And Ayalan listened, folding his arms- he preferred not to make a preemptive judgment, and awaited her dinner to be fully presented.
He looked aside, and saw her- his skill in the shadows were too great for most people, but his eyes would give him away if he watched for too long.
Aya waited for her meal to come before he would make his move; it'd be bad should a servant or otherwise see the sudden movement.

The servant returned, bowing to his queen and holding open the door for the other servants, who carried in several serving trays. Each one was presented to her and she nodded her approval to recieve a serving of each dish, the rest of which was placed on the table. Elysia waited until the servants had left to begin eating.

Ayalan closed his eyes, holding his breath until every servant's footsteps had gone- he then opened his eyes.
Aya walked out slowly, leather armor adorning his body, and his face looked normal rather than beat up- he folded his arms.
"..You know you weren't all that wrong," he started to speak gently, with only a bit of roughness in his voice.
"..I tend to eat alone as well," he pulled up a chair on the complete opposite of the table, his hands crossed into each other, his attack was one of mental prowess.
"So I figured I'd invite myself so you wouldn't have to as well."

Elysia started a bit when Ayalan appeared, then scowled. "Inviting yourself to a meal, do you have no manners? How long were you hiding in the shadows?"

Ayalan smiled as he sat there, closing his eyes.
"I've been here for a bit. Just goes to show you I'm not completely helpless so my road to recovery must be going well," he started as he stood up and opened his eyes.
"And I tend to not have the best of manners, so I'll understand if you just want me to go."
He stood up, his hands went in his pockets, and he walked toward the door nearest her; looking over. "Afterall, I just saw something in you I've felt before. I wish I could help."
Watching her for just a moment, he awaited her response, ready for whatever she felt.

Elysia scoffed. "As long as you are here, you may as well join me. You are still recovering and you should not be wandering this castle while still healing."
She blatantly ignored his comment about help.

Ayalan stopped mid-stride with a small smile, turning around and bowing once.
"Whatever you decree," he said with a slow stride over to the other side of the table again- he sat down, and Aya's eyes gleamed past the food toward her.
"So you're more worried I'll hurt myself between my room and the dining hall? I can't say if I appreciate the sentiment or question the lack of confidence!"
Aya closed his eyes, and breathed in, sighing; "Well then, Queen Donnerlupo, I don't know how often you make dinner talk. I'm not very good at it myself- but why don't you tell me something. About the day, something odd in the air?" He still smirked, sort of basking in a personal victory in his mind.

"Nothing odd that I have noticed."
Her response was cold and clipped.

Ayalan smirked and leaned in, sighing a bit.
"Not one for talking much either, hm?"...he sighed and leaned back in the seat, crossing one leg over the other.
"Queen Donnerlupo...really now. I'm not here to attack you or find out your deepest darkest secret."
"I'm here to talk. Have a pleasant time. Just play along with it for a bit. See how it goes."

"Very well. You are my guest for the moment, so I will indulge you." She called for a servant to bring him a plate setting and serve him food as well.

Ayalan smirked and nodded as he spoke just loud enough, "Well..technically I've made you make me be your guest...but we'll go with your plan."
He saw the plate setting and nodded gently to the servant with appreciation, offering the servant himself to the food with a nod. "Why don't you eat?" He said jusssst out of earshot.
Then he looked up at Elysia, and smiled softly.
"Queen Donnerlupo, can I indulge any questions or any statement you'd like me to comment on? Or perhaps you'd like to tell me of your day?"

"My day was as most of my days are when a half dead mercenary is not presented to me with a plan for a truce between two countries."
She ate a few bites of food before continuing. "Though I am curious as to how you were able to find your way down to the dining hall and remain unnoticed for at least an hour, possibly longer."

Ayalan looked up with a smirk, closing his eyes. "Well I suppose I've added a bit of variety in your life then!" He joked as he leaned back in his seat, eating slowly, finishing his food with very small bites.
"And ah..seems you've got a curious mind. Well. Anyone can do anything they put their heart to of course..."
"..but being trained in the art of stealth for a third of your life certainly helps. And also, being aware of your surroundings can help unbelievably." He pointed over to the darkest pillar of the room.
"Pretty dusty around the base of the back edge of that pillar. People don't normally clean around where normal dinner guests can't see."
Aya then returned a question, "So why do you have such a feast for yourself? I assume you don't eat all of this."

"Naturally, as queen, I am given the first servings of all prepared meals. The servants are eat the rest. After we have eaten all we wish, the serving trays will be taken away and this food added to the rest the servants are too eat."
She had a few more bites. "Who trained you?"
