Elysia was once again her throne room, this time hearing requests from the common people of Tuono; something they were sure to take advantage of. Despite the obvious difference between father and daughter, they dreaded the day when she would 'come to her senses' and begin treating the peasants like dirt.
As dull and tedious as it was to hear so many minor concerns it was a necessary task in order to know when there were major problems in her country, and to hear it from sources other than government officials who could so easily be manipulating information for personal gain.
As she dismissed the latest plea from a farm owner to give lower then her enforced wages to labor workers the sound of running came from the hall. A slightly rumpled and out-of-breath servant slowed to a brisk walk to enter the room and bow before her, "Your Majesty... There is a man... He refuses to give his name or halt to be checked for weapons, and he is approaching quickly.."
Quickly Elysia reached for her sword and stood, ready to strike it against the metal on the sides of her throne to create the spark she would need to defend herself as the man entered the throne room.

As a matter of fact, it was not just a man, but a woman barely holding up a man- the man had tried to walk the rest of the way, and just could not.
They looked nearly identical, had it not been for the gender difference, even a close friend may not have been able to tell, and it had been the longest walk for the woman in question- she looked up, yellow eyes shone, and Elysia could more clearly see that the woman was holding up a man in more than a critical condition.
The man, Elysia would realize, was the very same messenger who had come so long ago to deliver news of Celtik's death, in fact, the very same man who had killed him.
Ayaette looked up, and spoke in a voice that was filled with sounds of fatigue, "I...He needs help, Madame." She took a few more breaths, laying him down- he looked mostly fine, minus the bare breathing he exhibited and a delayed reaction to the environment.
"He...he told me that he needed to talk to you, so I figured I would ...do what I can." She then bowed to a knee, making sure to respect the Ruler of Tuono. Her identity would not be shared quite yet, but she had indeed seen everything that happened.
Aya's eyes opened, and he recognized the area, but his words could not escape his mouth, in a state of seeming paralysis even.

Elysia hesitated for a moment before sheathing her sword and approaching the pair. "Call for a healer," she ordered the servant.
She recognized this man, and truely owed him nothing, but their previous and only meeting and shown him to be brave and honorable; traits she would not easily dismiss. She visually examined Ayalan for wounds, though there seemed to be no injuries...
"If you don't mind, I think an introduction and explanation are in order."

Ayaette had been in a bit of surprise, she literally thought this wouldn't work, but she had to do as Aya asked, as she spoke forth.
"Most people know me as Aya as well, but he has only hired me to be ..sort of a doppleganger. A double. While I may not be male, not many people know what the 'Real Aya' Looks like."
She sighed and folded her arms, a giant sword along her backside in a sheath, and she spoke, "My real name is Amalia, and I'm hired to do whatever I must. I'm a mercenary, just like he is." She folded her arms, and looked back at Elysia, "And I assure you this is not how I actually look."
Ayaette knelt down and sighed, turning Aya's face in her hand.
"It's a long story to explain however. It'd probably be best if he explained it all. Just know he's been through a lot." She knelt back up, "And he seemed to ask for you by name- he had been talking about the future of Chalybs; after all, he is its ruler now."

Confusion passed quickly on Elysia's face, but she then replaced it with her usual mask of calm civility. "Then two questions remain. The first is what happened to put him in this state. The second is why he asked for me, although that will most likely have to wait until he has recovered, unless he told you?"

Amalia looked up, and laughed, shaking her head.."How did he end up like this....How about a fight involving two Saints, his sister, and about five consecutive days worth of digging and moving large scale rocks; no sleep."
She looked down and sighed, "It took me a week's travel to get to where he was, and when I did find him, he was nearly out of it- it seemed that Tuono was the closest town, it only took us two day's travel, but by the time it was all done..well now he's gone into some sort of depersonalization. He just..can't do anything.
She sighed and looked up at Elysia, "To be honest, I wouldn't care all that much. But he pays the tax collector, so to speak. And I think ...it seemed automatic when I asked where he wanted to go. He may have planned something involving you..probably months ago, and only put it into action now.."
She looked down at Aya, he was covered in dust and his fingers bloodied and torn apart by cuts and gashes- he had a bit of blood along his lips, and he seemed to be out of it completely besides his light breathing, which seemingly got worse and worse, like he wanted to give up.

Elysia nodded silently as the servant returned with a healer. "Bring him to one of the guest rooms and tend to him. Make sure there is someone with him at all times to monitor his health."
The healer bowed respectfully, "Yes, Your Majesty." He and the servant approached Ayalan and carefully lifted him to carry out her orders as she turned to Amalia.
"What exactly happened that put him in this state? I want a detailed report."

Amalia looked down and tapped her arm with her iron arm claw, before removing the fake arm length gauntlet, placing it against the wall. She then spoke to herself, revealing red hair, and looked back to Elysia.
"He had been looking for his previous girlfriend, Nia- she was a Saint, and you probably know the Saints pretty well," Amalia watched as Aya was carried out, and she closed her eyes.
"He ordered me to find anything out about the Sumata or the Saints, and it seems that he found out Nia's location. He told me that his sister had accompanied him in secret." She folded her arms and looked down again, her armor was so bulky and she had to work so hard to get used to it.
"Then, an apparent struggle had occured...resulting in..well." She sighed a bit, and spoke again, "..He's the only one left from the fight. You'd..have to see the damage to see why he had been digging for so long..and finally he just..lost all of his strength when so many days had passed..you'll probably get the more detailed version of it later from him..but that's what I've got."

Elysia nodded and went to follow the healer, "Exhaustion, then, and sever emotional damage on top of the physical injuries. That explains quite a bit..."
The healer and servant had gone to guest room nearest the throne room and placed Ayalan on the bed. The healer was already tending the wounds on his hands as Elysia walked in. He paused his work momentarily to give her a short bow as she approached the bed.
"Ayalan? Can you hear me?" She waited to see if there was any response.

Amalia took the time to reveal her true outfit, a black corset and thief style pants, and sat down along side the main throne room- she was exhausted as well, having walked with Aya on her shoulder for nearly the whole two days, thankfully the armor held up as well- but she looked at her hands, they were bruised and scratched as well from when she attempted to help him dig.
However, she then stood up- she had to still work, and she closed her eyes, seemingly talking to someone, albeit no one was there.

Ayalan's face was looking a bit fresher since he was washed of the dust, and he felt his breathing more normal- however, when Elysia talked, his eyes remained closed, and he put a thumbs up- he really didn't feel like talking- though his hands were healing up, they still looked scarred.
He had the impression also of not being able to talk-but the healer would have noticed the strained vocal cords of screaming and yelling; his eyes weary from crying and lack of sleep.
Aya was broken, for now, it seemed.

"He needs rest, my Lady," The healer said, bowing again. "Of course," Elysia nodded, and then addressed Ayalan again. "Hold on, Ayalan Invargas. No matter how bleak the situation, there is always hope, and a reason to continue on, even if it isn't immediately obvious."

Ayalan's face made a bit of a smirk, as he opened his bloodshot yellow eyes, and with the raspiest of voices.
"You think so..." He stayed down, as he took a look at a blurried Elysia..
"..What a shocker," He smirked to himself and gave a slighted laugh, but it was all for naught, as he coughed a bit, and sighed.
"What do you want at the moment, Queen?" He stated, because he knew he had to talk to her, but his voice was straining to do what it could right now- he didn't seem well off, and his body looked beyond immediate repair. It would take awhile.

"I want you to rest, and recover. That includes your voice, don't speak anymore until you've healed. You've obviously been through an ordeal. Whatever reason you had for requesting Amalia to bring you here can wait until you are well."

Aya looked up and spoke again, "Queen Donnerlupo.." He slowly sat up, his body working against him but still remaining up- "..Ayaette needs to go back to Chalybs. She needs to assume my role in keeping the people safe. No one knows what I look like yet, so she can do it under the alias, 'Aya' as well.."
He cleared his throat, clearly in intense pain.."And as far as you're concerned..."
"..Your father despised me, and to this day, would want to kill me over and over again, for the rest of his life." Aya took a better look at Elysia now, "So I'm glad to see he had a daughter who everyone can actually respect and look up to."
At this point, Ayalan's consciousness was fading, and with his last words, his voice was gone again, but he stayed sitting up, refusing to just lay down and die, so to speak. He desired to stay up through his treatment.
