(Last Historical Thread, Saints and Itan-Sha only.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY40zRLnfnQ&feature=relatedThink for a moment: There is an old, vacant house that throughout the years have become unsafe for anyone to live in, the wood threatens to break with every footstep. Kids ignore their parents warnings and play in it anyway, with every leap, every pretend victory over the dreaded enemy the wood is given more and more strain causing the wood to bend and mold to the pressure given to it, until the floor below them break and collapse under the pressure, killing the children who ignored their parents warnings. Now imagine again for a moment, could the world Allurom, which carries an large amount of weight, be given such pressure? Such pressure that the ground shakes in fear, the trees mold to the pressure and the skies become unrecognizable until finally 'snapping'? Could such pressure even be given, or for that matter, could one individual apply such pressure by just being there? Yes. Kain watched the skies in the distance, they were so different than that ones he was under, they were bent in such a terrible way, it was a dead giveaway that Duo was coming with his army. 'Thump', 'thump', was heard in the distance as the army approached, not more than fifteen minutes away Kain closed his eyes, releasing his power into the air to combat the growing presence of Duo's power, which would drive the soldier insane. It wasn't as powerful as Duo's pressure, but it did the trick, the skies above him no longer budged to the pressure Duo was giving off, it would last forever, but it would do. "Prepare!" Kain yelled out. His voice traveling with the wind, curtsey of Roxa's powers, to all of the armies. Santo-Lucian armies were on the left flank, Nerezzian armies on the right, each being cloaked by Nathan's illusion powers. The Itan-Sha were at the front of the Nerezzian army, ready to charge when order. While Kain's Saints stood by his side: Everto, A.B.A., Sonorc, Roxa, Alessia, Rasayan, Cyrena, Ineria, Nia, Bart, Grey, Van and Nathan. "History will be made today," Kain began, "It will be made through the blood, sweat and sacrifices made, it will be made by the weapon you wield and the soul that drives it. Death stands with us today, but not as a carrier of what is to come, but as a deliverer to what you will give!" The roars from the soldiers echoed loud and clear as Kain stepped up. "Prepare for what will come, your blood is my blood... god bless you all." Kain's voice faded from the wind, the ending bit barely heard among the troops. Duo's army was in the distance, its width and length far outnumbering their own. It was enough to make any man run away, but Kain prayed that they would stay and fight, for he was sure their plan would work. "Alessia, take Grey into position. Nathan, move!" They did as ordered, Alessia grabbed onto Grey and used her solar power, boasting them up into the sky, safe distance from the armies. Nathan did as told and got onto the side, focusing his power to keep the other armies hidden from view. "Everyone else," he glanced back to the other Saints, "Good luck and may we see each other soon." The armies began to close the gap, the front line soldiers were easily identified. They didn't move a step forward, instead they pounded their weapons against each other, creating a rhythm of pounding meant to scare the defending armies. "Let's end this... Grey, now!" Kain yelled, his voice echoing up to Grey.

"Alright guys, you're now gonna see what I'm the number 2!" Grey smiled as Alessia flew him up into the air. Up in the air he got a clear view of how massive the numbers were, how incredibly screwed they were under normal circumstances... however, this was not normal at all.
Grey raised his hands up, picking a perfect spot. His target was the back row, anything closer would cause harm to their own troops.
Grey smiled and closed his fist, "Ka-boom." Suddenly there was a loud noise unparalleled to anything, a massive bomb had just went off in the back rows of the army. What is compared to a nuclear bomb, the death toll on Duo's side was enormous.
Two more went off in different spots, they were powerful, causing massive damaged to the armies, but for some reason they were... weaken then they should be.
Grey frowned, "Duo.." No doubt he was weakening Grey's power, his influence over the battlefield made Grey weaker and Duo's troops unafraid of anything. Despite three devastating strikes their troops it didn't seem to phase them.
Below Kain took out his blade and directed his voice towards the Crepusculum army. "CHARGE!" the other two armies would stay silent for now, waiting for Duo's army to draw closer, Crepusculum armies would lure them in.

It was time. Brea was mounted atop a horse alongside the rest of the Itan-Sha that had come along with him, the battle-hardened swordsmen were sat at the front, the recruits behind, the mages on their flanks offering support fire. One blonde-haired man trotted forwards, turned to face his men and with a long and drawn out hiss, unsheathed a gleaming red katana. He looked across his ranks with utter silence, only the fluttering of their banners being heard despite Kain's order to charge. He nodded once, and every swordsman, mounted or not, drew out their sword in one huge hiss, like that of a giant snake. Brea turned to face the enemy. "For our swords! And our loved ones!"He looked once at Alta and nodded, spotting Quentin and Crasa nodding to one another in the corner of his eye. He swung his sword down. "FORWARD!"Charge of the HereticsThe Itan-Sha charged. Swords glinting on the sky as they led the vanguard force towards Duo's army, it was up to them, they would set the moral pace for this battle and then in turn would decide on how this would turn out. Duo's lines seemed to get closer, and closer until it dawned on Brea that they were nearly upon Duo's shield wall. With one final triumphant yell that rung out across the battlefield, his horse slowed as Brea leaped off it's back, over the shield wall, and into the thick of the enemy troops... Instantly, he began to cut down the enemy that lay before him, many of them falling to his sword like a hot knife through butter. It was not long before he felt Alta's presence at his side, cutting through hordes of soldiers alongside him, then Crasa, who despite being wounded, still swung her mighty two-handed katana like it were but a toothpick, and finally Quentin was there, dark magic blazing against Duo's troops as his katana sliced through the enemy. For the briefest of moments, Brea got the feeling that they were not one unit fighting against an army, they were one being, one being who would make or break. As the other swordsmen broke through the line, Brea knew that they had given the right example. Behind him he could hear the cheering of the Crepusculum soldiers and generals as they followed the Vanguard force into battle. Brea let out another roar as he cut down one more soldier, already his arms were caked in the blood of his foes.

Kain watched from the back as the Crepusculum armies charged Duo's forces. The Itan-Sha preformed magnificently, their skill and determination raised the moral of the troops following them. However, the Crepusculum army would be crushed soon if they didn't act quickly.
"Now!" Kain roared, his voice echoing to the generals of the Nerezzian and Santo-Lucian armies, they were to ride to the side and plunge deep into Duo's armies, it was a killing move that not even Duo's armies could recover from. As long as they stayed hidden they could make it, otherwise they'd just join the blood bath that was commencing between Crepusculum and Duo.
The two massive armies began to move, their cavalry moving quickly to their sides.

[ www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3SzBTNFIrE&feature=relmfu the music I post it really just what I feel fits it. No need to even listen to it if you do not want to. ;D] Nathan focused on his mission, a mission that basically defined the armies victory or loss. To keep two massive armies hidden from an enemy so powerful takes great focus, it degrades your physical and mental awareness. Nathan couldn't feel anything happening around him, it was like he was suspended over battlefield. So when a voice whispered into his ear, it took a moment for him to register the cold, dark voice that spoke to him. "Nathan..." the voice spoke, snapping Nathan out of his focus, he didn't let the illusion fall, however. He quickly turned around to face a none other than Duo himself, his hand were covered in blood... Nathan's guards blood who were killed in such a horrific way. "D-Duo!" Nathan gulped. "Yep," Duo smiled, getting down on his knees, looking straight into his eyes, "How are you doing, old friend?" Seeing his face was like a rush of memories for Nathan. None of the Saints knew this (not counting Kain), but Nathan had served in Duo's army. He was in charge of extracting information from prisoners, he used his mind bending powers to put them under terrible circumstances. Giving a prisoner a heart attack was just a normal days work for him. He hated it, and when he heard that Kain Angelo, Prince of Unda, had abandoned the army Nathan decided to follow. He feared Duo, but what he feared more is what he was capable of doing to the those who cared for him, the Saints were the only people who ever thought of him as a family member. And Duo could and would take it all away. "You will lose," Nathan managed to get out, his voice shaking. "No, I will win," Duo said while lifting his hand up, "And I will kill everyone here, starting with that old man, moving to the pretty fire girl and ending with my brother." He grabbed Nathan by the neck and slammed him against the ground, "And as I kill them you will watch, because you know that you cannot defeat me. You know the Saints can not defeat me. You know everyone will die." His eyes trailed up to the sky, falling on Alessia and Grey, who were causing devastating attacks on his army. "I take it back... I'll start with those two." He raised his hand up and closed it into a solid fist, a force slammed down on Alessia, with such power that it knocked her out of the skies. "NOOOO!" Nathan cried watching the two fall, "You son of a bitch, I'll kill you-" Duo squeezed harder, cutting Nathan off. "You think I like killing people, Nathan?" Duo shook his head, "It must be done, there is no other choice." He looked at Nathan and smiled, "You do not wish to watch your friends die, do you?" He picked him up, still holding him by the neck, "Runaway." Duo tossed Nathan to the side, his body slamming against the tree, the force causing him to lose all focus and the armies he was cloaking suddenly became visible. They fell right into a death trap, they were close enough and Duo's armies shifted perfectly with the surprise. "No..." Nathan said, watching as the massacre began, "No, god, please no..." Duo looked back at him once, his cold, dead eyes seemed to pierce Nathan's soul. "Run." Duo stated. Nathan didn't move at first, his legs were shaking, begging him to run as fast as he could. In a moment Nathan did as his legs said and he ran, as fast as he could, he didn't want to watch his family be killed. So he ran.

Alessia couldn't describe it, such force knocked into her that she lost all ability to control her powers. She could barely keep awake as they fell towards the ground, Grey yelling for her to wake up as they fell.
She stared at the ground and as she regained focus she suddenly realized that they were falling right for it. She grabbed Grey with one hand and focused her energy into the other, releasing a massive force of solar energy onto the ground, slowly their fall right before they hit the ground.
The fall still hurt, she fell straight onto her dominant leg, breaking it. She screamed in pain, her broken leg throbbing in pain. Grey helped her up, they were right on the edge of the battlefield, from here they could see the Santo-Lucian and Crepusculum armies ranks begin to fall, even a couple men running away. Nerrezian armies continued to fight but even they were loosing soldiers fast, their soldiers falling faster than the others.
"Oh god..." Alessia cringed as Grey picked her up and began moving back towards Kain, Grey used his powers to blast a couple of Duo's troops as they moved back. Suddenly they stopped, the man standing before them was none other than Duo himself.
None of them spoke, they just stared at Duo. Seemly awaiting him to move against them.

Blood. Death. Horror. Roxa was in his element, it wasn't as difficult as Kain had made out and he could feel himself gaining the upper hand against those that they were facing, and it filled him with a sense of pride and power. The necklace he wore round his neck suddenly didn't seem so heavy, I mean, they were winning! It seems that Kain's dream would become a reality! Then it all started to fall apart... Literally, crash down around him. Soldiers started to die, no-one he knew but the psychological impact remained. The Santo-Lucian and Nerezzian armies were revealed and the slaughter began. Only the Saints and the Itan-Sha were still holding their own apparently, but the Heretics recruits had broken, and hard, they were trying to retreat, but any caught trying to retreat past the lines were cut down by their superiors.
And then Duo showed up. Now was where things got really intense. He had made a beeline for Grey and Alessia and he couldn't let things go South now, he needed to make sure that Alessia survived! He made his promise. Gods be damned he wanted that breakfast.
With one quick burst of air pressure, he had launched himself towards their location, cutting through enemy forces he swiftly found himself beside his allies. Readying his two blades he let his hood fall down, revealing his face. He frowned at the man in front of him, taking a deep breath he waited alongside the others, wanting to see who would make the first move...

"Roxa!" Grey yelled, surprised by the sudden appearance of his ally. He put Alessia down and prepared for a fight with Duo. "You attack after I do, we'll catch him by surprise." His thoughts echoed in Roxa's head as Grey began to charge a small, atomic ball in his hands.
"Rhaaa!" Grey yelled, throwing the small ball. If it managed to make contact with Duo it would be the equivalent of an atomic bomb going off in your insides. The orb flew through the air and collided into the palm of Duo's hands, he blocked it, but it was distracting him enough for Roxa to catch him by surprise.

Roxa was right behind Grey's attack when Duo blocked it. Leaping into the air with a burst of ai pressure, he pulled a neat one hundred and eighty degree turn before landing at Duo's back. Swords in hand, time seemed to slow down as Roxa made his move. He could steadily make out the sound of every thumping heart beat that rattled against his rib cage, he could feel his lungs steadily expanding as he took in a deep breath of air, he could see the individual droplets of blood on his swords as they lunged forth towards Duo's exposed back.
Time steadily gained its momentum again as Roxa snapped his mind back into reality. His heartbeat felt normal again, his breathes once more came naturally and the blood on his sword just became another red blur as the points of his sword edged closer and closer to Duo.
The necklace felt heavy again.

Roxa's blade stopped moving, caught on a barrier that hovered over Duo. There was a moment of silence as Duo simply stared at Roxa... then Duo smiled.
With one hand he tossed back the ball of atomic energy at Grey and Alessia and with the other he used a forceful push to send Roxa back, the same move he had used on Alessia earlier.
"SHIT!" Grey yelled as the energy flew back, he didn't have time to catch it, so he did the one thing he could. He dived onto Alessia, covering her from the blast from the energy. He was unaffected by the energy but the troops around him... they didn't stand a chance. The atomic blow was about 1/10 of the size of a normal atomic bomb, devastating it was to what troops had stayed and fought.

"Bah! Who needs a god and prayers, when you have a master swordsman and his blade at hand?!"
The wise words of Faharia Infernus rang through Brea's mind as he looked at the oncoming attack reflected by Duo. For the briefest of moments, he had an insane thought, some way to at least save some of the men. Well, if he didn't do it, he'd die. If he did and it didn't work, he'd die. But what of it did work? There's no harm in finding out, right? It's not like he had anything to lose...
Turning to the incoming explosion, he gripped his katana in two hands and whispered something briefly to the blade.
"You are my God."
Then, with a huge roar he sliced. His energy channelled through the badly souled blade, converting his own bodily energy into raw destructive power. The sword sliced through the nuclear force and split in two, sending it shooting off to the left and right. Those ok the flanks still perished, but the center survived, including most of the Itan-Sha. "Alta!" He called, dropping onto one knee, exhausted. Alta cut her way towards him, kneeling at his side she placed a hand on his shoulder. "Brea! Are you alright?!" He nodded with a smile. "Go! You have to retreat... Turn back any who try to flee... We need everyone for this..." she gave him a nod and kissed him briefly.
"Don't die, Brea." She wasn't asking, she was demanding, eyes glistening with tears. "By the blades, don't die!" They both stood up, Brea having to stab his katana into the ground for support, he eventually spoke. "We do not worship the gods. We worship our blades, and our loved ones." He gave his friend and companion a weary smile. "Hear that, Alta? I worship you... Now go!" She kissed him once more before running off, orange hair fluttering. It would be the last time Brea would see her, after all this is over, in 1000 years time he would find her katana in a museum and realise what had happened.
Turning to the Saints, he limped over, burnt and no doubt irradiated. He still needed to help.

Kain watched as the armies began to break off and spread away, so many soldiers simply left the fight... their final hope had just dimmed away. Betrayed by the armies that vowed to fight and by his own brother Kain descended the small hill that he had been commanding the armies from.
Drawing his blade he slashed through whatever soldier that attempted to stop him. He made his way down to where Roxa had been thrown, he grabbed him and pulled Roxa to his feet.
"Roxa," Kain began, "Fall back, now. Take the Saints and run." Kain ordered, "I'm not going to watch you guys be killed, you need to run!"
Kain watched as Brea cut across the atomic blast, the impressive move probably saved a great deal of lives.

"No, Kain!" Roxa growled, shaking himself free. "We're stood here because we chose to fight alongside you!" Reaching into his jacket he pulled out the prayer necklace and wrapped it around his own fist efore gripping his sword once again. "Another promise, Kain. We all chose one... We're all going to see it through." There was a steely defiance in his eyes as he spoke "Together! Saints.. And Itan-Sha... And all who stand against this tyrant!" He turned to face Duo.
"You're dream, Kain... I'll see it through... Via any means necessary."
A dark crawling sensation in the back of his mind.
"Any means necessary, Hm?"

Quentin Warz was one of the few to slip through the Itan-Sha lines and begin to make his retreat. He saw Brea's impressive feat against the nuclear attack and sighed. "You're the true Saido, Brea... I could never fulfil that role..." He shook his head and fell back with all the others who had the sense to run away.
"QUENTIN CORNELIUS WARZ!"
He looked up to see an enraged Alta Frei glaring at him. "You turn back and march right towards that battle... This. Very. Instant." Quentin shook his head, stopping in his tracks "No, Alta. I'm not going to die for a battle that will change nothing. It's pointless! Brea is just going to get himself killed, for what?! Bugger all, Alta! If you were wise you'd come with me." Alta's already damp eyes were glistening with tears as she readied her blade. "No... Quentin..." She said with a vigourous shake of her head. "Brea fights for a dream down there... And you, his comrade... His friend... HIS BLOODY BLADE BROTHER!" Tears streamed down her dirt encrusted cheeks, leaving clear paths down the side of her face. A true weeping angel.
"You'd abandon him when he needs you most!" Her body convulsed in a sob as she gripped the hilt of her sword tighter. "She's dead, Quentin... Crasa is dead... You should have been there to protect her... I should be there to protect Brea! You promised you'd never leave her side!" She took an aggressive, misaimed strike at Quentin, but he parried it effortlessly "Quentin... He needs us... All of us..." Quentin once more shoo his head "I-I can't, Alta..." She came at him again, but he launched a paralysing bolt at her, sending her sprawling to the floor, unable to move her limbs.
He turned, staring out at the battlefield, knowing he was now safe. "I just... Can't..."

Kain was stunned by the young man's determination, he did not have a personnel grudge against Duo yet he was ready to fight for the end. "Roxa..." Kain began, he was practically stunned for words, "... I suppose we should get start, brother."
Kain turned back to Duo, if they were to die today they would die as a family, together.
"Saints, Itan-Sha!" Kain roared, grabbing the attention of his family and allies, "Let's end this."
Duo simply smiled at his brother, the two powerful gods stared each other for a moment. Duo summoned to blades into his hands, "Let's save the world, Kain." That sentence had been said so many times in the past, both brothers believed that their paths they had taken would save the world.
"Let's save the world." Kain spoke, gripping his sword tightly. There was a brief moment of silence before Kain rushed at Duo, their blades clashing causing a powerful wave of friction as the two brothers began to fight, the other Saints close behind.
