"...said she, 'the sea as far as we see, as lovely as it can be, in peace and harmony...'"
Jasmine continued to softly sing the odd song as the shimmering lake of Crepusculum slowly came into view up ahead. She pushed on, tired and sore from carrying Andy about, but she was more than happy to do whatever needed to be done for him. His body looked in normal condition, except for a light glow that seemed to outline him--where his exterior had healed quickly, the medicines and herbs she used for his insides were frantically piecing themselves together and had been at work for a long while.
However weary, she continued singing as the trip was just too quiet without it.
Further ways up somewhere around the lake, the little home that she grew up in started creeping its own view in. She could stop in, check on Andy, replenish any of her own supplies, chat with her mother (a sage herself), pick up a spellbook or two, and they could all be on their way again.

"Unnnnnnnnnnn," a moan came from Andy's direction, followed by a swear, and then Andy sitting upright, "Kara! Jas!"
He looked around and realized he was dreaming, he was going to go back to sleep when he heard singing. Curious, he slowly got up and inched his way to the sound and found himself surprised.
"Jas?"

Since she had dropped Andy off inside the house, Jasmine had been wandering in and out taking care of whatever she could help her mother with. She was just getting ready to head out the door again when she heard Andy. Her singing abrubtly stopped and she whipped herself around to face him, almost a little shocked herself.
"A-andy! You're up and about again!" she said, taking a few steps toward him, "how are you feeling, anyway? Is the pain gone at all?"

"Um...I guess." He frowned, looking around him. "Where...where are we?"

"Oh, well, we're in the kingdom of Crepusculum at the moment--at my mother's house," Jasmine glanced around the small home where there were shelves upon shelves of books and oddly smelling things in jars and bottles, "someone had come to help us in Ignis, and I took you and ran--this was the first place I could think of coming to. My mother 'graded' the work I did on you to make sure everything was in place and that you were healing properly...I'm sorry to say, I've never had to race death before, it was nerve-racking."
She folded her hands together and smiled widely for him, even though now she seemed to be fighting back tears. "Doesn't help with a sword being pointed at your neck, either. But even when you were down, you were absolutely astounding, Andy. Though at the time, I wasn't worried about anything but you; you really scared me, there."

Andy frowned and made tried to absorb what she said: Okay, Crepusculum Kingdom, she healed me, and she and Kara-
"Kara! What happened to Kara!?" Andy asked, "That Zelos guy was after her!"

"Shh!" Jasmine tried to keep him calm, "she's okay, Andy. She's more than alright, she helped you and I get away, and then caught up with me afterward and I took us here. I think she's outside right now."
Jasmine stole a look around the room again real quickly, almost like she was making sure that no one else was coming in right away before she looked at Andy and asked, "Might if I ask you something? Like...how did you learn to do...uh...that?"
She figured she'd try to find out as much from him as she could right now, remembering that after Andy had attacked this Zelos man, he seemed quite...interested in him. What was it that made Andy so interesting to him, and why on earth was he being referred to as a "Griever"?

"Huh? Learn to do what...?" Andy asked, then his memory flashed back to the fight with Lana, and how he defeated her.
"Oh...that," he frowned, "I don't know, it...I felt the name of that power come to my mouth and I felt my body react to it."
He thought back to that moment when he was fighting Lana, during the whole battle he felt a power deep inside of him. And during it he felt like...something was calling him, calling his name. By what...what could be doing that?
"Damnit," Andy swore, "What the hell is going on here... what's going on with me?"

Jasmine's eyes widened as Andy spoke. He had performed some things that were absolutely amazing in Ignis, yet he had no clue what exactly they were or why he did them. Could this have possibly been what that man, Yeligar, had told her about? Was this his "true power" that he had mentioned, the thing that could potentially hurt him if he didn't learn to control and use it?
She slowly reached out and lightly touched his arm and asked, "How did that power feel? Do you feel alright right now, even just thinking about it?"

He jumped at the touch of her hand but recalled that moment fighting Lana, and how he felt now.
"It felt good, I mean I'm tired now, but it felt good."
Then a voice rang out, "That's very interesting."
Andy looked at the doorway and saw a man wearing a black kimino, a green and white striped hat, blonde shaggy hair poked out from underneath it, and he was wearing wood clogs.
"Who the hell are you?" Andy demanded, trying to stay still and not hurt himself.
"Me? Oh, I'm Kevin. Kevin Uruhane," the man introduced.
"I was having tea with Mrs. Louqe, your mother," he gestured to Jasmine, "When I overheard you two talking, so, you're Andy Jammer right? Yeligar's warrior?"
"How...how do you...?" Andy questioned.
Kevin sipped a cup of tea and sighed, "Cause I listen, that's how. Now, you summoned a power you cannot control right? Now, Ms. Louqe, have you seen him use a similar power before?"

Jasmine stared at Kevin for a long while, and without letting go of Andy's arm or even saying anything, she slowly shook her head at him.
"I...don't believe I've seen...why? What is it that interests you so much about it, sir?" she finally asked, giving him a cautionary look-over despite the fact that he was just visiting with her mother.

"Because he's fascinating to the Sumata," Kevin chuckled, "But honestly, I cannot allow someone to walk around with powers uncontrollable, it's bad for them."
"Yeah?" Andy scoffed, "And what do you want?"
Kevin took a long sip of tea and answered, "Train you to control your powers."

Jasmine gasped and tightened her grip on Andy's arm. Then, because she gripped his arm like she did, she remembered she was still holding onto it and quickly let it go.
"Yes! That man...I thought he seemed only a little too thrilled that Andy had attacked him..." she looked at Andy worriedly, remembering that twisted smile on Zelos' face, "...he called you 'Griever'. What or who is that?"
"Kevin hon, did you want a refill at all?" another voice called from the opposite end of the room. Standing in the doorway was a woman with very weary blue eyes, long blonde hair that was held back in a large, loose bun, her face was calm and just beginning to be touched with slight wrinkles, and she was adorned with a long, white robe similar to Jasmine's. As she stepped into the room with a teapot she looked at Andy and laughed.
"Oh, Jasmine, your little boyfriend's woken up," she said through her laughter and Jasmine retorted with a very sharp, "MOTHER!"
The woman tilted her head to the side when she was finished laughing and said to Andy, "I'm sorry for that. I'm Hala Loque, Jasmine's mother. I had looked out onto my front porch and saw that coming from awhile away my daughter was hauling a young man over her shoulders and I couldn't help but laugh, thinking she had clubbed herself a husband and brought him home. We got a bit more serious when I found out you were a man barely alive and she was determined to save you."

Andy raised an eyebrow and Kevin just laughed.
"I always loved this family," Kevin chuckled, "They're so fun, yes ma'am, a refill would be nice."
Andy stayed in silence for a few minutes before glancing at Jasmine, "You said he called me something... he called me Griever?"
Kevin, in the middle of receiving more tea, suddenly had a sharp look on his face. He angled himself to look at Andy, an odd expression appeared before he returned his usual grin.
"Griever... interesting." Kevin smirked.

Jasmine frowned at Kevin and said, "You're encouraging her, you know." Hala merely shook her head at Jasmine and refilled Kevin's cup, giggling more as she said, "Jasmine, honey, you really have no idea how fun and easy it is to work you up."
Jasmine tried ignoring her mother by directing her attention toward Andy, sighing as she said, "Yes, he called you 'Griever'. You don't know anything about it, or have any idea what at all he meant by it?"
When she heard Kevin speak, though, she whipped her head in his direction, a hard look on her face as she snapped, "What's so interesting about it?" Hala had gone around behind Kevin and gave Jasmine a warning look--you just don't use that kind of tone towards a guest!
