Jasmine raised an eyebrow at Yeligar.
"Oh really? Then it's something I'm going to have to pry out of Papa sometime," she folded her arms and smiled politely, "things have been alright otherwise...some things a little confusing, even. Alright overall. Still hoping this war will end soon as always. What about you, Mr. Yeligar?"

"Please, just call me Yeligar. Better than what you used to call me." He chuckled, as he thought back the years, "But, I have been good, trying to keep the forces at bay, and getting my cigars and such before anything major happened. Oh, I am not sure if I asked you yet, but how have you been dealing with Hala's death?"

Jasmine was confused at first, as far as she knew she'd always called Yeligar "Mr. Yeligar"...which she did, she'd only known him for the past year. ...Right? This was confusing.
Her facial features hardened the moment Yeligar brought up Hala. It'd been months since her mother was killed and she kept trying to push it to the back of her mind almost as though it hadn't happened. She wanted to think somehow that her mother had had a peaceful death, something that happened long ago. That wasn't the case at all, though since becoming a more active servant to the Crepusculum gods Jasmine had found she could still keep communication with her mother even though she was physically gone...it was a wonderful thing, if not a very sad one all the same.
She was at least happy she had that than nothing at all like most people would.
"I tend to not think of it so much," Jasmine finally answered Yeligar, "...I wouldn't bring it up around Papa, though. He seems a little shaken yet, even though he's acting like he's fine. Lately his spontaneous actions just give me the idea he's trying to find ways to forget himself, though don't tell him I said that."
Jasmine's eyes darted off towards the house again. She didn't know her father as well as she'd like to, though even for the short period of time she had began to know him in the past year was enough for her to know that he was...different without Hala around.

"Yea, Vincent and I already talked about it, and that was awkward night at the bar..." Yeligar said as he started to think about that night he wanted to forget, "Hopefully this will help you and your father get closer."

"I should think so but we'll see what happens," Jasmine answered, folding her hands in front of her, "did you want to step inside at all? We don't really have very much in the house at the moment but I can still get a pot of tea on if you're interested."

"No, no. I honestly should have been gone." He got up and dusted himself off. He picked up his lance and put it away. He straightened out his shirt, and rubbed his hand through his hair. "It was nice seeing you again."

Jasmine was surprisingly quick to follow him.
"Are you sure? I'm sure Papa would be happy to see you, though."
She wasn't going to keep arguing with him if he really wanted to leave, though she felt she should at least try to be a...pushy-kind-of-polite...it was something her mother used to do anyway, though clearly better than Jasmine.

"Well, I guess I can. I don't think he will get mad at me for me staying here a little longer than I planned to stay." He said, as he started to walk towards the kitchen, "...It is this way, right?"

((READY FOR THIS?!?! BEST SCENE EVER))
Jasmine nodded, smiling and taking off towards the house. She stepped ahead of Yeligar to try to lead him inside (though it wasn't much of her leading as she really didn't know the floorplan of the house herself quite yet).
She grabbed the knob, opened the door and then stopped as her eyes shot wide open.
There was her father in the room, locked lips with quite a very young girl while his hand firmly 'explored' her chest area.
"GAH!!" Jasmine cried out, instantly backing up and right into Yeligar. She pushed her way around him and ran back outside into the garden.

Jasmine's sudden cry spooked Vincent as he immediately let go of Melanie and backed off something like five feet away from her.
"I-I-WHOA holy crap I forgot...ARGH!" he sputtered, unable to really find the words in such a short amount of time to really...explain any of this.
Melanie looked just as mortified as he did, her glance turning towards the door and she seemed to freeze where she was. Vincent stared blankly at Yeligar in the doorway.
"......Uh...HEY, Yeligar...what brings you here?" he half-chuckled, trying to smooth things over with him first.

"...Umm, I was going... " Yeligar tried to think of something, BESIDE that night in the Crepusculum town of Sandeam. He then recognized the woman from Unda, when he and Vincent saved that village ."Hello, Ma'am. I don't think I caught your name from Unda. I am Yeligar Maelstrom."

Vincent gave Yeligar a confused look as he answered, "What do you mean you were 'going'? Why were you even here to begin with?"
He looked out the window and figured you know what, this could wait until after. He shook his head suddenly and headed for the door.
"Actually, hold those thoughts. I've gotta go do some damage control first," he threw in on his way across the room. Melanie made to follow him but he shooed her off.
The girl surprisingly became quite shy, lowering her head and toeing at the floor like she'd done earlier. She peeked her head up at Yeligar as Vincent left.
"M-Melanie Hephern," she answered Yeligar's question quietly, "I remember you from the village..."

"Yep, I was with Vincent. Fighting off those soldiers." He said, as he looked around, and saw a chair. "Would you like a seat?" He offered it to her, being the gentleman that he is.

Jasmine had taken off not too far. She'd sprinted off to the tree out in the backyard and stayed here, mortified by what she'd just seen. She looked around the tree only to see Vincent come out looking for her, just as she'd figured he probably would.
She stepped out from behind the tree immediately and said with a serious, half-scolding tone, "Papa."

Melanie hesitated for a moment before she stepped towards Yeligar, politely taking the seat that he had offered.
"He says he has been busy with work. You both probably have a lot to do, don't you?" she relaxed a little, trying to get some conversation going between them.
Vincent, outside, sighed the moment Jasmine came to confront him.
"I'm sorry you saw that, Jasmine. I'm even more sorry that I hadn't said anything about her to begin with," he started, realizing how really bad he was sounding, "...wait...it's confusing. I met her, she seemed nice, and I told her I'd probably come to see her after this war was all over and dealt with. I didn't expect her to show up here and I didn't expect you to have to meet her so soon and like this."
