"Oh pff, you are training me so...*yaawwwwnnn*...so I got you some more grocries." Zee yawned again and gave Profeta a little box. "And I noticed you didn't have a mirro-oh?" Zee looked at the people around. "We have visitors?"

"Zee, this are the heroes. The ones that are going to save the worlds." She said, "I do not need a mirror, dear, but thank you for the gift."

"Oh...should I start making some tea or something ma'am?" Zee started toward the cave.

"No, they will be fine. If you want some tea, then you can make some for you." She said.

"O-oh, alright then ma'am. I'll put the grocries away." Zee stumbled away to the cave, where he would later be found asleep at the pantry door.

"Thank you, Zee. I will be in to help in a minute." She said. She lean over to Kevin "You are going to need to carry him to his bed. Or at least make sure that the rats do not get him."

"That may be true, though magic isn't everything. Science is important, too. At least that's what Mother said because our family uses more natural medicines and potions that we create ourselves, but with a little magic because it helps speed things along and it is efficient--she always said it is wise for a healer who has many people to look after to conserve their magic, afterall," Jasmine answered, frowning as she thought about her mother. She shook her head suddenly as she continued, "as for ventures against Trucido, well...oh! That's how I met Andy, of course--he saved me from Trucido once. We started travelling together and he's been training in order to get stronger to defeat Trucido and the royals that help him; I've been studying and practicing my own magic too in order to help Andy in his journey. We've all just come back from Earth after we followed the Sumata out to stop them from gaining some relics, and other than that we've run into a few of the royals ourselves..."
She bit her lip, the first royal she'd thought of was Lilith, and when she thought of Lilith her thoughts immediately went to seeing and holding her mother's cold, dead body in their house.

Post by Kouichi - Yami No Kuro Raion on Nov 15, 2009 13:42:49 GMT -5
Kouichi noticed Owen talking to Jasmine, but since he'd obviously decided not to talk to either him or Lana, he figured that moving over and talking to them wouldn't be such a good idea. He also noticed Owen seemed to be giving them the cold shoulder - a bit unfair, considering it had been Kouji who had mouthed off to the man the most, and who still hadn't seemed to have changed his opinion.
"Hmpf! Good riddance," Kouji was saying, glaring at Owen's turned back.
"Oh, come on, Kouji! You heard him apologize! Besides, he looks like a scientist to me, they're always skeptical of magic without proof. You can't blame him for being skeptical, I mean, I know you were at first."
He didn't quite look at Kouji when he said that. He knew his brother had thought it was a dream or a prank the first time he had stepped off-world, but had warmed up rather quickly - at least from the stories. He hadn't been there, hadn't been skeptical - the words of Cherubi had poisoned his mind. He tail flicked restlessly behind him with his worry and his memories.

Lana waved her hands in front of both Kouichi and Kouji and shook her head.
"Who cares who did what, alright? Let the guy act how he wants to act and don't give a crap, even if Kouji is a loud mouth," she answered and instinctively threw her arm around Kouichi, "we need to worry about what we're doing next. Does anyone in this group have a damn clue what we're all supposed to be doing? Otherwise, I should drop into Nerezza at some point before I get the hell out of there for good..."

Post by Romulus Jei Owen on Nov 16, 2009 0:45:36 GMT -5
Romulus couldn't help but notice Jasmine's slight reactions to her own tale; her momentarily deterred attention, her glossy gaze and the biting of her lip all hinted at a sombering story behind the recollected events.
"I apologize. It appears my inquiries have put you off some. I am fascinated by your tales, but should they cause unpleasant memories to resurface, then perhaps we best change subjects. On that note, I believe that magic does indeed have it's place in the world, but I think people need realize the importance of science as a means of understanding the world. Magic cannot supplement science in this respect, as it simple serves a means of altering what we see, rather than giving insight into its deep inner workings."
Romulus paused for a second, his eyes staring off into space for a second before a grin appearing on his face.
"But enough of my stuffy rambling. I'll tell you, one of the best things about being a scientist in such a world as this is have people pass along the notion that i don't believe in magic. The notion is simply hilarious, wouldn't you say? The very idea that someone in this magically driven society thinks that someone doesn't believe in magic? Why I'd say that those people are almost as dense as someone who actually doesn't believe in magic," Romulus quips letting out a hearty chuckle, hoping Jasmine shares in his sense of humor.

For someone who was on the 'different' end of the spectrum than herself, Jasmine actually liked listening to Romulus. It'd be nice to keep listening to his scientific talk, anyway, she was really intrigued.
Of course, she had to admit this wasn't the best time for it. She let out a giggle as he spoke about people actually trying to tell him he didn't believe in magic--it really was ridiculous, seeing as how there was...well, magic everywhere. There was no way you could deny its existence.
"People are silly and strange, that is a fact. Maybe someday they'll get better but...people are pretty set on their decisions once they make them around here," she answered, her smile creeping back onto her face.

"So it seems..." Romulus states as he rubs his chin. "But i should not be so hasty as to judge all of them as being the same."
Romulus was enjoying his back and forth with Jasmine; her amicable personality being much more pleasant to deal with than those of the stuffy lot that filled Santo-Luce. When Romulus thought about it, seldom had he ever left Santo-Luce. Except for the occasional venture to obtain some materials or funds, Romulus kept himself holed up within the capitals' walls.
Santo-Luce was the perfect place for scholar and researchers to immerse themselves in their work, but for a social creature like Romulus, his want to exchange pleasantries with locals often went sour, most scenarios ending with him being ignored or actively snubbed.
The outside world held some similar problems, but it was nice that he finally found someone who enjoyed socializing the way he did.
"It looks like people seem to function as small units rather than as a whole around here. It brings into question the level of teamwork and the possible methods of efficiency that are put into place on your missions. This is just an observation thought, so I may be wrong, but looking at you and Mr. Andy over here, while other groups seem to converse amongst themselves makes me wonder about the inner relations and their subsequent effect on how smoothly things go. Have you noticed any discord amongst your group, or am I just imagine the possibility?"

Jasmine blinked at Romulus and then took a good look around at the whole group.
"We certainly...do seem to keep to our own, don't we?" she answered slowly, but was quick to shine with optimism, "but we all get along, and that's what's important when we are all together like this. It seems more like we stick to our own, forming our own teams and taking the Sumata out in our ways and just report back to each other. It's more like we organized ourselves rather than have someone telling us constantly what to do...though sometimes it would be nice if we had a bit more of an idea of what was going on from time to time...Mr. Yeligar usually tells us, though."

"Hmm, interesting. I assure you I mean nothing by my it; I'm just interested, that all. So who is this Yeligar fellow? From what you say, it sound like he's the one who calls the shots around here; at least in that roundabout way that you mentioned. And on a side note, just how many of these Sumata members are left? Surely you must have disposed of at least of a few of them with the number of warriors you have present?"
Romulus was quite new to this whole scene, so it was interesting to try and understand how the story had developed thus far. Many questions had been laid before him, but very few of the questions had been answered. "Who were the Sumata XII", "who exactly was Trucido" and "what spurred these people on to try and destroy the world," were just a couple questions that ran through his mind as he tried to piece the bits of info that he had gathered thus far into a coherent series of events. But Romulus had little to worry about, as Jasmine seemed more than informed as to how things were running in this whole ordeal.
Attention still focused on her, he eagerly awaits an answer; his intrigue causing his eyes to brim with a kind of whimsical curiosity.

Jasmine looked around until she spied him, pointing Yeligar out to Romulus.
"Well, there's Yeligar over there. He's the older man with the eyepatch. He's been the one being sent around by Profeta to collect the chosen heroes and bring them here to help us. He's an odd man, but my papa worked with him in the military for some time, saying he was a good man to take orders from," Jasmine answered that easily. The next question wasn't so easily answered, nor was she too enthusiastic to answer it.
"I haven't heard anything of any of the Sumata fallen, yet. Some of us had come close, but then they'd manage to get away somehow. It's hard, especially when you're not entirely sure what you're up against," the way she responded sounded shameful. Really, they couldn't be proud of the fact that they'd come so far and none of the royals had surrendered yet, but it seemed like they were getting closer with every attempt.
