with the program, Vincent.
"Well, I...that's...really?" he blinked. She nodded enthusiastically.
Come on, what was he supposed to say now? No? Go home? WHAT home? Her village had to move, she had no clue where they'd gone now. And look at that, it was sad his wife died but after several months it was probably time he did start seeing other women again and get over her. And what kind of 40-ish year-old guy practically just gets handed a 20-ish year-old girl who wants to be with him?
"I-I really do like you, though," Melanie said, breaking Vincent from his thoughts. She looked almost uneasy, noticing he seemed to have become dazed. Vincent stared at her for a long moment before he smiled widely and approached her.
"...You know, I think I really like you, too," he answered, putting his arms around her waist and pulling her in close. She giggled and threw her arms around his neck.
It was totally only in a matter of minutes that Vincent forgot about Jasmine wandering the grounds, diving into a heavy make-out session with the young girl in the empty living room.

"Yea, but rabbit apples always make me tired if I eat too many." He chuckled, "It is a really nice house, I say. I wish I could afford something like this."

Jasmine frowned slightly as she stole a glance back at the house.
"I'm a little curious as to how Papa could have afforded something like this. He's full of a lot of surprises, isn't he?" she turned her attention back to Yeligar, whom of which she felt confident in having some kind of odd stories of her father. She at least figured he had a pretty good idea of what Vincent was capable of.
"I really do enjoy this garden already," she added, looking around, "...it'll be something I can do a lot with. It'll be nice. You'll come visit, right?"

"Yea, but sadly you don't know your father as well as I do." Yeligar said, as he sat up so Jasmine could sit, "Vincent is always full of surprises, in citizen life, war life, and lo- err dating life." He rubbed his neck, and continued his talk, "I have a hunch how he was able to afford this, but if he hasn't told you it, it isn't my place to do it. And yes, every time I am Ingis, I will come and visit. So, how is everything with you? I haven't talked to any of my comrades in a while."
