Akuma stepped forwards looking across at his opponent, a shaking young boy who had recently joined the guards "Akuma, go easy on the kid!" someone yelled from the sidelines. This was a form of cannonising, the kid had passed all the exam's and tests but this was one of respect and honour, if he did well (the chances of victory were slim, Akuma was unbeaten) then he would have the respect of most of the guard, and if he did not do well? Then he would spend a few weeks as a no named grunt with few friends, he would have to earn friends.
Akuma had removed his gauntlets so that he did not kill the boy, moving forwards slowly he held his arms at his side "First strike boy" He said quietly, his mouth hidden by the necktie. The young knight obliged and sent a fist towards Akuma's face, the blow was grabbed in Shuen's fist "You need to be faster..." He muttered tightening his grip on the hand forcing the boy onto one knee, kicking him in the chest he released his fist sending him backwards slightly "Try again"
The boy rushed him and sent a knee into his gut before drawing his fist up into an uppercut which forced Akuma to take a step back, Akauma simply took a deep breath and controlled himself "Good work" He said taking a step forward and holding out his hands, the boy eagerly took the hand with a smile only to be pulled forward into his knee, doubling over in pain the young knight writhed on the floor groaning "He's through..." Akuma said moving towards the edge of the ring.

"Oh, what a delightful match that was." A man in a cloak said. He had a cup of something, and he drank it, before said anything else, "It is amazing to see the Knight of the Night fight with such grace." He lean over, and looked at him, as he was on his chair.

"Ludro Gamblington" Akuma said picking up the large Broadsword which he had rested on the floor and making it seemlessly dissapear into thin air "I have heard many things about you sir" He said turning to face the man "Things such as you have certain... 'Powers' or something similar" He crossed his arms

He grinned, and sipped his drink. "Perhaps, perhaps not. I feel like this should be a game..." He said, "Is there anyone else you want to fight? Besides me."

"These fights are really only for 'training' the new Nerezzian guards..." He said sighing "But as for who else I would wish to fight? Well there are many people who I would wish to fight simply so I can be beaten by them yet know how they fight" He crossed his arms again "mainly some of the more famous heroes, Andy Jammer or Yeligar people like that, although I think it would be interesting to spar with Lady Elexa" He smiled inwardly, that was the fight he aspired to take part in.
"But as for you Sir?" He frowned slightly "I believe you would be an interesting opponent in deed, we would see who wins wouldn't we? The gambler of time or the Knight of Night"

A cloaked woman, young by the looks of it, eyes hidden and plain to look at, leaned against a wall, watching.
"It would indeed be an interesting match," she said, sounding interested. Flicking a look at Ludro that told him to keep his mouth shut, she turned her eyes to the battlefield.

Akuma simply nodded at the cloaked woman and then turned to Ludro "There you have it sir" He said his broadsword appearing in a flicker of shadow's in his hand "Would you rather fight with or without weapons?" He asked, the weapon curling around his wrist as if tailor made for him.

Ludro had an odd look. He was grinning but he looked like he was in pain. "O-of course." He said as he walked to the field. He had his kusarigamas out and he twisted his wrists. "Let's get this started."

Akuma took his place in the small circle of dirt and held the broadsword at a 45 degree angle so that it faced the floor between himself and Ludro "I first ask that you do not underestimate me" He said, his voice calm even though he was facing a no doubt powerful opponent "Simply because I am a member of the guard"

"Where is the fun in that?" He said, as he started to twirl his weapons, "I like to bet low, then build up the pot."He fling on at him.

Akuma casually dodged the weapon as if it were nothing "I would not put all of your money on one guess sir..." He said moving back to his original position

"Well, when I can guarantee the win, then why not make some money?" He said as he fired the other one at him. As he fired the other one, he pulled the other chain back.

Akuma dodged the second weapon whilst grabbing at the first chain "Because who can guarentee you are going to win? victory is never one hundred per cent certain"
