He pauses for a moment, as if contemplating something and then suddenly bends over, holding his sides as he starts laughing. Slowly returning up right, his laugh, becomes a chortle as he wipes a tear from one of his eyes.
"Oh, that's rich. A prophet, named Profeta. How long did it take you to come up with that clever bit of wordplay? Or wait, maybe you foresaw such a brilliant title in the stars," he says accentuating the last few words with gestures and a mocking tone. "So tell me, Profeta, what say you toss your chicken bones, read my palm or flip some tarot cards, stop wasting my time, and answer my question already, cause if you plan to try and keep my attention with further tales of your cons and ploys, then just stop. As a man of science I have better things to do with my time than waste it on superstitious nonsense and magical falsehoods. Now, once more, where am I?"
Romulus was beginning to grow tired of dealing with this woman, something that wasn't par for the course for a patient man like himself. Tapping his foot with his arms now folded, he stares at Profeta with a look of due impatience and mild contempt.

Michael nodded at Miri's words, there seemed to be a satisfied exchange as he turned around...and walked away from her.
"Santa Luce huh." he said as he vanished from the spot. No doubt using his ability to shift dimensions.

"Where do you think Prophet came from? I am from heavens." She said, "You are in the kingdom of Crepusculum, near the Santo-Luce border. We both have the same goal; to take down Trucido Damnedblood. Why don't you join us?" she walked away, towards the cave.

"Hey, ass****," Lana finally spoke up since the dealings with Mark, turning her attention to this 'man of science' who seemingly appeared out of nowhere. It was bad enough that Mark had just caused trouble with Profeta, they seriously didn't need another one. Not now.
"If you don't watch that mouth of yours, you're going to be attached to my fist. Got it?" she'd kept her arms crossed, narrowing her eyes at him as she spoke, "now do as you said you were going to do and f*** off."

"You leave Profeta alone!" Kouichi growled, tail lashing angrily, ears back against his skull. "She saw this war coming before any of us, and you have no right to doubt her abilities!"
Kouji just flicked a strand of hair out of his face. "Yeah. What gives you the right to pretend you know everything about her, or us? She's the one who had the foresight to bring us here to this world, and we've done a pretty damn good job so far - definitely better than the inhabitants of this place. So why don't you sorry excuse for a scientist go do as Lana says and eff off for a while, or at least shut your mouth and pay attention to what's going on?"
He glared at the strange man. He couldn't stand people who thought they were better than everyone simply because they had skills others didn't, such as this 'scientist' who didn't believe in 'magical falsehoods'... probably because he was sure that his science had 'disproven' magic.

Lana silently groaned--great, now she had followers to randomly pick on the guy. She'd spoken up because as annoying and round-about as this Profeta was, she didn't approve of 'Random Jackass' just talking trash to her...
Also? This would make Lana look REALLY good in front of the heroes--maybe then they wouldn't be judgmental pricks...
And now it was turning into a bullying session. Nice. Lana sighed and grabbed out to Kouichi, running a few fingers through his hair.
"Hush. Don't worry about him, I've got it handled, alright?" and at the same time she raised an eyebrow to Kouji and her tone grew very, very sarcastic, "Thanks, Kouji. It's really nice to know that you've deemed people of Crepusculum utterly useless. We appreciate it, friend."

Kouichi smiled slightly. "Gotcha."
Kouji looked at her over his shoulder, a smirk on his face, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Not at all," he said, winking at her. "I'm just saying that they weren't what y'all needed for the job's all."

Hearing both Lana and Profeta at the same time, Romulus finds the jabbing comments taking precedence over the somber voiced woman infront of him. Twisting his head to look at them, he grimaces with a look of annoyance as the Alternator begins to hum slightly, his ears dull to the words being spouted at him by Kouichi. Snapping his fingers, he shifts Lana and Kouichi about 10 feet away from him, hoping the increased distance would dull their negligible ranting.
Ugh, children and tomboys, the bane of logical acuity.
Turning back to Profeta, he quickly refocuses his attention on what she had previously said. "Well it appears your powers hold some weight, but my skepticism still holds strong. With the state things are in, I'd imagine many are after Trucido, what with his want for mass genocide. But perhaps I spoke to soon, and I apologize for my rude comments and fallacious assumptions, but my disbelief still remains suspended in regards to your abilities.
Holding his hand up to his chin, he rubs it slowly, his expression hinting at his deep thought. Looking skywards for a moment, his attention suddenly fires back to Profeta, his disposition a bit more friendly. Tell you what, I know of a great disaster that shall occur, affecting worlds beyond our own should Trucido succeed. This information would be impossible to know through natural means, but one such as yourself, should your purported powers exist, should be able to gaze into the possible future and predict such an outcome, no? Impress me Profeta, prove to me that fate has indeed brought me here to join your band of warriors in the struggle against this man."
Thought presenting Profeta with a kind of "this-or-that" situation, Romulus already had it in his mind that he would join with her, regardless of her supposed future-sight. It only made sense to band together with those striving for the same goal. Heck, that line of thinking was the only reason he had gotten as far in his dimensional research in the first place. Looking on at Profeta, he awaits her response with a unknown enthusiasm; his mind unsure whether to put his faith in his own knowledge, or the possibility of an unprecedented occurrence.

"The great disaster, that you speak of, is a ripple effect would traverse all other dimensional planes. Making each reality lose their sustainability and will quickly collapsed under it own faulted existence. That is why Trucido must be stopped. Am I correct?" She asked him.

Romulus looked on with intrigue. He was wrong, genuinely, completely wrong. Thought realizing that he indeed was in the right position to be skeptical initially, now he just felt like bad for being so obstinate. Looking at it in a different light, he realizes that he was wrong to simply condemn the notion of future-sight simply because the empirical evidence to prove the notion had not yet been supplied. Why the very thing he'd just done had been what the magic community had been doing to him for his entire career. Shaking his head at his own fallacious mistake, he swallows his pride and lets out a sigh.
"Well i suppose I owe you more than a apology. My skepticism, though founded, was presented in a most offensive manner. If at all possible, I would like to start things on the proper foot this time. I am Romulus Jei Owen, but i suppose you already know that. In fact, i suppose i need to explain little more about myself considering. Anyway, I would be all to happy to associate with you and assist in any way possible with this man's downfall."

As he was teleported, Kouji grumbled under his breath. "You know, that guy kinda ticks me off."
Kouichi nodded, arms crossed, but (according to his ears) a bit more relaxed. It seemed like the man - Owen? - was more willing to be reasonable this time, although his sneer still annoyed the feline boy.

"There is no need to apologize. People have always be skeptical at prophets. You are not out of line." She said. "Well, if you really want to help, can you get to know some of the other heroes here? I do not like my heroes to not know each other."

She was getting tired of this, to say the least. She'd been in (she guessed, she'd overhead someone say the name) Moscow, and she'd been hiding out in the sewers trying to get rest. And then she'd ended up here, though once again, here seemed to be someplace she didn't know. And once again, she felt like her senses were muffled... but perhaps it had more to do with her recent encounter with that man... Trucido?

"Hello, Celes, are you feeling alright?" She asked as she looked at her. "I am Profeta. It is nice to meet you."

She blinked. Things were getting more and more strange... she didn't always react well to strange. "Where am I? Who are you?" she asked in rapid-fire. In her mind, she quietly asked "And why are my abilities so out of whack...?" She pulled her cloak tighter around her, it being her only solace.
