"Relax, Celes. I am Profeta, the prophet. I know the name is not unique, but it is a long story. You are on the planet Crepusculum, and we are all friends here. No one is going to hurt you, and your abilities are so out of 'whack' because you are scared, and that is not your nature." She said as she patted her shoulder.

A good idea. I should get to know my fellow colleagues in preparation for future vocational duties. Now where should I start?
Glancing around at those that inhabited the vicinity, Romulus noticed many of the people already engaging in conversation and thought it best to avoid interrupting, should he risk the chance of making them irate. His notice specifically skipped past Kouichi and Lana, knowing full well that they had already decided what kind of person he was, and they were too stubborn to make an effort to change it. Continuing his inspection, his eyes caught a glimpse of a young woman; her bright eyes hopefully signifying a sunny disposition. Making his way to Jasmine, he approaches her with a friendly grin.
"Hello milady," he greets with an outstretched hand. "My name is Romulus Jei Owen. As of now I shall be a new cohort of your and your group, and thought it best to begin learning about those I'll be working with. What, may I ask, is you name?"

Jasmine was still a little shaken from Mark's episode earlier, so as Romulus approached her she took a cautionary step back, closer to Andy. It bothered her to do so because she knew damn well that if her mother was around in that scene at the very moment, she'd have given Jasmine a lecturing for it because 'you should always open your heart to others' and 'pay attention to how a person talks/acts, they'll drop signals to let you know what kind of a person they are.'
And Romulus actually hadn't given off anything negative, save for his comments to Profeta--even afterward though he'd apologized like any gentleman should have.
So, trying again, Jasmine reached out a shaking hand to take Romulus's, a smile slowly starting to form at the corners of her mouth as she answered him quietly, "H-hello, Mr. Owen. I-I am Jasmine Loque, a healer."

As he watched her, he raised an eyebrow taking in the few details presented by her reactions. It appeared that she was either hesitant to associate herself with him or that something else had put her on edge, but seeing as how no others seemed openly distraught, Romulus suspected that most everyone here had already labeled him as "unfavorable company." He also picked up on her slight movement towards the orange-haired fellow, a maneuver that hinted at a possible connection between the two. If Romulus wanted to get in with this group, he was going to have to climb a social ladder, and just like any ladder, he would have to start at the bottom rung.
His visible attention never breaking from Jasmine, he used his raised brow to hint at a state of intrigue as she stated her occupation.
"A healer. Really? You find so few people in the world who would dedicate themselves to such an altruistic field of study these days. It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Loque," Romulus stated as he shook her hand.
Taking a quick look side to side, he leans in close and whispers to Jasmine, "Now, I do hate to ask such a thing of you, but it would appear I have stuck myself in a bit of a rough situation with your lot. It appears my prior skepticism, or rather my verbal deliverance of it, has landed me in the proverbial "bad books" and i require someone pleasant like you to help me integrate in with them. I know i put you in a precarious position, but if you would assist me, i would be in you debt."

Jasmine smiled, her cheeks flushing slightly as she answered, "Oh? N-no, of course there aren't many healers these days. My mother was one and trained me, telling me that there will always be warriors but even they need help sometimes and that's where our job is important."
She tensed up as Romulus leaned in closer, but after getting the notion that he wasn't up to anything she quickly relaxed, her smile falling into a depressed frown.
"We don't mean to be so rude, Mr. Owen," she spoke again, trying to match her volume to his, "we're all a little upset right now, having lost an important person in our group. We are usually much easier to get along with. If you feel comfortable with me then that is alright, you'll see you'll fit right in..."
Keep your heart open, and have faith. She'd keep her heart open to Romulus, and if it turned out he really was a lying scumbag then she had faith that Andy would deal with him. But, as grim as the situation was, Jasmine seemed to have a good feeling about this man. Not enough to know for sure, but he seemed alright.
And if he seemed alright, she had no reason to distrust him.

"Well I'm sorry to hear about your cohort. As for the way things stand, I would like to believe that it would be so simple, but I somewhat doubt that others will be as accepting and pleasant as you," he says glancing at Lana and Kouichi. "But i suppose i shouldn't condemn my chances quite yet. What say we start simple and you introduce me to some of your closer acquaintances?"

Jasmine smiled.
"You'll just need to grow on them, is all. But of course, I can introduce you to a few people that are not only rather close to me, but are far easier to get along with--like Andy here!" she giggled and nudged the orange-headed man beside her, "Andy, this is Mr. Owen. He's uh...I don't know what he does, but I'm sure it's good. Right, sir?"

She waved despite her discomfort. "Glad to be here... and we're safe...? I suppose that's a good way of being. Are you the one who brought me to Earth, Profeta?"

"You are safe, and I am a partial reason why you are here. I requested for some of the best warriors, and they did not want to bring people to a foreign world without a major threat, or the warriors consent. Someone, or something gave you a final push." She said, "But still, it is an honor to meet you, Celestia Angelina Chère, from the Empire of Terranigma."

"A pleasure to meet you Mr. Andy. And i do apologize Miss Loque, after all, it is only fair I inform you of my occupation and abilities after you so willingly dispensed the same information. I'm the head scientist in Santo-Luce, or rather I was until an unfortunate mishap. But thanks to a rather unlikely string of events, I am now back home, and in possession of this wondrous device," he laments as he brandishes the Alternator equipped to his left arm.
"This device allows me to allocate my being within the quantum stings that make up the material world, and alter them as i see fit through the manipulation of laws, equations and physics. Umm, in laymen terms, I possess a rudimentary control over space through the use of formulas."

"A scientist...? How wonderful! And how eloquently you speak," Jasmine seemed to lose the worries she'd had before, becoming naively wrapped up in everything Romulus said, "and what kind of things did you work with? I-I mean besides the manipulation of space?"

"I've published multiple papers on several different subjects, but all of them somehow pertain to physics and space. Oh, except for the work i did with Alchemy. Anyway, one might think that doing so would put one in a respectable position, but sadly, science is a study that is largely frowned upon and belittled by the magic community, which sadly outnumbers the scientific community, making publishing such articles rather difficult. But enough about my trails and tribulation. What I'm really interested in is what tales you hold in regards to you ventures against this Trucido fellow."

Zee stumbled into the area, carrying a pack full of stuff on his back. "Ma'am," Zee yawned, "I have some stuff for you."

"Oh, Zee. You did not have to get me anything." She said as she walked over him and help him.
