Jasmine's gaze turned quickly to Bastien, his sudden (and eerily unnoticed) presence startling her. She looked him over before her head turned back towards Vincent, bitterness taking over her looks and voice again as she spoke to him.
"Is he someone else I should know about?"

"Bastien," Vincent greeted with a nod and smiled at Jasmine.
"I guess. I'm doing a few odd jobs for him at the moment, so you'll probably see him a little more frequently. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about that either, if that's what you're looking for," he almost sounded sorry, though it was clearly obvious Vincent was becoming slowly a little more annoyed with Jasmine and her weird need to be difficult right now. Really.

Bastien kept his smile as he looked over Jasmine. Young girl, similar facial features as Vincent. They had the same glare, he almost had to fight away laughter when he saw it. She wasn't dressed like a typical girl. She wore robes, something spiritual or sorcerer-like.
"I really do apologize for the sudden meeting. The daughter, right?" his eyebrow raised as he spoke to Jasmine, his voice full of more confidence in his assumption rather than it being an actual question.

Jasmine turned her attention back to Bastien and stared at him for a long period of time, as though she were trying to read him. At the same time he appeared to be doing the same thing with her. It was creepy.
"That depends. Who are you?" she calmly asked, trying to keep a polite air despite her being cautious.

Almost immediately Bastien bowed politely before the blonde girl in response to her.
"Bastien Venice, little lady. I'm a man who works for some bigger man who all works for an even bigger man beyond that; my job is to collect information and complete whatever job comes my way--as it turns out, your famous father here is a worthy man to have as part of a project I'm currently working on. He's agreed to help me and I assure you, it'll help you and your family," it was a lot to spew out in such a little amount of time but Bastien was definintely the kind of person to get to the point.
Usually, anyway.
"Now, who are you, dear? Just like your father, don't like giving the small details. What's with the hilarious get-up you wear?"

Jasmine couldn't hide the resentful look she gave Bastien at the mention of her 'hilarious get-up'. Even as she tried to be polite yet it leaked through the tone in her voice in small amounts.
"Jasmine Loque, yes, I am his daughter. I'm also a mage, sir, who wears this traditional outfit just like others in my field."

He smiled.
"Excellent. Well, Jasmine, despite our rough introduction here I do hope you and I can become good enough acquaintances," his attention then turned to Yeligar and then the other young lady in the room. He nodded politely at them and added, "Sir. Miss."

Melanie smiled politely and waved at Bastien. Vincent looked between them, almost forgetting the little 'party' of people here--what a welcoming party, anyway.
"Uh...yeah, Bastien. This would be my uh, girlfriend, Mel. Mel, Mr. Venice as you've heard."
He turned his gaze to Jasmine, she didn't seem too happy with anything right now, Melanie or Bastien. It was awkward, he'd have to have another talk with her afterward...or...something. Geez it was hard looking after a teenager.
